Connor McDavid DFS

In the spirit of yesterday, DraftKings now has Nathan MacKinnon as more expensive than Connor McDavid. We are not sure if they missed the joke but there is clearly some manipulation going on with certain high value names. Stay focused on the Capitals, Oilers and the Maple Leafs. We will have an Avalanche player or two but do not overvalue their destruction of the Coyotes, because that is a special type of mismatch.

Here’s a cool lineup For DFS Hockey 4/2/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterC. McDavid$9,100
CenterN. Kadri$5,300
Wing
Wing
WingY. Sharangovich$3,700
Defense
Defense
GoalieP. Grubauer$8,200
Utility $5,200

Connor McDavid. Give him all the trophies and name the next one after him. Special is not a good enough word for this guy who can drag a weak Oilers team to the playoffs and beyond. McDavid transcends the sport and even if he does not get a shot on goal we will never apologize for taking this opportunity.

Nazem Kadri is a way to invest in the Avalanche without breaking the bank. He is heating up right now just in time for the playoffs. Sure we are still a few weeks away but Kadri knows what it takes to get ready for the big games. He seems to be peaking when it matters most and is a cheaper option than MacKinnon with more upside than a lot of people will give him credit for.

Yegor Sharangovich is a guy we have had behind the paywall a few times now but feel like he deserves more of a spotlight. He is now on the top line of the Devils which is not necessarily the greatest accolade one can hold but they do play the Capitals who got obliterated by the Islanders yesterday.

Philipp Grubauer. We are back to Gruby but please be careful here. There are zero confirmed goalies at the time of writing this so double check who is in net lest the Avalanche freak us with the okey doke. If he is in, play him.

Now what do you get if you sign up for $99 now

  • Another utility pick more than worth the five grand
  • Bargain basement value defensemen
  • Straight baller wingers who will bring their teams to glory

Here’s a cool lineup For DFS Hockey 4/2/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CenterC. McDavid$9,100
CenterN. Kadri$5,300
WingM. Marner$8,100
WingT.J. Oshie$4,600
WingY. Sharangovich$3,700
DefenseS. Walker$2,600
DefenseM. Ferraro$3,200
GoalieP. Grubauer$8,200
UtilityZ. Hyman$5,200

Mitch Marner – W is a special player. It is easy to look at having Auston Matthews as his center but Marner is an animal. The way he is growing his game should be the template for any winger coming into the sport. He is a playmaker first and foremost but is adding in the goal scorers touch. He will win some NHL awards in his career and we are here for it.

T.J. Oshie – W had a brief stint as a center with Lars Eller out and we hope it does not happen again. He is certainly capable of playing the position but faceoffs are not his strong suit and he will own up to that. The baby face is already 34 years old but plays like he is 28. He is that sub-elite type of player that every team wishes they had.

Sean Walker – D is a FantasyDFSExperts prototypical high floor defenseman for little to no money. You don’t know his name? We barely do either. But he gets his shots and blocks and even got an assist in his last game.

Mario Ferraro – D will be on the other side of the ice from Walker and serves the same purpose. He costs a little more but that is because his floor is a little higher. He is making a name for himself in some hockey circles and may actually be a successor to Burns or Karlsson in a couple years. Keep an eye on him.

Zach Hyman – U. We do not have a particular rule in our writing that says we should not cuss talking about players but…Zach effing Hyman, man. Please excuse that vulgarity but this dude is a captain and coaches dream. Whatever you ask of him he will do. That is it. Hyman is bees knees when it comes to grinding out a win.

We hope you did not take us too seriously with our dart board April Fools joke yesterday, we actually just flip a coin. Did you take Trocheck? How about Forsling? It was a solid way to start a new month. Hop on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) to stay abreast of all our updates. In all seriousness, have a good one.
