Only three games tonight and none of them are too enticing to my DFS expert eyes. It can be hard to know where to start on this slate but there is a lot of value If you know where to look. My plan for today is to target players on the Los Angeles Clippers who have not been priced up on DraftKings.
Here’s a balanced lineup For DFS Basketball 1/26/21 (using DraftKings Values)
PG T. Young $9,100 (DK)
SG __________ $5,800 (DK)
SF J. Robinson $4,000 (DK)
PF __________ $4,700 (DK)
C D. Cousins $6,000 (DK)
G __________ $9,900 (DK)
F __________ $5,600 (DK)
Util I. Zubac $4,900 (DK)
There are not a lot of exciting stars to pay up for today. Trae Young however, fits the bill. Young has scored over 50 FPTS in each of his four last outings and is fresh off a 56 FPT performance. Considering Young’s recent production, $9,100 is a great price to pay on this slate. In a matchup against a gutted Clippers squad, Young is a core play for me if he is healthy.
We don’t have nearly as many value plays to choose from as we did yesterday. However, we can still look to a depleted Washington team, specifically Jerome Robinson. Robinson scored over 30 FPTS in his last outing in this spot, on over 35 minutes. If Robinson continues to play north of 30 minutes, he should easily be able to hit value again today. Robinson is one of the few value plays I really like today.
DeMarcus Cousins remains to be the best play on the slate in the starting spot. He has seen his price rise to $6,000, which is not nearly enough given his production. Cousins scored 58.3 FPTS in his last game and is in a similar position tonight. Cousins has been able to play monster minutes recently and is a core play for today.
DraftKings have priced up many clippers today due to the limited roster. Ivica Zubac however remains priced at $4,900. Zubac should get more minutes and much more usage today without the Clippers stars. Zubac scored over 30 FPTS in his last outing and should be able to do the same today with a nice role boost.
Now what do you get if you sign up now?
• A star with slate-breaking upside
• Different targets on todays gutted Clippers squad
• Different plays to differentiate your GPP’s
Lou Williams – SG ($5,800 DK) The clippers are playing without any stars today, which should open lots of usage for Williams. Williams is one of the only players on this roster who can create his own shots and one of the best playmakers. If Williams gets hot today he can absolutely break the slate with the role he should take on.
Marcus Morris Sr. – PF ($4,700 DK) Most members of the clippers have been drastically priced up today. However, Morris remains priced fairly cheap. Morris will likely get the start today and could be one of the higher usage players for the squad. Morris is one of my favorite clippers to target simply due to his small price tag.
Bradley Beal – G ($9,900 DK) Beal is one of my favorite spend up options today. On a slate without a lot of the top stars, Beal is a great target. Beal has scored at least 40 FPTS in each of his last ten games and has shown massive upside. In a great matchup against Houston, Beal should be able to put together a monster night.
Kevin Huerter – F ($5,600 DK) The Hawks have multiple players questionable today. Huerter is likely to continue to play big minutes and take a lot of shots. Huerter has shown some nice upside recently and is a lock today if more hawks are listed out.
Russell Westbrook – G ($9,600 DK) Westbrook has some of the highest upside for todays contest. Averaging almost 50 FPTS a game this season, Westbrook is consistently a top spend up option. The reason he is not a core play for me is he was on a minute’s restriction last game coming off an injury,
Victor Oladipo – SG ($7,900 DK) We are still unsure what Oladipo’s role will look like on this team. Making him more of a GPP play for ne, he has massive upside as a primary ball handler. Oladipo may still have huge usage today and is not priced for the upside.
Make Sure to keep an eye on the Atlanta rotation for today, good luck folks.
