The last showdown between the Brooklyn Nets and the Milwaukee Bucks was fantastic, as we saw a historical performance from Kevin Durant. We are expecting another great match for game six tonight, and we are bringing another showdown core. The Brooklyn Nets are still dealing with injuries here, as we know that Kyrie Irving is going to be out for this one. However, a lot of the value on Brookyln has been priced up for DFS. We are still looking at some priorities from the Nets, as they are going to lack scoring options without Irving. However, we are going to have to look to the Bucks for some value tonight, as the Nets are not cheap enough to pay up for our stars with.

Here’s a showdown core For DFS Basketball 6/17/21 (using DraftKings Values)

CaptainK. Durant $18,600
Utility
UtilityP. Connaughton $2,800
Utility
UtilityG. Antetokounmpo $12,000
Utility

Last slate we spoke about how much we love Kevin Durant with Irving out and James Harden still dealing with injuries. He went on to put out the best DFS performance we have seen in years. If you took our advice and captained Durant last time out, you were rewarded with over 150 FPTS from him alone. We are going straight back to Durant for tonight. We know Irving is out, and it is likely Harden will still not be 100 percent. Durant literally played the entire game last game, and we expect him to all out again tonight to try and get Brooklyn through the series. Obviously, we are not expecting Durant to go for over 100 FPTS again, but he should still see a big enough opportunity to be the best play on the slate. Durant is an expensive captain at $18,600, but that really does not matter if he shows his upside again.

We really do not have a ton of value for this one, so we are going to like anyone sub $3,000 who is playing significant minutes. Pat Connaughton is a priority for us tonight as he is the only guy under $3,000 who has been giving solid production. Connaughton was fantastic in the last game, as he scored 21.5 FPTS in 32 minutes. We expect to see Connaughton playing some solid run again tonight, and he does not need to do much at his $2,800 price tags. We are going to have to

Just like last slate, we really like playing both Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo together tonight. Last game you absolutely needed both of these guys, and we expect that to be the case again for tonight’s game six. Antetokounmpo went for over 60 FPTS last game, and we expect him to score much more then anyone else other then Durant. A loss for the Bucks tonight would mean going home again in the second round. It would not be surprising to see Antetokounmpo play the entire game to prevent that from happening.

Khris Middleton – ($9,400 DK)We like getting to all the studs in tonight’s game, as anyone has the potential to smash on a one game slate. Middleton is cheap here, and we know he has great upside. Middleton has played over 40 minutes in each of the past three games, and we expect him to play closer to 45 minutes tonight. Middleton will see a lot of usage here, and you will need him on this slate if he has that great shooting night.

Jrue Holiday – ($8,600 DK) We are not able to roster all these stars tonight, but they are all strong plays. Holiday is a lot cheaper than other studs on this slate and we can easily roster him next to our two superstars. We expect him to play around 40 minutes tonight, and it really feels like he has a big game in store. We have seen Holiday taking a lot of usage lately, he just is not shooting well this series. If he can put together a better shooting night for this big game six, he will be looking good at this price.

Jeff Green – ($4,800 DK) Green was one of our core plays last time out and he was fantastic with over 38 FPTS. Green has been priced up $800 after the big night, but we still really like him for value. We do not have a lot of strong value plays here, and we do expect Green to see a lot of floor time again. We want to play three studs tonight, so we must go to multiple cheaper guys for value.

P.J. Tucker
 – ($2,400 DK) Tucker is one of our favorite options for value tonight, as he is giving us a lot of minutes for cheap here. We do not have a lot of strong value options on this slate, but we need to find salary savings. So we are happy getting to a lot of a guy like Tucker who we know will play around 30 minutes with upside for more. Tucker played 33 minutes last game and did not hit a single field goal. We expect him to play a similar minutes load tonight, but it is likely that he is much more productive.

General strategy

One guy that we want to talk about is James Harden. We did not go over Harden as he is not a priority for us on this one at his current price. We saw that he was clearly still bothered by injuries last game and barely shot the ball. With that said, Harden did play 45 minutes in the last game, and we expect him to play well over 40 minutes again tonight. He is a solid pivot for big tournaments, and he is a guy you want some exposure to if you are playing a lot of lineups.

This slate makes a lot of sense for cash games, as you can captain Durant and take two bucks stars. For tournaments, we still really like getting a lot of Durant captain but it makes sense to get more creative. We are looking for stars and scrubs lineups tonight, as you will likely need both superstars to cash in any contest.
