We have another interesting NBA slate as a lot of guys are gearing up in new uniforms for the first time. We have nine games tonight and there is going to be a lot of value on a few teams. Our strategy for tonight involves rostering a balanced lineup, as there are a few great plays in the midrange. Our favorite teams for the night are going to be the Boston Celtics and the New Orleans Pelicans as of now, as they are both missing key players. There are less obvious smash plays tonight then you would expect for a slate of this size, but we have found some great value to target.
Here’s a balanced lineup For DFS Basketball 3/27/21 (using DraftKings Values)
Point Guard | E. Bledsoe | $4,400
Shooting Guard | B. McLemore | $3,200
Small Forward | J. Grant | $7,600
Power Forward | $8,400 | ||
Center | $9,700 | ||
Guard | $5,300 | ||
Forward | $4,700 | ||
Utility | R. Williams | $6,600 |
Lonzo Ball is doubtful tonight after missing the past three games. Eric Bledsoe has seen a massive boost in floor time without Ball, as he has played at least 31 minutes in each of the last three games. Bledsoe exploded for 39 FPTS last game and is still too cheap at only $4,400. We have seen Bledsoe as a high usage player and significant DFS producer for his entire career. At this price we love going to him tonight as he should be in for solid run again without Ball.
The Houston Rockets have too many injuries to count tonight, but we know they will be missing four or five wings tonight. Ben McLemore is only $3,200 and looks like a great value option at that price. McLemore should be in for massive minutes tonight as Houston only has a few healthy wings left. McLemore saw a massive boost with similar injuries last game, as he scored 33.8 FPTS while playing 35.5 minutes. McLemore should have more then enough floor time to crush value at almost minimum price tonight.
Jerami Grant is a player who comes with a low floor. However, this slate is not full of clear smash options, especially at the forward position. Grant is cheap tonight at only $7,600 and we are interested in this matchup with Washington. The Wizards are the best team target in DFS right now as they are playing at a blazing pace with no defense. Grant always guzzles usage and always has upside to smash. We are hoping Grant can capitalize on the lethargic defense tonight and have one of his big games.
After the trades and the injuries, the only Celtics center tonight is Robert Williams. Williams is expensive tonight at $6.600, however he has some crazy upside that we cannot get away from. Williams has been a dominant per minute fantasy producer all season as his playing style causes him to amass massive stats. However, he has not seen massive minutes. Tonight, we expect Williams to play north of 30 minutes, and he has upside to absolutely break the slate. There is some risk at this price, but the upside for Williams to be a must play is also there.

Jayson Tatum – PF (8,400 DK) The news just cracked that Kemba Walker is going to be out tonight. That means there is going to be extra usage going around in Boston and it all starts with Tatum. This is about as cheap as we are ever going to get for Tatum, and he should be in for a nice boost without Walker. Tatum went for 57 FPTS last game and he has some of the best upside on the slate at this price.
Karl-Anthony Towns – C ($9,700 DK) We are happy with Towns as our most expensive play tonight, as he is in line for an absolute feast. Towns is one of the best fantasy producers in the league and he is back to full health after having Covid earlier in the season. Towns went for 64 FPTS last game and has been showing multiple huge nights lately. Minnesota will play the Rockets tonight, who have horrendous defenders in the frontcourt. Towns should be able to dominate inside tonight with another one of his big double double’s.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker – G ($5.300 DK) Alexander-Walker has been great the past three games without Ball. Alexander-Walker has played 31,35 and 39 FPTS in the past three games and we expect him to see massive time on the court tonight. Alexander-Walker has scored well over 30 FPTS in each of the past three games and is still yet to be priced up for that level of production. At this price, Alexander-Walker is a smash play for us.
Danny Green – F ($4,700 DK) Green has been surprisingly productive in the absence of Joel Embiid and we are happy to get him at this price. Green went for a massive 44 FPTS last game and has seen extended run in each game since Embiid went down. Green has played well over 30 minutes in each of the past five games. Green has scored over 30 FPTS in four of his past five outings, and we like betting on another solid game at this price.
Here’s a balanced lineup For DFS Basketball 3/27/21 (using FanDuel Values)
Point Guard | E. Bledsoe | $4,500
Point Guard | D. Garland | $6,500
Shooting Guard | N. Alexander-Walker | $5,300
Shooting Guard | B. McLemore | $4,000
Small Forward | D. Green | $5,600
Small Forward | J. Brown | $8,000
Power Forward | J. Tatum | $8,500
Power Forward | J. Grant | $7,300
Center | K. Towns | $9,900 |
Darius Garland – PG (6,500 FD) Collin Sexton has been listed as out tonight which means we should see a massive usage night for Garland. Furthermore, Cleveland has a great matchup with the Kings tonight, who are still one of the worst teams in the league defensively. Garland has showed high upside before and we like looking at him for a nice night tonight.
Jaylen Brown – SF ($8,000 FD) With Walker out for the Celtics there should be extra playmaking duties for Brown. This is a great price to pay for Brown, and he has a solid matchup with the Thunder tonight. Brown has potential to absolute smash as he has showed recently, and the usage will be there for him tonight.
Good luck everyone, make sure to keep an eye on what else breaks tonight.
