NHL DFS Picks For April 8, 2021

Leon Draisaitl DFS

If you are not subscribed yet, just…why? We are not going to win every day but when we do we absolutely crush it. We sat the Avalanche yesterday and went hard after the Minnesota Wild. Did you see that game? The Wild won 8-3 against one of the best teams in the league. Behind the paywall we had Kirill the Thrill and Eriksson Ek. They combined for three goals and an assist. We honestly do not charge enough for what we provide. What are you waiting for?

Here’s an undervalued lineup For Hockey DFS picks 4/8/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterL. Draisaitl$8,400
Center
Wing
WingK. Palmieri$5,200
Wing
DefenseA. Fox$6,700
Defense
GoalieI. Shesterkin$7,900
Utility $2,900

Leon Draisaitl is a spectacle. You cannot take your eyes off of him for a second. He is a car wreck that turns your neck to rubber. Draisaitl is must watch television. Our editor disapproves of cussing but f….this guy is good.

Kyle Palmieri. Let’s talk about this trade from the standpoint of the front office. For a 2021 first rounder and some other details, the New York Islanders acquired Kyle Palmieri and Travis Zajac. The Devils said, “We hope that ends up being the 31st pick because we want those guys to win a cup.” Tough loss for the Devils but the Islanders added more depth to an already filthy team. Let’s see what Palmieri can do with that.

Adam Fox is the real deal and making a better case for himself every game played. Pierre McGuire gets a little creepy about it as he does, but being weird aside he knows how to spot talent. Fox will throw himself in front of pucks and then lead a rush back the other way to score a goal. He does it all.

Igor Shesterkin is hopefully the starter again against the Penguins. Please double check before picking that he is in net. We do not expect the same thrashing that was handed out last game but the matchup is still solid. Shesterkin is having himself quite the year.

Now what do you get if you sign up for $99 now

  • One of our patented high floor defensemen for cheap
  • A straight baller winger
  • A utility guy that just moved to a top line

WingM. Marchment$2,500

Anthony Cirelli – C is a player we really like but hardly ever get the chance to pick. He is the second line center on the Tampa Bay Lightning and should have a long, healthy career ahead of him. Do not get overhyped, he is probably not going to become a top center but he is going to be very productive for a long time.

Artemi Panarin – W is still too cheap at this price. Honestly. It is not out of character for him to just put up a four point night. In some ways he has a low floor, but his ceiling hurts our neck trying to look at it.

Mason Marchment – W. This is your weekly reminder that DraftKings is behind the times on certain players. We took Marchment recently and he picked up an assist for DFS minimum. For whatever reason he is still the same price. He should probably be in the low four thousand range for what he can get you.

Travis Sanheim – D. Is it a terrible idea to take a Flyer right now? Probably, but Sanheim is the last line of defense against opposing offenses. He is our favorite type of player who gets you the peripherals and high floor value. We do not expect him to score points and he does not need to.

Jesper Fast – U. Carolina has spun their top line wheel and Fast is up tonight. Paired with Sebastian Aho he represents juicy, juicy value. He is a solidly average player overall but with time and opportunity he will make something of himself.

With as balanced a lineup as we have today there is no need for alternates. If you are the type of DFS player who makes some modifications to our advice you should be able to easily do what you need. What kind of DFS player are you? Let us know on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) and we will see what we can do to help you in that regard.
