NBA DFS Picks for March 24 2021

We have an 11 game NBA behemoth to break down tonight. With slates of this size, we typically have tons of great options and more than enough studs to choose from. Tonight’s slate has almost too much star power, as it is going to be difficult to pick best the spend up options possible for tournaments. There is a decent amount of budget plays tonight, however there is a lot more value on the top of the slate then the bottom. We are playing an aggressive stars and scrubs build tonight, as we are looking to roster two top end superstars.

Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant remain out tonight for the Nets. Just like last slate, James Harden is listed as questionable as of now. Last time around we did not get Harden news until around 10 minutes before that game locked. Unfortunately, the Harden news is essential for roster construction so we will need to assume he is in until we get the definite news. Harden did a little bit of everything last night to score 62.8 FPTS. Harden did not shoot well last night and did more distributing as we imagined. Harden is the best player in NBA DFS when is the only ball handler on the floor and we expect 60 plus FPTS from him whenever he gets this opportunity. Harden has been priced down tonight to $10,900, and he is once again a lock if healthy.

Tyrese Haliburton looks phenomenal tonight. His minutes have steadily climbed back up since he was hurt, and we saw him play 36 minutes last game. Haliburton scored 37.75 FPTS last game and showed us earlier in the season that he can consistently produce that kind of performance. Haliburton should be in for a full minute’s load tonight and we expect him to play in the high 30’s to low 40’s. Haliburton is only $5,700 tonight and we are quite confident he will be back over $6,000 very soon. This is a great chance to buy low on Haliburton and roster him before it comes at a real cost.

Bogdan Bogdanovic is an interesting option in NBA DFS right now. Before the season we thought Bogdanovic would have a much bigger role and be more expensive then the $4,000 tag we see him at tonight. However, his season was completely sidelined by injuries. Bogdanovic has been playing increased minutes and has produced well the last three games. We need some cheap options tonight and we need massive upside on a slate this big. Bogdanovic gives us both.

As mentioned earlier, we need to find cheap options tonight so we can play the studs we like so much. Nicolas Claxton at $4,000 is one of our favorite budget options tonight. Claxton has been seeing increased run for the Nets lately and has played over 20 minutes in each of the last four games. Claxton has scored over 26 FPTS in three of his last four and he should be good for some great value at his price tonight.

Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot – PF (3,100 DK) Luwawu-Cabarrot saw a massive increase in role last time around with all the injured Nets. TLC played over 27 minutes last game and scored 23.5 FPTS. TLC is still near the minimum price for tonight and is the perfect play if he gets similar run to last game. TLC is known to be a high usage guy and will be playing with some guys who don’t do much outside of Harden. There is some great upside here and we do not have many strong options under $3,500 tonight. 

Nikola Jokic – C ($10,700 DK) I have mentioned it countless times at this point, but the pricing on Jokic is consistently egregious. Jokic is the top producer in the league by a decent margin this season, as he is averaging over 60 FPTS a game. Yes, I said over 60 FPTS a game. Jokic should be priced at around $12,000 but instead he is not even the most expensive player on most slates. Jokic went for 71.8 FPTS and that really is barely worth mentioning for a guy averaging north of 60. Jokic has a great matchup tonight against the Raptors, who have become one of the weaker defensive squads in the league.

Fred VanVleet – F ($7,900 DK) VanVleet has emerged as the number one option for the Raptors this season. VanVleet has been a usage monster all year and has produced great for DFS. VanVleet was priced around $9,000 before his injury a few weeks ago. His price will likely find its way back up there as he appears to be in perfect playing shape. VanVleet went for 48 FPTS last game and has great upside again tonight. This is a great opportunity to buy low on VanVleet as he is not a player who will stay under $8,000 for long. 

Al-Farouq Aminu – Util ($3,700 DK) Aminu absolutely broke the slate last game with 44.5 FPTS. Although we do not expect him to produce at that level again tonight, he still looks like a great budget option. Aminu has played 28 and 29 minutes the past two games and should be in for solid run tonight. The Magic have a few injuries today and Aminu should play high 20’s minutes again.

Trae Young – PG (8,700 FD) Young is a lot cheaper then he was earlier in the season. Although he has had some subpar games recently, he still has a monstrous role. The Hawks have a match up with the Kings tonight, who are one of the best possible matchups in the league. Young has some of the best upside in the NBA and he is no longer in the same price range as other superstars.

Kemba Walker – PG ($6,300 FD) Walker always has great scoring upside, and we get him at a great price tonight. Walker is cheap on both sites but his price on FanDuel is very captivating. The Celtics have a decent matchup with the Bucks, but we are mostly on this pick for the price. Walker works great for a big slate likes this, as we are looking for big upside. Walker has potential to put out a crazy performance for this price tag.
