Choosing the right defense is crucial, we don’t want to get points deducted from our scores because a team allowed 35 points and so on. But we do not want to pay up if we do not have to. We need every dollar we can spare for cap space these days, as players begin to flourish towards the playoffs, so do their salaries.
Miami Dolphins ($3,700 DK/$4,800 FD) A week after they stomped the Ravens and Lamar Jackson, the fish are up in Jersey to face a Jets team that are starting the veteran Joe Flacco. The 36 year old third-string quarterback will take over for Mike White and a still not 100 percent Zach Wilson, and will face the same blitz heavy Dolphin D that sacked the lightning fast Lamar Jackson four times.

Pay Up:
San Fransisco Forty-Niners ($3,700 DK/$4,900 FD) Put up 16 FPTS. on the high octane Ram offense and stunned the league, picking off Matt Stafford twice, and one ran back into the end zone. They will be in Jacksonville at full strength again, where the Jags scored single digits in two of the last three contests.
Cleveland Browns ($3,100 DK/$5,000 FD) Are in a get right spot going into Detroit Sunday. Although Baker Mayfield and his receiving core are pretty banged up, they should easily be able to run the rock and play solid defense against the worst team in the league, who are on the verge of possibly benching Jared Goff for back-up David Blough.
Pay Down:
Philadelphia Eagles ($2,900 DK/$3,900 FD) Stepped up last week in Denver and held them to only 13 points, as well as Darius Slay recovering a fumble for six.
New Orleans is in the city of brotherly love on Sunday, without possibly Alvin Kamara, which would force back up Trevor Siemian to air it out more against a healthy Eagles secondary. We also like betting against dome teams on the road in the cold and being out of their comfort zone in the elements should be on the chillier side this weekend in Phila.
Carolina Panthers ($2,700 DK/$4,100 FD) Shut down Arizona at home in the desert only allowing ten points, with several sacks and turnovers racking up 12 FPTS. They’re back home to host Washington, where they’ve held opponents under 20 points for three games straight. Carolina’s D has kept them in the playoff hunt and has been consistently keeping opposing teams from scoring at will and rank first against quarterbacks.
Super Cheap Punt Play Defense:
Minnesota Vikings ($2,300 DK/$3,400 FD) Are hosting Green Bay, but keep a close eye on the Packers injury reports. Aaron Jones has already been sidelined, and as of Thursday Aaron Rodgers and Davonte Adams popped up with toe and shoulder injuries. We may get the Jordan Love, MVS experience again, and we all saw it wasn’t pretty in K. C. two weeks ago. We just need Rodgers to sit for this play to work for us.
