We only get to look at half of the possible games today and so there is not a huge focus on any single team. That said we do like the Toronto Maple Leafs matchup against the Calgary Flames and may lean on them a little more than the others. We are going after goal scorers today so there is a little higher risk as we are considering the floor a little less but you should still end up in good shape.

Auston Matthews is who you came here for. The great part about this pick is that even if he does nothing it was still correct to take him. He could get a hat trick in his sleep if that is what he was dreaming about.
Joe Pavelski continues his storied career by putting up points. Coaching staff can put him in any situation and he will thrive. We should not go after specific types of plays because that is not how fantasy works but we do still hope that he gets a goal off a tip in. When Pavelski is on his play is sublime.
Oliver Ekman-Larsson has had his role reduced a little after an early season injury and the emergence of Jakob Chychrun. That does not mean that he is not worth owning. He plays insane minutes and is still one of the league’s premier threats on the power play. He is the face of the franchise for good reason.
Adin Hill probably thought that he would spend most of his time in Tucson this year but injuries to both Kuemper and Raanta have allowed for not just one but both Roadrunners goalies to make the NHL roster. Hill sits in front of Ivan Prosvetov who is likely the long term solution in Arizona but Adin has more experience with the big club and deserves the nod tonight.

Here’s a scoring lineup For DFS Hockey 4/4/21 (using DraftKings Values)
Center | Matthews | $9,200
Center | E. Lindholm | $5,500
Wing | J. Pavelski | $6,900
Wing | T. Zegras | $3,500 | |
Wing | Volkov | $2,500 | |
Defense | M. Heiskanen | $5,300
Defense | O. Ekman-Larsson | $4,200
Goalie | A. Hill | $7,800 | |
Utility | J. Staal | $5,100 |
Elias Lindholm – C is in a weird position in Calgary. He is on an underperforming team but he himself is still producing. He is still the number one guy and the Flames should be leaving everything on the ice in a big game against the Maple Leafs.
Trevor Zegras – W is our rookie phenom for the day. He may as well get Superstar tattooed across his forehead for all the hype that comes with this kid. We do not like taking forwards who may score against our goalie pick of the day but it is hard to leave him off our sheet.
Alexander Volkov – W has one of the best pictures on DraftKings. The young gun got a goal in his last game and is likely to get a couple more minutes on the ice tonight to see if he can replicate that success. For minimum cost you get a guy trying to solidify his place on the roster.
Miro Heiskanen – D is finally showing signs of life. He will not be winning any awards this year but he still has a lot to prove if he wants to be the number one defenseman in Dallas. Klingberg still owns that spot but Miro will be knocking on his door soon.
Jordan Staal – U has been having a career year which is saying something for this veteran. We do not even remember how long he has been playing but it proceeds even our interest in the sport. Since starting in the league countless players have come and gone but Staal, like his brothers, withstands the test of time and continues to dominate.
