The Dallas Stars were unable to score a goal for the first time in a long time. We still enjoyed our lineup last night as they had the opportunity to move into a playoff spot and stand by taking them for the upset. There will be fewer pickings on the board tonight so the spread will be wider. We will be going after the Winnipeg Jets, Colorado Avalanche, and of course the Vegas Golden Knights.
Here’s a fun lineup For DFS Hockey 4/30/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Defense | C. Makar | $5,900

Goalie | C. Hellebuyck | $7,700
Utility | $4,400 |
Nathan MacKinnon has been off the list for a little while but it had nothing to do with his play. He just kept getting pushed aside by McDavid and Matthews. He is the face of his franchise and should clean up tonight with the matchup against San Jose.
Kyle Connor is an elite goal scorer. Having gone three games without one is a very long time in his world. The Jets have had some tough battles but have a slightly easier opportunity tonight against the Canadiens. They cannot keep him off the scoresheet for long.
Cale Makar goes hand in hand with MacKinnon. This stack will get it done. Makar will not be getting the Norris this year but that is ok. That trophy is in his future.
Connor Hellebuyck has also been off our list for a minute with the Jets hitting a bit of a skid. They should pick it up tonight since their schedule has been full of much harder teams. Helle may not win the Vezina but he deserves all the attention for the fantastic season he is having.

Wing | C. Caufield | $4,200
Wing | M. Appleton | $3,800
Defense | C. Makar | $5,900

Quinton Byfield – C was not in the DraftKings system for his debut and we were not happy about it. To be fair, we went with Gabe Vilardi who scored us a goal but this guy is worth owning in all formats. The Kings are taking his development seriously and were vocal about letting him make mistakes and learn the NHL at his own pace. He is going to change the league. It may not be today but you will be hearing this dude’s name for a long time.
Cole Caufield – W is still chasing his first goal and it will happen sooner rather than later. We are actually a little surprised that it has not happened in his first two games but that is a testament to the hype around this kid. It is going to happen and it will be glorious.
Mason Appleton – W is taking the place of Zach Aston-Reese today. We called Reese’s goal from a country mile away and nailed it. Appleton is about as close and has been putting up awesome shot totals while earning himself some top line minutes.
Ryan Graves – D. We picked this dude up on waivers in a different fantasy league and he got us a goal. To be very clear here, that is not something that happens often and we are not trying to predict that today. He is a physical specimen who will go out there and do everything he can to help his team win. Peripherals are the name of his game.
Pierre-Luc Dubois – U is not as awesome as our utility pick from yesterday but he has a similar game to Sebastian Aho. He is back home and building his game in the right way. Instead of having the world on his shoulders he gets to play behind Scheifele and build his game in a smarter way than having to lead a team at 22 years old.
The weekend is here! Happy Friday and we hope you have some great plans. We sure do but are not going to spoil that surprise. Check us out on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) take care of yourselves out there.
