NHL DFS Picks For April 22, 2021

Patrice Bergeron DFS
NEWARK, NJ - JANUARY 14: Boston Bruins center Brad Marchand (63) celebrates with teammates Boston Bruins center David Krejci (46) and Boston Bruins center Patrice Bergeron (37) after he scores during the first period of the National Hockey League game between the New Jersey Devils and the Boston Bruins on January 14, 2021 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. That was a lot of goals. All of our forwards scored a goal last night except one who picked up two assists. Our defense was a little lackluster but as stated we will still be going after Darnell Nurse next time because he is due. There are a ton of games today so we are going to dive right in. If you are looking for a few games to focus on then tune in to the Boston Bruins, Tampa Bay Lightning and Dallas Stars. We will be going all over but those have the best chance for a blowout.

Here’s a balanced lineup For DFS Hockey 4/22/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterP. Bergeron$8,000
Center
WingA. Panarin$8,000
Wing
Wing
DefenseC. Makar$6,100
Defense
GoalieJ. Swayman$8,500
Utility $2,900

Patrice Bergeron looks really good with a C on his chest. No one was ever going to take it from Zdeno Chara but it was always going to Patrice afterwards. Their top line is back in full with Pastrnak coming back up. The matchup against the Sabres is too good to pass up and without knowing what is happening in Toronto right now we feel like this is the safer bet.

Artemi Panarin. We remember when the deal was signed. An eye popping $11.6M/yr deal for seven years made all the headlines. He might actually be worth more. He has 52 points in 35 games. If he did not have to take his leave of absence he would be challenging McDavid in the points race. He is that good.

Cale Makar. The Colorado Avalanche have had some time off due to Covid protocols so they should be well rested for tonight. The St Louis Blues have been having a rough go of it and having to face a rested Avalanche team does not bode well for them. Makar is at exactly one point per game right now, which for such a young defenseman is a testament to how good he is.

Jeremy Swayman is off to a hot NHL start. He has been outstanding in the few games we have seen him in and picked up his first ever shutout in his last match. He looks to continue that roll against the Sabres tonight.

Now what do you get if you sign up for $99 now

  • A utility player whose price has not nearly matched his pace
  • A cheap swing from a certain squad who need to stop the bleeding
  • A top power play defenseman on a hot team

Here’s a balanced lineup For DFS Hockey 4/22/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterP. Bergeron$8,000
CenterJ. Dickinson$3,000
WingA. Panarin$8,000
WingMantha$5,000
WingGalchenyuk$4,200
DefenseC. Makar$6,100
DefenseJ. Morrissey$4,300
GoalieJ. Swayman$8,500
UtilityS. Bennett$2,900

Jason Dickinson – C is in a way one of our higher risk picks today but he only costs $3,000. The Stars are finally giving Roope Hintz some rest and so Dickinson is taking top line duties. Our major prediction is that his big breakout comes next season but now is the time for him to show what he is made of.

Anthony Mantha – W is loving his new home. He has gotten off to a crazy hot start with the Caps and does not look like he is slowing down. He has a tough matchup against the Islanders but this is going to be a playoff level tilt.

Alex Galchenyuk – W. Everyone gave Steve Dangle crap for worrying about his team and then they lost even worse to the Canucks. Fine. We will hold off on going after the big boys until they shape up but Galch is top line with Hyman out. If they make it happen he will benefit so take the cost effective option.

Josh Morrissey – D is the top dog in Winnipeg and they have an interesting matchup against the Leafs. They have the opportunity to chip away at the division lead and should be in a good position to do so.

Sam Bennett – U. It is hard not to ride this hot hand when his price is not keeping up with his production. We are totally fine if he cools off but this line is finding a scary chemistry. Duclair’s pass to set up Bennett for a goal was sublime and his other goal was a baseball style reaction that caused our jaw to hit the floor.

Have a great Thursday, you are almost to the weekend! We are Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) if that is your thing. Get ready for some exciting games and take it easy.
