We have a fantastic two game slate to talk about tonight, as the Brooklyn Nets host the Milwaukee Bucks for game two, and the Pheonix Suns host the Denver Nuggets for game one. The first thing we must talk about for tonight is that James Harden has already been ruled out for tonight’s game. In consequence, we are obsessed with the Brooklyn guys for tonight’s slate. We are looking at Nets for some of our favorite spend up options, as well as our favorite budget plays tonight. We are going with an aggressive stars and scrubs lineup tonight, as we have a ton of interest in three superstars at the top of the price spectrum. Furthermore, Harden’s absence gives us a lot of value, so we have some great cheap plays to pay up with.

Here’s a stars and scrubs lineup For DFS Basketball 6/7/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardM. James $3,300
Shooting GuardK. Irving $9,200
Small Forward
Power ForwardB. Griffin $4,000
CenterG. Antetokounmpo $11,000
Guard
Forward $10,300
Utility

Last game we saw Harden leave the game after less then a minute on the floor. Mike James was the beneficiary of most of Hardens minutes last time around, as we saw him play over 30 minutes in the last contest. James was fantastic last time around, scoring 26.25 FPTS. James is only $3,300 here, which makes him our favorite budget play on the slate. For the playoffs we rarely have plays this cheap that our viable, and James has some decent upside. If James is to play near 30 minutes again tonight, he should be able to smash this price tag easily.

With Harden sidelined for tonight we love getting to Kyrie Irving. Irving is $9,200 for tonight, so he is significantly cheaper than the superstar spend up options on this slate. However, with Harden out the upside is much better on Irving and his potential is like the five-digit price guys. Irving always gets a significant usage bump whenever Harden is off the floor, as we saw last game. Irving took 26 shot attempts in 45 minutes last game, leading to 48.25 FPTS. We expect a similar opportunity for Irving tonight as the Nets are heavily relying on his offence. He has the potential for a massive game here and is cheap enough that we can play him with two bona fide superstars.

The biggest surprise in game one was of the Bucks – Nets series was the massive game we saw from Blake Griffin. Griffin has been extremely limited all season and it has looked like he is clearly on the way out. However, for this huge series against the Bucks we saw Griffin play a whopping 35 minutes in game one. Griffin was a must play as he went for 46 FPTS. Griffin is still only $4,100 here and he has the best upside on the slate considering price. If Griffin continues to play 30 or more minutes here, you will absolutely need him. With Harden out it is likely that solidifies Griffins minutes here, which makes him a priority for us.

Our favorite spend up option on tonight’s slate is Giannis Antetokounmpo, for a few reasons. We still love Antetokounmpo because of the matchup here, as Brooklyn has the potential to give up a ton of rebounds and points in the paint. The Nets have terrible frontcourt defenders, and we expect to see some crazy games from the Freak this series. The other reason we really want to include Antetokounmpo in our lineup is we are high on the other side of the game. We are going to four Brooklyn guys here, so we are already betting on this staying somewhat close. If that is the case, we want some exposure to the Bucks side as well, and there is no better place to look then Antetokounmpo.

Now what do you get if you sign up now?
• Another priority stud from the Brooklyn Nets
• A cheap guard who has been playing massive minutes
•  Get 7-days for free and all-access for all sports for $99 per year after

Mikal Bridges – SF ($4,800 DK) The suns have a few three and D guys that we can always look to for value, and Bridges is easily our favorite for tonight. This is a nice price tag to be paying for Bridges, who is one of the top options for the Suns. Bridges has been playing a lot of minutes lately, as we saw him play 35 minutes last time around. Bridges scored 25.5 FPTS last time around and 36.5 FPTS in the game before that. We are hoping that Bridges can hit his shots here, but he should be able to give us seem decent value given all the floor time.

Austin Rivers – G ($4,000 DK) Rivers is not a very glamorous DFS play, and he has been showing a low floor lately. However, still really like getting to Rivers at this price due to the massive minutes he has been playing. Rivers played 40 minutes last game and 47 minutes in the game before that. If Rivers is to play around 40 minutes again tonight, he should be able to give us great value even as unproductive per minute player.

Kevin Durant – F ($10,300 DK) The reason we are going with the heavy stars and scrubs build for tonight is we really like getting to Durant alongside with Irving and Antetokounmpo. Like Irving, we expect Durant to have to do a lot more tonight with Harden off the Floor. Durant played 40 minutes last game and took 25 shot attempts. Durant has massive upside here as we expect him to see another huge opportunity tonight. If he has one of his great shooting games, he will be a must have for this slate.

P.J. Tucker – Util ($3,200 DK) Tucker is a punt play here, but his price tag is necessary for us to be able to roster all three of our stars tonight. We saw Tucker play a solid role in game against the Nets, he played 28 minutes which is the most he has seen all playoffs. Tucker went for 17.5 FPTS last game, only hitting one of his four three’s. We expect Tucker to see similar run tonight, and he has some upside his shots are falling. Regardless, we do not need much from Tucker as he allows us to spend up for multiple high upside stars.

Here’s a stars and scrubs lineup For DFS Basketball 6/7/21 (using FanDuel Values)

Point GuardK. Irving $9,700
Point GuardM. James $4,800
Shooting GuardA. Rivers $4,900
Shooting GuardB. Forbes $3,900
Small ForwardK. Durant $10,700
Small ForwardM. Bridges $6,100
Power ForwardB. Griffin $5,100
Power ForwardP. Tucker $3,800
CenterN. Jokic $10,800

Bryn Forbes – SG (3,900 FD) The shooting guard position is tough on FanDuel tonight, as we do not really have any great SG plays. Forbes has had some great shooting games over the playoffs, and we know he will see decent run for the Bucks. If his shots are falling tonight, he will be an absolute must as he gives us a solid play at this position.

Nikola Jokic – C (10,800 FD) Jokic is always a solid play, however we do have a lot of stars to choose from tonight. On FD the center position is ugly tonight, so we are happy using it to spend up for Jokic. The Suns are a tough matchup, but Jokic still has great upside. Rostering Jokic is a good way to pivot from the first game which will likely be more highly owned.
