NFL DFS Main Slate Value Advice – Week 17

Trey Lance
SANTA CLARA, CA - DECEMBER 19: San Francisco 49ers Quarterback Trey Lance (5) walks off the field after the NFL football game between the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers on December 19, 2021 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA. (Photo by Bob Kupbens/Icon Sportswire)

Welcome back to NFL DFS in Week 17, how was the holiday? It was hopefully good in your bankroll if you used our value play. Byron Pringle ($3,300 DK/$5,400 FD) exploded for 25 FPTS for the Chiefs, who were hammered by COVID. This is what we do, stay informed for you and take advantage of opportunities when they come our way and save up on salary for our studs. Here is our free value for Week 17…

Trey Lance ($4,800 DK/$6,400 FD) Forty-Niners Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo injured his throwing hand and has not been able to practice so far this week. If he can’t suit up, Lance will make your lineup dance. San Fran is home against Houston, who can’t stop the run. Lance will not only have a stacked offense to throw to, but also have the ability to run all over the Texans.

More Value at Quarterback:

Tyler Huntley ($5,600 DK/$7,500 FD) Lamar Jackson was seen still limping on the practice field on Wednesday, and missed practice Thursday. Huntley balled out in his first start throwing two touchdowns and running in two himself against a tough Green Bay Defense. The kid is hungry and loaded with talent, if Jackson does sit out again, Huntley at home will put up QB One numbers.

Value at Running Back:

Boston Scott ($4,900 DK/$6,00 FD) Miles Sanders has already been ruled out, and fellow starter Jordan Howard is still a little banged up. Scott should see plenty of touches in a positive game script against the Football Team in a must win situation to stay in the playoff race.

Mid Range Running Back:

Ronald Jones ($6,300 DK/$7,000 FD) Still a bargain facing the worst run defense in the league. The Bucs should be able to control the ball and move it easily up and down the field feeding Jonesto eat up the clock.

Value at Wide Receiver:

Zay Jones ($3,900 DK/$5,100 FD) Has seen 17 targets in two games and racked up double digit fantasy points in both. The Raiders receiving core have been missing stud tight end Darren Waller since Thanksgiving, and Jones has been one of the beneficiaries besides breakout slot man Hunter Renfrow

Braxton Berrios ($3,700 DK/$5,300 FD)The Jets have pretty much their practice squad on the field catching balls when they’re thrown to them by Zach Wilson. But Berrios has been the main guy for New York the passed two weeks. The speedy gadget specialist even ran back a kickoff return for 103 yards. In a game script where the Jets will need to throw, He’s too cheap still to pass up on for value.

Mid Range Wide Receiver:

Amon – Ra St. Brown ($6,000 DK/$6,900 FD) His salary has spiked over twice what is once was because of the huge games he’s produced. Grabbing almost double digit targets over the passed two games he’s averaged 24 FPTS. Brown lines up in the slot primarily, and Seattle has struggled all year defending receivers in that spot all year long.

Value at Tight End:

Mo Alie – Cox ($2,800 DK/$4,600 FD) Keep an eye out on Colts’ tight end Jack Doyle, who exited during the Arizona game with multiple injuries and hasn’t practiced all week. If he can’t give it a go this Sunday, Alie-Cox will get all the snaps and catch all of the attempts thrown in his direction. Even if Wentz doesn’t clear COVID Protocols, the rookie Ehlinger should look to sink and dunk.
