On a rare serious note, our thoughts go out to the Vancouver Canucks organization that is apparently dealing with a two digit number of Covid cases and likely a variant. We hope their season gets to resume but that is not certain. We wish them all the speediest and full recoveries first and foremost. That said, the show must go on and we have a solid lineup for you today. The Florida Panthers, Vegas Golden Knights, and the New York Islanders will be taking up most of our roster today with some great matchups.

Here’s a thick lineup For DFS Hockey picks 4/3/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterN. MacKinnon$9,100
Center
WingC. Verhaeghe$6,000
Wing
Wing
DefenseA. Pietrangelo$6,700
Defense
GoalieI. Sorokin$7,900
Utility $3,900

Nathan MacKinnon served us crow last night when he scored two goals on seven shots while noted pylon Connor McDavid only scored one. Scrub. MacKinnon is the biggest prize today and even though they played yesterday they should be facing the Blues backup goalie.

Carter Verhaeghe. Alexander Barkov is slotting back into the lineup tonight. Even in the event that he does not play or has to leave early, Verhaeghe will be fine with Acciari or whomever takes that center spot. He has 17 tucks on the season and is tied for tenth in the league.

Alex Pietrangelo has had a couple games back after missing a decent chunk of time. He got right back into it with a very reassuring number of shots and blocks. It will not be long before he is getting back on the score sheet.

Ilya Sorokin did not have a great last game to say the least. We will not even post his numbers because that was just a blip. The young netminder will have his issues but will be facing an anaemic Flyers team and still has one of the better defensive systems in front of him. Barzal is probably not going to put up another five points but the offense can get it done.

Now what do you get if you sign up for $99 now

  • Another top pair defenseman to stack with Pietrangelo
  • A couple low cost centers with high ceilings
  • Top tier NFL, PGA, NBA, MLB, Nascar, and LoL advice

Here’s a thick lineup For DFS Hockey 4/3/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterN. MacKinnon$9,100
CenterC. Glass$2,500
WingC. Verhaeghe$6,000
WingA. Beauvillier$4,100
WingM. Marchment$2,600
DefenseA. Pietrangelo$6,700
DefenseD. Hamilton$7,200
GoalieI. Sorokin$7,900
UtilityJ. Anderson-Dolan$3,900

Cody Glass – C is a very flexible player and one of the best depth pieces the Golden Knights own. With Chandler Stephenson suspended for elbowing, Glass will be on the top line flanked by Mark Stone and Max Pacioretty.

Anthony Beauvillier – W. We would have loved to see him score more in that 8-4 win over the Capitals but he did snag an assist. After the top line did so much work it will fall to guys like him to chip in on offense to support Sorokin.

Mason Marchment – W has moved up to the top line in Florida and we are stacking him with Verhaege. The bet is definitely that Barkov is fully healthy and will be back to his normal beastmode self. But as you know by now we love bargain basement top liners no matter who they play with.

Dougie Hamilton – D. We do not always go big on defensemen but when we do we go BIG. Dougie has been on an absolute tear this season hitting double digit point streaks and an average FPPG that rivals top wingers. His shooting percentage is less than half of normal so one of these days he should start getting more in the goals category.

Jaret Anderson-Dolan – U. We do not get over to Los Angeles as often as we would like but part of it is because so much of their talent is so raw. Jaret has supplanted Vilardi on the second line and has been doing well with the added minutes. It is likely they see Devan Dubnyk in net tonight who has a less than ideal GAA from the Sharks perspective.

April is in full swing and spring is rolling in strong. We hope you get to stop and smell the roses at some point today, unless of course the allergies are getting to you.
