Did you take our value advice for tight end last week? Behind our paywall was Austin Hooper ($3,400 DK/$5,000 FD), who got you to pay dirt if you did use him. He got in the end zone for 14 FPTS, which gave you 4X on his salary.
With Covid back in full effect, games are being postponed with players all over the league being forced to sit out. Our 11 game slate got knocked down to nine by the league. As we are near the playoffs, injuries are also piling up, so knowing who is backing up who is key to finding value. But we want value that’s not too watered down, for instance, Miami was down to their sixth string running back at practice this week, we may not want to go there. Guys that fall that low on the totem pole are there for a reason. Here we trim the fat and get the meat off the bone for you, check out our free value play of the week…
DeVante Parker ($4,300 DK/$5,800 FD) is Miami’s top receiver this week, rookie phenom Jaylen Waddle is in protocols. At home, coming off a bye, hosting the Jets at his price… sign me up.

Value at Quarterback:
Jimmy Garoppolo ($5,800 DK/$6,700 FD) The Atlanta Falcons are in town, who allow the most FPTS to opposing quarterbacks, and just about every other position in football. He’s not the one of the most popular quarterbacks, but he is very efficient. Atlanta has no pass rush, so Garoppolo will have no pressure on him to pick apart this marshmallow type defense.
Ben Roethlisberger ($5,600 DK/$6,600 FD) He’s had some rough games this season, but over the last three he’s averaged nine yards per pass attempt, and 20 FPTS over the last two. Tennessee’s defense has been horrific against the pass lately, and Pittsburgh’s receivers have Been able to exploitweakness in opposing secondaries. Big Ben is way too cheap in this match up.
Value at Running Back:
Craig Reynolds ($4,300 DK/$5,300 FD) Detroit’s backfield has been hit hard by injury and COVID, but Reynolds has stepped up in his chance for a role in the NFL. He ran for 83 yards on just 11 carries last week. He will have more of an opportunity this week against Arizona as Swift and Williams will remain sidelined.
Value at Wide Receiver:
LaQuan Treadwell ($3,300 DK/$5,100 FD) on the lowly Jaguars Tradwell has put up double digit fantasy points in the last two games, catching four balls for 65 yards. He should see the same if not more volume against Houston on Sunday, who also have struggled this season playing defense.
Value at Tight End:
Albert Okwuegbunam ($3,300 DK/$5,200 FD) Don’t ask how to pronunce his last name, but if you are looking to pay down for tight end this week, look no further than him. Even though Noah Fant is in a timeshare with him, Albert has been still seeing a fair amount of targets and catches. He also got in the end zone last week and by the way,Cincinnati, who he faces on Sunday, was pummled by San Fransisco’s stud tight end George Kittle last week. Albert O is a go for value.
