Day two of Wildcard weekend brings us a juicy three game slate, starting it off with the defending champion Tampa Bay Bucs hosting the Philadelphia Eagles. Tom Brady will be looking to repeat, and will rely on his arm to lead them to victory. Philadelphia’s run – heavy offense may have to throw the ball in order to keep up with the Bucs, who are ranked at the top against the run. The Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has used his legs mostly this season, rushing for 784 yards and ten touchdowns.

Our second game has the highest point total this weekend of 51, as the Niners take on the Cowboys. Vegas also is holding the spread at -3 for the Cowboys, which tells us the game has shootout potential. Deebo Samuel, San Francisco’s centerpiece of the franchise, has put the team on his back and carried them into the playoffs. Not only has he been featured as running back as well as a receiver for them, he threw a touchdown pass in their comeback win against the Rams. Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has also carried his team into contention this year, passing for 4,449 yards and a team record 37 touchdown passes. Dallas will need another sample of these performances on Sunday, as the Niners have been stingy to opposing running backs, ranking tenth in the league.

Finally we finish up with the Steelers in Kansas City. Vegas is showing a mediocre total of 46 with a -12.5 spread favoring the Chiefs. Nobody is anticipating Pittsburgh to put many points up looking at this line, mainly due to the 4.5YPA ( yards per pass attempt) of Roethlisberger for the seasonSo the KC defense looks very appealing in this three game slate, and the Chiefs may not have to air it out as much against such a sluggish offense.

Studs We Like:

Quarterback:

Dak Prescott ($6,700 DK/$8,000 FD) Dallas will need to keep up the pace with the red hot Forty – Niner offense by airing it out with Dak’s arm. Zeke  and Tony Pollard have been banged up recently and are not playing at full throttle. He’s been slinging it as of late, and threw for five touchdowns in the season finale. Even though that was against Philadelphia third – string back ups, Dak at home will not disappoint in fantasy.

Fade:

Ben Roethlisberger ($5,200 DK/$6,400 FD) If you’ve seen any Steeler games this season, Ben looks like he’s throwing watermelons on the field. No zip or distance whatsoever, this may be his final game of his career.

Running Backs:

Leonard Fournette ($5,600 DK/$7,300 FD) Going into the weekend he’s still listed on IR, but the Bucs coach Bruce Arians says he’s been looking good in practice. If he is removed from the injury report Fournette will be utilized in the offense and is an auto start. Averaging seven catches in his last four games, Brady will look to hand it off and check it down to the Bucs bell cow back.

Darrel Williams ($5,200 DK/$6,600 FD) Another plug and play back for this slate, CEH is out, so Williams will take over again in the backfield. In a game which looks to be out of hand for the Steelers, Williams will grind out the clock against one of the shakiest run defenses of late, allowing five yards per carry for the year.

Fade:

Ezekiel Elliot ($6,100 DK/$7,700 FD) He’s been playing hurt all year, and the Forty – Niners have been shutting down running backs on the regular these days, only allowing 2.5 YPC against the Rams in the finale.

Wide Receivers:

Amari Cooper ($5,900 DK/$7,100 FD) To beat San Fran is through the air, and Cooper is nicely priced against a Niner defense who gives up 227 passing yards per game.

Brashaud Perriman ($4,600 DK/$6,000 FD) Will have a larger role on Sunday and operate as the No. 2 wide receiver across Mike Evans. When Cyril Grayson suffered a hamstring injury last week, Perriman caught five of six targets for 44 yards.

Cedrick Wilson ($4,300 DK/$6,000 FD) He’s been a baller filling in for Michael Gallup who landed on IR two weeks ago. In the last two games he’s caught 11 balls for 155 yards and three touchdowns.

Tight End:

Rob Gronkowski ($6,400 DK/$7,400 FD) All the injuries the Bucs have inherited, and with Antonio Brown quitting the team, Gronk has his work cut out for him as probably Brady’s go to guy. Phila also is very generous in fantasy to opposing tight ends, allowing 107 catches with 14 touchdowns on the season.

Value Plays:

Scotty Miller ($3,500 DK/$5,200 FD) He can also benefit from the Bucs’ injuries again. Last week Miller saw playing time and scored a touchdown after Cyril Grayson’s injury.

Cameron Brate ($2,800 DK/$4,600 FD) We’ll stick with the Bucs for value, because Brate will also see the field more often as the injuries piled up this year. He’s caught two touchdowns in his last three games.
