NFL DFS Divisional Round – Two Game Slate (Sunday) Advice

So we have two more games on Sunday, as this weekend looks to go down as the best of the season, the best of the best in the NFL will battle it out. The day kicks off with the Rams in Tampa to face the defending champion Buccaneers. Brady and the Bucs may be without two key starting offensive lineman on top of the rest of his weapons who have already been erased from injuries. But he still has Mike Evans, who should still see a ton of balls thrown at him, last week he dominated all receivers nine catches for 117 yards and a touchdown in the Philadelphia blowout.

Matt Stafford on the other side will have his weapons at his disposal against a weak Tampa secondary. He is a salary saver in DFS this week as well, and may be more enticing to roster instead of a more expensive Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes. He balled out against Arizona in his first career playoff win, throwing for 202 yards and two touchdowns, and running one in himself for a whopping 24 fantasy points.

Our second game is the main event this weekend, Bills at Chiefs. These two put up a total of 58 points back in week five, and shows signs of even more points in their second meeting. The Bills have finally established a running game, Devin Singletary has scored seven total touchdowns in the last five games, making them appear to be unstoppable.

But don’t count the 2020 champs out just yet. The Chiefs have won nine of their last ten games, Mahomes and company will not go down without a fight and will try to keep Josh Allen and the Bills check. Will see if he can duplicate his performance from last week against Pittsburgh, an astounding 404 yards and five touchdowns.

Studs We Like:

Quarterbacks:

Josh Allen ($7,600 DK/$8,800 FD) Clearly is the best quarterback to roster this weekend. He led Buffalo on seven straight touchdown drives against a tough New England defense last week. He has a softer matchup too,The Kansas City Chiefs have allowed the third most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season.

Fade:

Tom Brady ($6,800 DK/$7,800 FD) We hate to fade the GOAT, but with all of the Tampa Bay injuries that keep piling up, especially to his offensive line, he’s very risky this weekend. L.A.’s pass rush has been one of the fiercest in the league led by Aaron Donald.

Running Backs:

Cam Akers ($5,500 DK/$5,700 FD) In only his second game back from a torn ACL, Akers touched the ball 17 times out of the backfield and added a reception for 40 yards. If the Rams build up a lead, he’ll be fed the rock to eat up the clock.

Fade:

Clyde Edwards-Helaire ($5,200 DK/$5,700 FD) He hasn’t played in a month and will be seeing a top ten defensive line to run against. Third string Jerrick McKinnon also has been a beast filling in for the banged up KC backfield, so we have no clue how much work CEH will see.

Wide Receivers:

Cooper Kupp ($8,600 DK/$9,500 FD) If the Rams are going to dethrone Brady this weekend, they need Kupp to come up big. He is quarterback Matt Stafford’s go to guy, reaching over 100 receiving yards in five of his last seven games.

Gabe Davis ($4,600 DK/$5,300 FD) Has become a red zone target for Josh Allen in five of his last eight games catching 5 td’s. He’s also trending in the right direction, out snapping Cole Beasley and Emmanuel Sanders recently by thirty percent.

Byron Pringle ($4,200 DK/$5,700 FD) He’s also trending up. Quarterback Pat Mahomes has gained confidence in him, taking over the third wideout slot from Mecole Hardman. As Buffalo will focus primarily on Hill and KelcePringle can get open.

Tight Ends:

Travis Kelce ($6,500 DK/$8,200 FD) The Chiefs’ big man has caught fire of late, catching five for 108 and a touchdown, and even threw for one at the goal line. Tyreek Hill may get bracketed coverage too, where as the Chiefs may turn to Kelce to keep the ball moving.

Dawson Knox ($4,900 DK/$6,500 FD) All he does for Buffalo is catch touchdowns. He’s got 11 for the season. And the Chiefs have struggled defending the position in the past.

Value:

Scotty Miller ($3,300 DK/$4,900 FD) The Bucs are down to a skeleton crew, and Miller has worked his way up the depth chart. Brady will throw it 40 plus times, and a few will have Miller’s name on it.

Cameron Brate ($2,700 DK/$4,500 FD) Brady and the Bucs are running low on guys for him to throw it to, that he trusts. Brate has been in Brady’s good graces, especially while Gronkowski was out. But now that the field has thinned out, Brate is one of the few left standing in Tampa qho can catch.

Defense: Tampa Bay ($3,100 DK/$4,500 FD) The Rams will also be without offensive linemen, as Andrew Whitworth will be sidelined due to injury. Added pressure on Stafford can lead to more sacks and interceptions come gametime.

L.A. Rams ($3,000 DK/$4,300 FD) We mentioned earlier in the article about Tampa’s O line becoming swiss cheese with two of its starters possibly out on Sunday. Even if they do play, Whirfs and Jensen will not be 100 percent, and it could get ugly with Aaron Donald chasing Brady for 60 minutes.
