We only have six games tonight and there is not a lot of value to be found. This is looking like one of the uglier slates we have had in a while. However, there are still some nice opportunities to target tonight, and more news may still come. The Utah Jazz are a team we love targeting tonight as they are missing point guard Mike ConleyThe Jazz are also facing off against the Washington Wizards, who are one of the best matchups in the league. Furthermore, some value just opened on the Knicks and we can now look to New York for some solid value. We have built a stars and scrubs lineup for today, hoping to get different as a lot of the field may struggle to find the value for this type of lineup.

Here’s a studs and duds lineup For DFS Basketball 3/18/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Point Guard  $3,000
Shooting GuardD. Mitchell $8,700
Small ForwardT. Horton-Tucker $3,900
Power Forward  $4,700
CenterR. Gobert $8,200
Guard  $10,700
Forward  $6,400
UtilityM. Brown   $4,300

Donovan Mitchell gets a solid boost with Mike Conley off the floor. Mitchell must do more playmaking and gets more usage. The Jazz are facing off against the fast-paced Wizards tonight, and everything is shaping up for a massive night from Mitchell. Mitchell is priced at $8,700 tonight, which is fair for the upside he typically shows. However, Mitchell should be in for a nice boost tonight and may be one of the top performers. On another slate, Mitchell would not be as much of a smash play. However tonight he is clearly one of the best spend up options we have.

The Lakers are missing a few big names going into tonight and there will continue to be extra minutes floating around. Talen Horton-Tucker has absolutely smashed the last two games and is still only $3,900. Horton-Tucker scored 30 and 40 FPTS in his last two games and has seen extended minutes. There is not a lot of value plays tonight and Horton-Tucker will be a must if his extra floor time continues tonight.

Rudy Gobert is another great spend up option on this slate. A lot of the more expensive players do not project great today and you can save a few thousand by playing Gobert at $8,200. Gobert has shown huge upside lately and has done more offensively without Conley in the past. The matchup with Washington creates a few extra possessions and there should be lots of missed shots for Gobert to collect. Gobert is great against undisciplined squads and that is what he will find tonight.

Moses Brown split the slate last time around, as he was an absolute must if you were to cash. Brown went for a ridiculous 51 FPTS at near minimum price and was clearly the best play on the slate last game. He is priced up to $4,300 and Al Horford is likely to be back in the lineup. However, Brown still gives us the solid floor we do not get from many value plays tonight. Brown should still be good for solid minutes and a low 20’s FPT performance. However, Brown has great upside if the minutes come his way and has showed us how much he can stuff the stat sheet.

Now what do you get if you sign up now?
• Our favorite spend-up option on the slate
• Strong value plays from the New York Knicks
• Different options to prepare for breaking news

Frank Ntilikina – PG (3,000 DK) Ntilikina is not typically a good fantasy producer, or someone we have targeted once this season. However, the Knicks are missing four guards tonight and he is literally the only point guard left on the roster. Ntilikina is likely to get the start tonight and should see much more minutes then usual. Ntilikina is at the minimum price on a slate without a lot of value, and he has some massive upside. If Ntilikina starts and plays big minutes, he may be a must play tonight.

Aleksej Pokusevski – PF ($4,700 DK) Pokusevski was somewhat disappointing for us last time out with only 15 FPTS. However, the run was still there for Pokusevski has played 29.2 minutes and merely shot 22 percent. Pokusevski will be able to crush value in this spot with a decent shooting night, and we do not have a lot of value at this position. The Thunder play against the Hawks tonight and there is a lot of upside for Pokusevski.

Lebron James – G ($10,700 DK) Last time we went to James because there were not great stud options, and he is so reliable. It is the same case here today, as James is the only spend up option that looks great today at the very top. James has been having massive games without Anthony Davis and has a good matchup today against Charlotte. James fits in a lot of places positionally, and we have the salary with him thanks to some of the cheaper plays we highlighted earlier.

RJ Barrett – Util ($6,400 DK) Barrett is an absolute usage machine as it feels like he puts up a ton of shots every single game. Barrett scored 40 FPTS last game and has shown improved production with all the guys out for the Knicks. New York has very few guards available today and Barrett should be creating even more offense then usual. Expect a massive usage night from Barrett here and he has some phenomenal upside.

Alternative Moves…

Clint Capela – C ($7,600 DK) Similar story to last slate for Capela. He is questionable as of now. Capela has some great upside if he plays as he is too cheap if he ends up playing normal minutes. However, if Capela is out John Collins will once again be a core play. Collins plays much more minutes without Capela and is much more productive.

Good luck tonight, and have fun watching March Madness this week!
