Just a heads up that we are running a little late today and so the focus will be on the late games. The gap may be widening between the Jets and Stars who are trying to make it into the playoffs. The Jets are in a must win situation and while the Stars are not in as dire a spot, these are two points they will be sore about losing. Can the Senators and Blackhawks play upset tonight?

It is sounding like Antti Raanta was supposed to start tonight but is not feeling well. That means Freddie Andersen will be back in net tonight. Anaheim may be finding their footing again but this matchup is a steep uphill battle. Andersen should be in the conversation for best goalie of the year and has all the firepower ahead of him to get the win.
Kyle Connor lost a few games to Covid and in his two games back did not get too much done. A tilt against the Senators backup Mads Sogaard may be just what the doctor ordered. Give it another year and he may actually be pushing Auston Matthews for the Rocket Richard trophy. He is as skilled as they come when scoring goals.
It really is amazing that Seth Jones has managed to keep such a high fantasy value even with the Blackhawks not keeping pace. He may not be worth his contract later in its life, but he is showing up now and proving why he is one of the most sought after blue liners in the league.

Connor Hellebuyck and the Winnipeg Jets have to be in panic mode right now. They need this win tonight and they need it big time. If they cannot pull this off, their season may be over.
If you are fading the Jets, then best to swap out Connor for Andrei Svechnikov. Do not mind his last goose egg of a game, he will be back in it in no time. The Canes are crushing it and he and Sebastian Aho will make short work of the Ducks. And if there will be one spoiler in particular for the Jets it will be the Sens captain Brady Tkachuk. Chucky is sick of losing himself and would love to knock
Winnipeg out of contention.
Miro Heiskanen has not been doing much to help the Stars fend off the Jets. We have to go for John Klingberg who has been maintaining a steady defensive presence and chips in offensively from time to time. b is in that tier with frequent shots and a couple blocks a game. He is over half a point per game and hasn’t gotten on the scoresheet in three games. He is due.
One of Joe Pavelski or Jason Robertson is worth a grab for a middle winger. Pair one of them with Paul Stastny who is way too cheap for being on the top line with Mark Scheifele, and you will have a great spread of talent. Would you like some centers to go with that? Coming right up!
Trevor Zegras continues to amaze with skill and creativity. The spin o rama goal he got is worth putting on loop for many rewatches. We can promise that next year his price out of the gate will be over $6,000. He is at a reasonable $5,500 right now and we are buying. You also know we love us some Josh Norris who is on fire right now.
What ever happened to Jonathan Toews? He needs a big game soon.
