A couple of funny coincidences may be happening today after the trade deadline has passed. The most likely one is that Taylor Hall will play against the Buffalo Sabres a day after being dealt away from them. He drove from Buffalo to Boston yesterday and has indicated that he is ready to go. You know we are going after that one. Up north David Rittich got sent from Calgary to Toronto and wouldn’t you know it, he may start against them tonight. We will have him in net but we will have dual advice for you depending on how risk averse you are.

Alexander Ovechkin. Russian machine never breaks. While the rest of our freebies are centered around guys who have moved to new digs we will at least hook it up with someone who is a little more of a guarantee. No one is ever a sure thing but Ovi is the man.
Taylor Hall has been all over the place. The former first pick overall is about to join his fifth club and no one has any idea how good he really is. That does not matter too much to us as there is a good chance that he ends up on a line with David Krejci and David Pastrnak. If he changes his name to David Hall he is pretty much guaranteed a hat trick.
Anthony Mantha. Steve Yzerman got a boat, a plane and a train for Mantha. The Red Wings are sad to see him go but what the Capitals offered was way too good to pass up. Mantha himself must be much happier in his new home atop the standings having just been at the bottom. It is only one game but he has the opportunity to make a lot of new fans tonight. Let’s see what he can do.
David Rittich. Big Save Dave was part of the reason the Maple Leafs had an early exit in the playoff bubble. Toronto’s front office decided to bring him on as insurance against Freddie Andersen’s injury and to make sure he was not the one sending them to the golf course. Ilya Samsonov is the same price and so if you are not sure who is starting then Samsonov is probably the way to go. If you are a little more mischievous and want to roll the dice then get after Rittich.
Now what do you get if you sign up for $99 now
- A very large and dangerous Swede
- A rookie defenseman being tossed into a top pairing
- Two young centers making names for themselves

Jack Hughes – C has put his rookie campaign behind him and is showing why he was such a high draft pick. He has a modest half point per game right now but he is the top center in New Jersey and is building fast. He came into the season with some added muscle and he is using it. Welcome to the show, kid.
Alexander Wennberg – C is in an amazing position in Florida. He is flanked by Jonathan Huberdeau and Patric Hornqvist. The Panthers have been struggling as of late and are certainly missing Aaron Ekblad’s presence but they still score goals and should do some damage in the playoffs. Wennberg’s young career is going to see a huge boost from all this opportunity he is surrounded with.
Victor Hedman – D is an imposing presence on the ice. He towers over the competition and beats them into submission. His average shots per game are ahead of most forwards and he even managed ten a little over a week ago. He is a beast.
Jack Ahcan – D will be playing in his third ever NHL game and rumor has it he is penciled in to the top power play in Boston. Their defensive corp has been ravaged this season and they are leaning on their prospects to keep them afloat. They need a win to stem the bleeding and they have the perfect horse to beat tonight.
Jamie Benn – U. The Stars are clawing their way to a playoff spot and are hoping to use their games in hand to close the gap. Benn is a tireless veteran who helped drag the team to the Cup Finals last year and provides all sorts of support for the guys around him.
