Update: 2:00 PM PST – Rashod Bateman of the Baltimore Ravens will not make his debut tonight
As we approach the end of week five we have Carson Wentz and the Colts in Baltimore to face Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. The Colts have been burdened by injury on both sides of the ball, including Wentz who has been playing through soreness to both of his ankles. Baltimore has also been hit with a number of injuries from the beginning of the season, but Jackson has been able to step up his game. He’s no longer that one-dimensional running quarterback, completing over 60 percent of his passes.
Colts running back Jonathon Taylor has been the one glimmer in their offense this season. The second year back from Wisconsin has been averaging over six yards per carry in the last two games. He also finally got into the end zone and rushed for over 100 yards against Miami last week.

Baltimore wideout Marquise Brown has been on fire this season and a deep threat for the Ravens. Averaging close to 20 yards per catch with 3 touchdowns already, Brown should be considered part of your lineup, especially with the Colts secondary dealing with a number of injuries to its starters. Mark Andrews has also begun to show stride with Jackson, catching 15 balls for 176 yards in the previous two contests.

Here’s What You Get If You Sign Up For $199 Per Year
- Who we like in the Captain/MVP slot
- Who to Fade
- Other studs we like
- Value to roster at Flex
- General Strategy
Captain/MVP:
Mark Andrews ($9,800 DK/$12,000 FD) has a great price for this spot. Gives a huge amount of flexibility and allows you to draft a couple more high priced studs. He also has tremendous upside to put up a decent amount of fantasy points, being one of Jackson’s favorite targets.
Who to Fade:
Carson Wentz ($10,200 DK/$14,000 FD) The Colts quarterback is way too overpriced and risky to put in your lineup. His offensive line has been shaken up due to injuries, and he is still not 100 percent himself. On the road in Baltimore too, just not an appealing situation tonight for Wentz.
Other Studs We Like:
Nyheim Hines ($5,600 DK/$8,000 FD) Is the hurry up running back for the Colts and will be most likely playing from behind tonight, so Hines may be in line to catch a few passes out fo the backfield for some needed first downs.
Latavius Murray ($7,400 DK/$10,000 FD) is now the Ravens lead back, on a team that’s game plan is to run the ball. Murray has seen 18-20 touches in the backfield and is most likely going to be in the rotation for goal line snaps.
Value at Flex:
Marlon Mack ($600 DK/$6,500) may see some garbage time if the game gets out of hand, and the Colts will want to preserve their bell cow Taylor. His salary is way too low to sneeze at.
Rashod Bateman ($200 DK/$6,500 FD) The Ravens rookie may make his debut tonight at wide receiver from IR. If the game does indeed get out of line, look for Bateman to get a few balls thrown in his direction.
General Strategy:
Stay away from rostering too many Colts players, especially the higher priced ones. The Ravens defense is almost back at 100 percent, and will be tough to beat at home. Stacking Marquise Brown or Mark Andrews with Lamar Jackson is a safe play but will cost a good chunk of your salary, but as stated above there are some extremely low end guys that may produce because of their salaries.
Now go and win with your lineup and let us know how you did.
