We have eight games to break down today. There are less obvious value plays for tonight as there are not too many injuries as of now. However, there are still some great plays tonight if you know where to look. We are targeting players who are underpriced and have great upside due to there matchups. Our strategy for the night also includes rostering players who are coming back from injury but appear to be healthy. These players prices have not caught up yet and today will be a prime chance to buy low on a few players. We have a balanced lineup tonight, as there is not a lot of obvious value plays at the bottom of the slate.
Here’s a balanced lineup For DFS Basketball 3/15/21 (using DraftKings Values)
Point Guard | $5,600 | ||
Shooting Guard | I. Quickley | $5,600
Small Forward | $6,200 | ||
Power Forward | G. Antetokounmpo | $11,100
Center | D. Eubanks | $3,000
Guard | $6,500 | ||
Forward | W. Barton | $5,300
Utility | $6,400 |
Derrick Rose is out, Elfrid Payton is doubtful and the Knicks rotation is falling apart Quickley. Immanuel Quickley saw a massive minute’s boost last game and it should be a similar story tonight. Quickley has been a good per minute fantasy producer all season and he should be forced onto the floor tonight, the dream combination for DFS. Quickley scored 35.8 FPTS last game, and we expect another big game tonight with big minutes against the Brooklyn Nets.
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored over 70 FPTS against the Wizards last game and we expect another monster performance tonight. Antetokounmpo is $11,100 for this slate, which is still way to cheap for the Freak against the Wizards. This should be a fast-paced matchup like it was two nights ago, and no one on Washington has a chance of defending Antetokounmpo. Antetokounmpo is averaging over 58 FPTS per game this season and is the best per minute producer in the league. Antetokounmpo projects for the highest total on the slate and is our favorite spend up option tonight.
As we mentioned in our introduction, there are not a ton of cheap value options tonight. Drew Eubanks is a safe play for the price, and he has some nice upside. Eubanks absolutely crushed last game with over 37 FPTS, which would break tonight’s slate at his price of only $3.000. We can not expect Eubanks to produce the monster outing he did last game, however the absence of LaMarcus Aldridge gives Eubanks a nice floor tonight. Eubanks sees much more floor time without Aldridge and should be good to crush value at the minimum price.
It is surprising that Will Barton is not more expensive after his recent production. Barton is only $5,300 tonight, but he has been crushing lately. Barton is averaging over 32 FPTS over the last ten days and has scored over 34 FPTS in three of his last four games. Barton has played at least 30 minutes with huge usage in each of those four games. Barton will be a great play tonight if his production persists, and there is no reason to think the usage will drop.
Now what do you get if you sign up now? • A few midrange options that are in line for huge performances • More plays that target some of our favorite matchups • Different options to prepare for breaking news |
Delon Wright – PG (5,600 DK) Wright had been crushing this season before he got hurt a few weeks ago. Last game, we saw Wright back up to 31 minutes and looked healthy. Wright should be back to playing massive minutes tonight and we expect him to reach the mid 30’s. Wright was priced all the way up around $7,000 before he got hurt and his price will probably be back there within a few slates. This is a great discount on a guy who plays a huge role for his team like Wright, and tonight will probably be our last chance to play him at this price.
RJ Barrett – SF ($6,200 DK) The Knicks have a great matchup tonight, as the Brooklyn Nets are the classic fast pace offensive squad we love to target in DFS. The Knicks are missing a few guards tonight and the minutes should be solid for Barrett. Barrett scored 49.75 FPTS last game on 21 shot attempts. Barrett should get a lot of opportunity again tonight, and he could go off for another huge game. Barrett is a decent Cash play but is better for tournaments as he offers a large amount of variance in his production.
Jrue Holiday– G ($6,500 DK) Holiday is in a similar situation to Wright. He was hurt recently and his minutes have been trailing back up, reaching over 30 minutes last game. Holiday is a great fantasy producer and should be way more expensive if he is healthy. Holiday played over 32 minutes last game and shot the ball 18 times. The Bucks are facing off against Washington again, and Holiday should be in for a good game.
R. Holmes – Util ($6,400 DK) Holmes is one of those players who rarely has a mediocre fantasy performance. He either hurts you for drafting him or is phenomenal. However, the last three games it has been the ladder. Holmes has averaged just shy of 40 FPTS across the last three nights and has a great matchup with the Hornets tonight. Holmes is a dynamic per minute producer and should be good for a big game if the minutes are there. Hassan Whiteside is still unavailable to play, which should somewhat solidify them minutes for Holmes.
Alternative Moves…
Keldon Johnson – SF ($5,000 DK) The Spurs are missing their star forwards today and there should be a lot of extra minutes. However, Coach Popovich even distributed the minutes last game, and we have no idea what he will do tonight. There is no guarantee what minutes anyone on this team will play, but Johnson and Derrick White are great darts to throw in tournaments.
