As we are wrapping up week eight, the Giants are in Kansas City tonight looking to beat up on the Chiefs while they are down, who were embarrassed by Tennessee and scoring only three points. But do not count out the 2019 Super Bowl champs out yet, expect them to get back in rhythm tonight against a cushy New York defense.
Patrick Mahomes threw for only 206 yards with an interception and a fumble against the Titans in week seven, but in every other week so far this year he’s averaged over 25 FPTS. Throwing 18 touchdown passes to an un characteristic nine interceptions for the season. His preferred weapon of choice is still Tyreek Hill, who has erupted in games for over 40 FPTS. twice this year, and has seen 72 targets in seven games.

Tell me about it, KC players in DFS are way up there in price, so we will absolutely need some value, and New York is where it’s at. Daniel Jones may be playing for the 2-5 Giants, but he is no slouch this season. He’s been burning teams with his legs and racking up 229 rush yards for the year, with two touchdowns. KC’s defense has been beatable as we have witnessed during the year, so Jones should be able to produce, as the Chiefs allow the most fantasy points to quarterbacks.
New York has already ruled out receiver Kenny Golladay with almost the entire receiving core questionable to play tonight. The one receiver we want out there (If he is cleared to play) is Kadarius Toney. The man is a target funnel, before re injuring his ankle last week he was on pace to catching 30 balls, as he caught three for 36 yards in the opening three minutes of the game.

Here’s What You Get If You Sign Up For $99 For Six Months
- Who we like in the Captain/MVP slot
- Who to Fade
- Other studs we like
- Value to roster at Flex
- General Strategy
- All access for all sports for up to six months for $99
Captain/MVP:
Darrell Williams ($13,500 DK/$11,500 FD) The Chiefs are still without Clyde Edwards-Helaire,and Williams has filled the role in nicely scoring two touchdowns for 24 FPTS. in one of his two games as a starter. The Giants get gashed by opposing running backs, and rank twenty-ninth in the league. His salary as Captain in DraftKings is also a huge discount compared to the big three in KC, which would allow to roster more studs.
Who to Fade:
KC Defense/NYG Defense (DK Only) The game has an over/under of 52.5 , and they both really can not be trusted to keep each other at bay or make as many big plays. Let’s just focus on the players tonight.
Other Studs We Like:
Travis Kelce ($10,600 DK/$13,500 FD) Is impossible to fade on any given night. The All Pro tight end has seen double digit targets in four of his last five contests, and is bound to go off sooner or later, maybe tonight.
Devin Booker ($8,200 DK/$12,000 FD) The Giants running back has been filling in for some big shoes. Saquon Barkley has only technically played two games this season where he was the feature back. Booker has carried the Giants in the backfield for most of the year, and is in another great matchup tonight, as the Chiefs give up 128 yards per game on the ground.
Sterling Shepard ($7,000 DK/$11,000 FD) Before Toney had his breakout game with the Giants, Shepard was a PPR machine for New York. In his first two weeks prior to his hamstring pull, Shepard recorded 16 catches for 207 yards and a touchdown. If he’s a go, he is a bargain and will get most of the looks from Jones, especially if Toney can’t suit up.
Value Plays:
Evan Engram ($5,400 DK/$7,000 FD) He is more of a discount on FanDuel this week, the Chiefs continue to be weak at defending tight ends this year. Engram had his best game this season last week catching six passes for 44 yards. Nothing spectacular, but considering the matchup and injuries in the Giants receiving core, we can plug him in.
Dante Pettis ($5,000 DK/$8,000 FD) Came up huge for a depleted Giants offense in the win against Carolina. With a line of 5-39-1, he also threw a dime to Daniel Jones on a trick play. Grab Pettisespecially if a few more receivers do not play tonight for New York.
Byron Pringle ($2,200 DK/$7,000 FD) While the Chiefs have been struggling this season, Mahomes has been spreading the ball around a lot more. Pringle has benefitted tremendously, last week in the loss he caught five of six targets for 73 yards. He is in a smash spot for 10x if he has a repeat performance.
John Ross III ($1,200 DK/$6,500 FD) Saw only two catches for 27 yards last week against the Panthers, but at his price could be viable tonight. Keep an eye on injuries up until game time, if Shepard and Toney sit out, Ross III is a great cheap play in your flex.
Demarcus Robinson ($800 DK/$6,000 FD) is on the field for 76 percent of the offense. He’s been a blocker for most of the season but did catch a touchdown along with five passes for 13FPTS. And is WAY too cheap on DraftKings. The most valued player tonight is Robinson.
General Strategy:
The Chiefs have struggled recently, mostly on the defensive side of the ball and Mahomes turning the ball over frequently hasn’t helped them win either. But they are in a get right situation tonight against an under-manned beatable New York Giants defense at Arrowhead Stadium. Roster mostly Chiefs tonight, especially Williams, who should be getting the goal line carries. We like Mahomes to make a statement tonight in prime time to show the world he still has the goods, so place him in your lineups as well. Daniel Jones will get his too though, because of his legs, he has potential to run one in the end zone and have 50 plus yards on the ground. As for Tyreek and Kelce, it can go either way as both have a very high ceiling, but it can be difficult to find which will benefit each game. Hill has been bothered by a quadriceps injury which has slowed him down, so perhaps given that info we go with the healthier of the two, Kelce.
Now go and win with your lineup and let us know how you did.
