Week 6 of the NFL season is here and it features 12 games across the Sunday slate. This week is headlined by two huge matchups with big implications. First, the Kansas City Chiefs will host the Buffalo Bills in a rematch of last season’s epic Divisional Round thriller and the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles will host the 4-1 Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football in an electric battle for first place in the NFC East. Here are a few names to keep an eye on for this weekend’s slate when you are building your DFS lineups, including two players from the game with the second highest over/under total of the week.
Marquise Brown ($8,200): Brown has fit in very nicely in his new home in the desert with his former college quarterback Kyler Murray once again throwing him the ball; he has 55 targets in five games, trailing only Cooper Kupp and Justin Jefferson in that category. While Brown is the fourth most expensive option at receiver he is well worth the price with the amount of volume he will see against one of the worst defenses in the NFL, the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle has given up the seventh most receiving yards to opposing teams so far this year and is tied for seventh in most receiving touchdowns. Jerry Jeudy, Drake London and Josh Reynolds have all had big games against this Seahawks secondary and expect Brown to do the same and put up a crooked number for your lineup.
Rhamondre Stevenson ($7,500)– Fantasy football is all about opportunity, and when a guy as talented as Rhamondre Stevenson is lined up to touch the ball 20+ times against a bad Cleveland Browns defense, you have to take advantage. Cleveland has given up the second most rushing touchdowns on the year and 5.9 YPC, including 440 yards on the ground over the last two weeks. Stevenson totalled 27 touches for 175 yards last week when fellow running back Damien Harris exited the game with a hamstring injury. Harris is expected to miss Sunday’s game with that same hamstring injury so Stevenson should be in line for another huge workload once again in a great matchup.
Geno Smith ($7,400)– On the other side of this Cardinals and Seahawks game I love Geno Smith. Smith has been very productive for the Seahawks this season replacing Russell Wilson, averaging 19.98 FPPG. Smith has at least two passing touchdowns in every game but one and has thrown for 913 yards in his last three games. Smith faces a bad Cardinals defense that has been very vulnerable this year ranking in the bottom third of the league in scoring defense. Another factor that helps Smith is the Seahawks aforementioned terrible defense. The Seahawks defense has not been able to stop a nosebleed so far this season and that will leave Smith with a lot of opportunities to rack up the fantasy points by constantly throwing the ball.
