There are some great matchups today that cannot be ignored. The Los Angeles Kings vs the San Jose Sharks will be your most entertaining tilt of the night unless you are into absolutely one sided affairs. The Washington Capitals are the next team to feast on the carcass of the Buffalo Sabres while the Colorado Avalanche will be burying the Anaheim Ducks.
Here’s an unfair lineup For DFS Hockey 4/9/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Wing | A. Ovechkin | $9,100

Defense | J. Carlson | $6,900

Goalie | C. Petersen | $7,700
Utility | $5,300 |
Anze Kopitar has not scored as many goals as we might have expected by this point this season but to be fair he is a playmaker. He is dishing out apples left and right and has a bushel of 32 so far. Kings versus Sharks games are always entertaining so turn this one on and enjoy.
If you want to watch a team get absolutely destroyed then watch what Alex Ovechkin is going to do to the Sabres tonight. Unlike Anze he scores goals. All of the goals. He is tied fifth in the league right now and has his sights set for the top. Never count Ovi out.
John Carlson is normally too rich for our blood even with his insane production. Against Buffalo though we have to pull the trigger. He is a rare offensive talent considering he is supposed to be stopping pucks from getting in his own net. He is also a horse putting in 28 minutes against the Bruins yesterday.
Cal Petersen is the goalie of the future in Los Angeles. Quick’s reign is slowly coming to a close and Petersen looks good with a crown. He has three 40+ save performances in his last ten games. He will be the star of the show tonight.

Here’s an unfair lineup For DFS Hockey 4/9/21 (using DraftKings Values)
Center | Kopitar | $6,300 | |
Center | L. Eller | $3,900 | |
Wing | Ovechkin | $9,100 | |
Wing | M. Zuccarello | $4,700
Wing | R. Zohorna | $2,500 | |
Defense | J. Carlson | $6,900
Defense | M. Matheson | $3,600
Goalie | C. Petersen | $7,700
Utility | D. Toews | $5,300 |
Lars Eller – C. Who doesn’t love a cheap center paired with one of the greatest goal scorers of all time? To be fair he mostly just wins faceoffs but that has not been on the top line. We are digging deep with this one but still feel good about it.
Mats Zuccarello – W. There is a hilarious video out there on YouTube somewhere where a Swedish player pokes fun at the fact that Zuccarello uses a longer stick than normal for his size by playing with a twig that is about eight feet long. Replete with a mullet it was all in good fun and for charity. What a character.
Radim Zohorna – W. If you have never seen this guy’s name before you are not alone. This is our job and we have no idea who he is. All we know is that he is a mountain of a man and has been putting points on the board for the Penguins while playing fewer than ten minutes a game.
Mike Matheson – D. We are totally taking credit for the little offensive explosion that Matheson has gone on since we took him last. We like his time, his deployment, and the fact that the top guys in Pittsburgh are band aid boys. Matheson has a ton of opportunities here.
Devon Toews – U. Colorado’s cupboard is overflowing with baller defensemen. We typically try and go after a center for our utility but when we saw the price match we decided to go after Toews. He has been playing insane minutes and uses that to get a decent amount of shots and raise your floor.
