We are back to the more manageable slates with seven games today. There are still a lot of great plays, but it is a little easier to narrower it down compared to a bigger slate like we got yesterday. There are plenty of underpriced stars today that we will be capitalizing. We have built a mid-range lineup for today, so we can fit in as much underpriced talent as possible.
Here’s a midrange lineup For DFS Basketball 2/9/21 (using DraftKings Values)
Point Guard | J. Wall | $7,300
Shooting Guard | $3,600 | ||
Shooting Forward | D. Bacon | $4,100
Power Forward | $7,000 | ||
Center | N. Vucevic | $8,900
Guard | $4,100 | ||
Forward | $7,800 | ||
Utility | R. Gobert | $7,200 |
The Wizards rested John Wall yesterday but will be resting Victor Oladipo today. Wall should get a massive usage boost tomorrow in a decent matchup. Wall has seen his minutes rise recently and will be well rested for tonight’s game. Wall has superstar upside, which is hard to get away from at $7,200. Wall is a lock tonight if he is in and Oladipo is out.
Dwayne Bacon is never going to be your most exciting play. However, the Magic are gutted bad today and Bacon will have to play big minutes. Bacon played 31 minutes in the last contest, shooting the ball 14 times. Bacon scored over 22 FPTS in a floor game in this role. If bacon continues to see this type of usage, he is drastically underpriced at $4,100 tonight.
There are not many slates where Nikola Vucevic plays and is not a solid option. However today Vucevic is a core play given injuries to multiple Magic players. Vucevic will have to take on the brunt of the usage tonight and remain on the floor for it to stay close. Vucevic remains underpriced at $8,900, considering he is averaging over 47 FPTS on the season.
I do not know what Rudy Gobert possibly did to piss off DraftKings so much, but he remains comically priced at $7,200. Gobert is averaging 38.6 FPTS on the season and has showed nice upside this year. Gobert has been in blowouts almost every game he did not hit value this season and his price remains low for tonight. Gobert fits well in all contests but is a lock for Cash games.
Now what do you get if you sign up now?
• A midrange star who has been on fire lately.
• An underpriced play that can break the slate.
• More options for different lineup builds.
Lonnie Walker IV – SG ($3,600 DK) Walker has one of his lowest price tags of the season tonight. Walker is averaging almost 20 FPTS a game, so we expect him to hit value in this spot. The Spurs are missing a few key guards tonight and Walker should have to play solid minutes. Walker is a great play and a core for stars and scrubs tonight.
Jerami Grant – PF ($7,000 DK) Grant is averaging over 40 FPTS on the season and scored 53 FPTS in the last game. Grant’s price is extremely questionable tonight on DraftKings making him a lock for this slate. Grant’s price fell after a few tough matchups. We have been waiting for the right opportunity to go heavy on Grant. That chance is here with a dream matchup against the Brooklyn Nets.
David Nwaba– G ($4,100 DK) The Rockets will be undermanned to some degree tonight. Nwaba’ s price tag and position flexibility allow you to fit whoever you want elsewhere. Nwaba played massive minutes yesterday and shot the ball 14 times. Nwaba should be forced to play a similar role again tonight, making him a great budget choice.
DeMar DeRozan – F ($7,800 DK) DeRozan is another player who DraftKings seems to refuse to price adequately. DeRozan is averaging just under 40 FPTS per game on the season. However, his production has skyrocketed recently without LaMarcus Aldridge in the lineup and his price has not changed. DeRozan is returning to a great matchup with the Warriors tonight. If Aldridge is out, DeRozan is once again a core play.
Alternative Moves…
Dejounte Murray – C ($6,500 DK) Murray is painfully underpriced tonight. He scored 62 FPTS in his last outing and his price went down. Murray has the same matchup with the Warriors today and is lined up for another big game.
Like always, keep an eye on where the questionable tags end up. Good luck tonight folks.
