We have a great eight game slate to breakdown today. There are lots of great plays today and a few teams are back in the rotation. My plan for today involves targeting the Memphis Grizzles, who are still missing players due to health protocols. I will be targeting a balanced lineup today, as once again many stars are priced in the $7,000 range.

Here’s a midrange lineup For DFS Basketball 1/30/21 (using DraftKings Values)

      PG     J. Morant                                  $7,100 (DK)

      SG      __________                               $4,900 (DK)

      SF     D. DeRozan                               $7,000 (DK)

      PF      __________                                $7,400 (DK)

      C     X. Tillman                                    $3,500 (DK)

      G      __________                                  $5,000 (DK)

      F      __________                                  $7,800 (DK)

      Util   G. Hayward                               $7,300 (DK)

The Memphis Grizzlies have not played an NBA game in a few weeks. The Grizzlies will be my favorite team to target in their first game back Starting with number one option Ja Morant. The Grizzlies will be playing without big man Jonas Valanciunas, which will open a lot of usage. Morant is averaging over 38 FPTS on the season and scored over 41 FPTS in the last contest. Morant should get massive usage today and is priced light at $7,100. An easy matchup with the Spurs makes Morant a core play today.

DeMar DeRozan was a core play for me yesterday due to his being grossly underpriced. Today DeRozan has seen his price rise to $7,000, which is still not nearly enough. DeRozan scored 47.8 FPTS in his last contest and is averaging 40 FPTS on the season. The spurs have a great match up today against the fast-paced Grizzlies, who are weak on the defensive end. DeRozan has huge upside today for his price, making him another core play.

If you are looking for value on this slate, the best place to start is Memphis rookie Xavier Tillman. Tillman is likely going to get the start today for the Grizzlies. Tillman would be a smash spot today if Memphis had a healthy rotation, as he has scored at least 25 FPTS in the last three games. With the extra role today, Tillman is an absolute lock and should easily break value.

Gordon Hayward is a great fit if you are playing midrange today. Hayward is priced at $7,300, which does not correlate with his medium production. Hayward has shown massive games all year and is averaging 38.6 FPTS per game. Hayward is a little underpriced today and has the upside to break the slate. The only concern in this spot is a tough defensive matchup with Milwaukee.

Now what do you get if you sign up now?
• A guy you will need to profit in Cash games

• Cheaper midrange picks that work in every lineup
• Different options to take down big GPP’s

Tyrese Haliburton – SG ($4,900 DK) Haliburton has emerged as sixth man for the Sacramento Kings. Haliburton has played over 30 minutes in each of his last three contests. Averaging 29.3 FPTS in the last ten days and scoring 39 FPTS in his last match. If Haliburton continues to play a big role for the Kings, he can have a huge game at this price tag.

Zion Williamson – PF ($7,400 DK) Williamson is in a smash spot today and should be your first play in Cash games. Williamson scored 45.8 FPTS last game and is averaging well over 40 FPTS through the last ten days. Williamson has only scored under 40 FPTS twice in the last ten contests, in which he scored 39 and 33.75 FPTS. Williamson is questionably priced given his production and is a core play in today’s lineup.

Lonzo Ball – G ($5,000 DK) Ball is coming off a 47.3 FPT performance. Yet Ball has the lowest tag we have seen all season. A key principle to NBA DFS is buying low, which is what you are doing with this pick. Ball has scored over 25 FPTS in his last three games and has seen his minutes rise north of 30. With a good matchup against Houston, Ball is a great play that fits in any lineup.

Jerami Grant – F ($7,800 DK) Grant has made his emergence as a fantasy titan. Grant is averaging over 40 FPTS this season. I expect the ownership to be lower on Grant today as he is coming off two tough games against the Lakers and Cavaliers. Today Grant has a dream matchup with the Warriors, who play at the top of the league in pace with subpar defense. Grant is in the perfect spot for a big game and works well with midrange builds today.

Alternative Moves…

Giannis Antetokounmpo – G ($10,800 DK) Antetokounmpo is the best per minute producer in NBA DFS. Averaging over 58 FPTS through the last ten days, Antetokounmpo scored 67.8 FPTS last match. Charlotte is an easy matchup for big men, which makes Antetokounmpo my favorite stud on the slate.

Victor Oladipo – G ($7,900 DK) Oladipo continues to get massive usage on the Rockets. Oladipo shot the ball 23 times last game and scored 46.3 FPTS. Oladipo has played at least 35 minutes in three straight matches. Expect Oladipo to continue to get big usage today and has huge upside.
