Two remain in the NFC, a rivalry in the NFC West between the Rams and Niners. Both teams are coming off of last second fieldgoal wins and defenses that have came up big to get them one step closer to the Bowl.
San Fransisco has owned the Rams, beating them six straight, can they make it seven? Maybe…nobody has had an answer for Deebo Samuel, who has punished LA this season. He’s put up close to thirty fantasy points in each game this year. Whether he lines up in the backfield to run a wheel route, or catching a screen pass over the middle, he’s been the engine for the Niner’s offense.
But the Rams will fight fire with fire, as Cooper Kupp has been match-up proof. He may not be as versatile as Deebo, but he just gets open and catches everything, including a game winning 50 yard catch to set up a Matt Gay field goal to defeat the defending champ Bucs. Kupp has also been feasting on the Niners’ D this season, who mostly play zone. In the two games combined against Frisco, he’s been a beast and caught 18 for 240 yards and a touchdown.

Captain/MVP:
Tyler Higbee ($7,800 DK/$8,500) The Rams tight end has three total touchdowns in both meetings this season with San Fran. He also provides a nice salary and allows you to have Kupp and Deebo.
Brandon Aiyuk ($9,300 DK/$9,500 FD) He also gives you some relief on DK at Captain, and caught for almost 100 yards on six grabs in the last LA game. The Niners may have to look elsewhere to throw the ball if LA can contain Deebo.
Fade:
Jimmy Garoppolo ($13,500 DK/$12,500 FD) He just has become the Niners game manager, which has worked well for them on winning. But from a fantasy perspective he’s not worth the risk, as he can barely break double digit FPTS.
Studs We Like:
Matt Stafford ($10,800 DK/$16,500 FD) LA will need to throw to put up points, as the Niners refuse anyone to run the ball on them. Stafford put up twenty plus fantasy points in both meetings this season, and will do it again.
Odell Beckham Jr. ($8,600 DK/$10,500 FD) Kupp may be limited and bracketed this time around, so OBJ may see some extra volume in the Championship. He’s been trending upward and has caught six touchdowns since joining the Rams in Week 12.
Van Jefferson ($5,000 DK/$7,500 FD) Is the Rams deep shot play maker, If he can shake his injury designation, He may get open for a bomb into the end zone, especially if all eyes will be on Kupp.
Fade:
Sony Michel ($4,800 DK/$8,000 FD) Cam Akers has taken back his role as LA’s three down back, which leaves Michel in the backseat again. Even though Akers fumbled twice last week, his youth and juice will still keep him on the field more often than Sony.
Value:
Jauan Jennings ($2,200 DK/$7,000 FD) Jimmy G like to throw to the sidelines, where the last meeting in LA he caught two touchdowns. He’s a big sleeper and great for GPP tournaments.
Kendall Blanton ($1,000 DK/$6,000 FD) The Rams’ back up tight end is carving a role out for himself lately, catching a few from Stafford in the last four games, one for a touchdown against the Bucs. He’s dirt cheap on DK and we’ll worth spending down for in this match up.
General Strategy:
This game will go down to the wire. Both teams are stacked on defense and can become a low scoring game, so on DK picking up one or both defenses would make your lineup truly unique and a slate breaker if it does turn out that way. But Deebo and Kupp will eat for sure and will be key pieces as well. We all saw how that Green Bay/Niner game turned out, yes the weather was snowy but there was not much wind, and Rodgers was held to 0 touchdown passes at home don’t forget. There’s a lot of hype about LA but don’t sleep on San Fran, where Sofy Stadium is a second home to San Fran. Don’t be coy about drafting some of them in your lineups, even kickers we like too in these low scoring defensive match ups.
