We have another value packed contest to talk about for tonight. A few teams are absolutely gutted going into this one, so we have some great targets to go after. The Sacramento Kings are one we team we must mention today, as we expect them to continue with the same injuries that have been rocking them for a few slates. Next to the Kings, we are looking to the Houston Rockets for value. Comically, the Rockets only have four guys left off the injury report as of now. Keeping track of the news is paramount for this slate, as it is not unlikely the entire Rockets-Bucks game is postponed. As Houston needs eight active players or they forfeit the game. We are going with an aggressive stars and scrubs build here, as we need to find a way to use all our value.

Here’s a stars and scrubs lineup For DFS Basketball 5/7/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Point Guard
Shooting GuardD. Jeffries $3,300
Small ForwardL. Doncic $10,900
Power ForwardA. Lamb $3,400
CenterM. Bamba $6,100
Guard
Forward $4.700
Utility

As of now, the entire slate is revolving around the Houston Rockets. If this game ends up happening, we will need multiple Rockets guys here. We are getting our best cheap value plays from Houston, and we have a few studs to get to if they are good to go. One of the few guys who is not on the injury report tonight is Daquan Jeffriesand we expect him to be a massive priority for us tonight. The Rockets have even more injuries tonight then last game, and Jeffries had to play 41 minutes last time around. Jeffries is still only $3,300 tonight, and we expect him to play another ridiculous minute’s load. It is not crazy to expect Jeffries to play 40 minutes again here, as the Rockets will likely have just eight players if they are to play. At this price, Jeffries is a fantastic play if it looks like he will see a similar opportunity to last game. Jeffries has great upside, as someone is going to explode from Houston tonight.

Luka Doncic is a play we really like for tonight, as we have a ton of cheap plays we really want to play. With all the cheap Rockets we are plugging into our lineup, we have a ton of salary laying around. Playing multiple superstars is a great way to get the upside we need out of our salary, and we can fit a few top end guys without sacrificing anything today. Doncic always has great upside, and it will look even better if Kristaps Porzingis remains out. Regardless, Doncic is on the short list for top DFS producers in the league, and we have no reason to get away from his upside here as we can easily afford the $10,900 to roster him.

The Rockets are full of smash plays if they end up taking the floor tonight. Anthony Lamb is another no brainer for us at only $3,400. Lamb played 35 minutes last game, and its unlikely he plays much less if this game does not get postponed. Lamb went for 34.25 FPTS last game, which is crazy good value at this price. That kind of performance is not out of reach here, as there are no traditionally high usage guys left on the Rockets. Anyone who is healthy should be in for a massive boost here, and it is quite easy to find fantastic value on the Rockets. If this Houston team ends up playing tonight, we probably are not taking a value play from anywhere else.

The Orlando Magic are going to have a lot of injuries again tonight, and we are all over Mo Bambain this opportunity. The Magic are missing some frontcourt guys tonight, and Bamba should see a lot of minutes at center. In his last game, Bamba played 31 minutes and scored 53.75 FPTS last time out. Bamba has a ton of upside in the way he plays, ass he gets a ton of boards and defensive stats. Bamba has been priced up to $6,100. But he is averaging over 36 FPTS across the past ten days and he has showed some massive nights. Bamba still has great upside at this price, and we need that to take on tournaments on a slate like this.

Now what do you get if you sign up now?
• Our favorite top end pay up play
• More value from Houston and Sacramento.
•  Get 7-days for free and all-access for all sports for $99 per year after

Delon Wright – PG ($6,800 DK) Wright has been our absolute lock the past two slates, as he is in for a massive opportunity with De’Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton out of the lineup. Wright has seen massive run the past two games, hitting the 55 FPTS mark in both contests. Wright has seen a significant price boost for tonight, which gives him a bit of risk as he is now priced for solid games. With that said, Wright is still one of our favorite plays on the slate, as he is still too cheap for the role he is playing. It is not surprising that Wright has hit over 50 FPTS in his last two games, as he is doing everything for the Kings offense. Wright still has the best upside on the slate for his price, he is a guy you want some exposure to tonight.

Armoni Brooks – G ($3,900 DKKevin Porter Jr is joining the sidelined Rockets for tonight. This is what has partially led to tonight’s situation with all the value on Houston. Brooks is pretty much the only guard available for the Rockets tonight, we expect him to play massive minutes and crush value at this price. Brooks played 31 minutes last time out, and we expect him to play significantly more without Porter.  Brooks went for over 28 FPTS last game, but his upside is so much more. It is hard to imagine him possibly being bad at this price, but his upside is phenomenal.

KJ Martin Jr. – F ($4,700 DK) Martin is one of many priorities for us on the Houston Rockets. The Rockets are missing a ton of forwards tonight, and they could be without there frontcourt studs. Regardless, whatever combination of healthy Rockets is available tonight should allow for some huge run from Martin. Martin played 44 minutes last game and went off for 50 FPTS. Martin has had some great games when Houston had enough injuries in the past, and they will be gutted tonight. Martin is way too cheap for a guy we expect to play 40 minutes, and he also looks like a smash value play. It is worth noting that as these Rockets are so cheap, we have no problem playing four or even five Houston guys in our lineups. For cash games, no amount of Houston Rockets is too many.

Nikola Jokic – Util ($10,800 DK) Jokic is a priority for us tonight, as we have a ton of salary to pay for stars with. Jokic leading the league in FPTS per game, averaging 58. He consistently has huge games well over 60 FPTS, which is the type of upside we are looking to pay for. With all the value locks from Houston tonight, we will have to decide which stars we want to pay up for to complete the lineup. Doncic and Jokic are our two top guys on the slate, as they can both easily go for over 60 FPTS. We are not sacrificing anything buy taking two superstars, so it is the approach we like to take here.

Here’s a stars and scrubs lineup For DFS Basketball 5/7/21 (using FanDuel Values)

Point GuardL. Doncic $10,900
Point GuardD. Wright $7,000
Shooting GuardA. Brooks $3,800
Shooting GuardD. DiVincenzo $5,100
Small ForwardD. Jeffries $4,100
Small ForwardA. Lamb $3,500
Power ForwardK. Martin  $5,600
Power ForwardC. Wood $8,700
CenterN. Jokic $11,200

Donte DiVincenzo – SG (5,100 FD) DiVincenzo was the last guy in for us and is far from a lock here, as we do not know if the Bucks are going to rest some guys as well. He scored around 30 FPTS in each of his last two games, which is some tremendous value at this price. We think the Bucks could rest some guys which could make DiVincenzo an even better play here.

Christian Wood – PF (8,700 FD) We have no idea if Wood is going to play or not as of now, but his status will define what we do with the rest of the slate. If wood is in, he looks exceptionally good here and slightly diminishes some of the Houston value guys. However, if he is out, we have a ton of value from Houston and guys like Martin and Kelly Olynyk become locks if they are in.

Have fun with this one, watch for the Houston news, as the whole slate is waiting on that right now.
