Tonight’s NBA slate looks ugly, as we only have two teams to look at. We have a clear lack of value tonight, and it is going to be a lot tougher to find the spare salary to roster studs with. The big news we are waiting on for tonight is if Anthony Davis plays, as we have no inclination as to if he will be available or not. Regardless, there still will not be too much value available. We are going with a balanced lineup tonight as we do not have the value to commit to a stars and scrubs build. We also have a lot of upside on cheaper studs in the midrange here, so a balanced build makes a lot of sense.

Here’s a balanced lineup For DFS Basketball 6/3/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardC. Paul $6,500
Shooting GuardC. McCollum $7,600
Small ForwardM. Bridges $5,000
Power ForwardR. Covington $5,100
Center
Guard
Forward $6,900
Utility

Chris Paul has been a tough guy to get right all series in terms of DFS. He has been dealing with injuries since the first game of the playoffs, which has caused him to play well under 30 minutes three of the five games this series. Paul only played 23 minutes last game, but that was a blowout win in which he did not need to push big minutes. If this one stays close there is a good chance we see Paul play 30 or more minutes, allowing for a big FPT performance. Paul has a ton of upside here due to his $6,500 price tag, as he has potential for some crazy value. There is not much to like on this slate, so if Paul can play a good game he will likely be a must have for winning lineups.

The Portland Trailblazers lost in double overtime last game to the Denver Nuggets, putting them in a must win situation tonight. We really like getting to CJ McCollum as he fits our balanced build very well. We do not have enough value to roster multiple superstars today, so we are looking at a few cheaper studs as well. McCollum is not hard to pay up for at $7,600 and he gives us some great upside. McCollum was not great last game, and he is yet to have a monster game this series. However, he has still hit over 40 FPTS somewhat consistently, and he has a lot of potential for a big game. We are looking for upside tonight and taking guys like McCollum allows us to get to four studs without a lot of budget plays.

We really like getting to Mikal Bridges for the suns tonight, as we expect to see a lot of minutes for the starters as the series tightens up. We do not have a lot of strong plays at the very bottom of tonight’s slate, so we are forced to rely on more expensive value plays. Bridges at $5,000 is the kind of value play we are looking for tonight. Bridges went for 36.5 FPTS last game and he has seen solid opportunities throughout the series. Bridges should be good for 30 or minutes tonight, and he is a somewhat productive player. He averaged 26.1 FPTS per game this season, which makes him a bit too cheap here.

Robert Covington is a mediocre value play on bigger slates; however, he is much more important with the lack of options tonight. We are getting Covington at $5,100 here, which is a good price for the minutes he has been playing this series. Covington has played 34 or more minutes every game this series, and we expect him to play high 30’s in minutes tonight. Covington scored 39.75 FPTS last game and was still on a pace for a great game before overtime. With Covington we are getting a ton of minutes for cheap, and the potential for another nice game.

Now what do you get if you sign up now?
• Our superstar target for this slate• A few options for value tonight
•  Get 7-days for free and all-access for all sports for $99 per year after

Nikola Jokic – C ($10,700 DK)As we mentioned earlier we are only getting to one top end star on tonight’s slate. We feel good about that one star being the Joker tonight for a few obvious reasons. Jokic has been the top DFS producer all year, averaging 57.3 FPTS on the season. Jokic could easily go for over 60 FPTS here, which would make him a must have on a small slate like this. Given the lack of options on this slate, the FPT total from a guy like Jokic is often something you cannot get away from.

Austin Rivers – G ($4,500 DK) Rivers has been playing solid run for the Nuggets lately and he offers us a solid value option at this price. He played a whopping 46.6 minutes last game, and still would have been in for a ton of run had it not gone to overtime. We saw Rivers come up with 31.25 FPTS last game and has showed decent upside throughout the series. We do not need much from Rivers to hit value here, and his minutes have been very promising.

Michael Porter Jr. – F ($6,900 DK) We are getting Porter at the lowest price tag we have seen in a while on him tonight. He is one of our favorite tournament options given his fantastic upside, and he is useable for Cash as well given his price. Porter went for over 51 FPTS in the last game, and we know he has the potential for huge games. The Nuggets are missing some key guys for this series, so we have seen some monster usage for Porter. Porter does have a somewhat low floor, but the upside is hard to get away from at this price.

Kentavious Caldwell–Pope – Util ($3,600 DK) KCP has been dealing with some injuries for the last few slates, and we saw him return to the floor last game. He only played 15 and left the floor early. We are waiting to see what the injury report reveals today, but we like taking the chance on Caldwell-Pope if he is good to go at this price. KCP Will be our only viable value play under $4,000 if he starts tonight, and he allows us salary savings that are unmatched. We only need him to score around 20 FPTS to be a fantastic play tonight, as he allows the rest of our lineup to have a lot more upside.

Here’s a balance lineup For DFS Basketball 6/3/21 (using FanDuel Values)

Point GuardC. Paul $7,500
Point GuardF. Campazzo $5,300
Shooting GuardC. McCollum $8,000
Shooting GuardA. Rivers $5,000
Small ForwardK. Caldwell-Pope $4,200
Small ForwardM. Porter $7,600
Power ForwardR. Covington $6,200
Power ForwardJ. Crowder $5,300
CenterN. Jokic $10,800

Facundo Campazzo – PG ($5,300 FD) Campazzo is more of a tournament play for us as he has showed an incredibly low floor lately. He only scored 6.4 FPTS in 21 minutes last game. However, he has played massive run for most of this series and has potential for a big game. We saw him at a much higher price a few slates ago, as he has scored well over 30 FPTS in three of his past four games. If Campazzo gets the role he was getting two games ago, he will be one of the best value options on the slate at this price.

Jae Crowder – PF (5,300 FD) Crowder is a solid value play on both sites tonight, as we know he will be in for a lot of floor time. Crowder has played low 20’s to high 30’s in minutes every game this series, so we have a good understanding of what his opportunity will be like tonight. Crowder always has potential for a nice game with a good shooting night, which is what we have to hope for with a slate like this.
