Kind of a strange slate today. The best target of the night, Chicago at Toronto, was postponed a few hours ago. Furthermore, we have a lot of value on a Charlotte Hornets team that has been extremely inconsistent with their rotation. There will be a ton of value tonight if you know where to look, and you should be able to pay up for whoever you want. We created a balanced lineup tonight, utilizing high value plays at different price points.

Here’s a balanced lineup For DFS Basketball 2/28/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Point Guard  $7,200
Shooting GuardD. Rose $5,700
Small Forward  $3,300
Power ForwardP. Washington $5,900
CenterJ. Valanciunas $7,400
GuardM. Monk $5,300
Forward  $10,800
Utility         $4,400

Derrick Rose has been on fire lately and Elfrid Payton is likely to sit again tonight. Rose has been priced up to $5,700, but we will happily pay that for his production without Payton. Rose played a whopping 37 minutes last game and we all know coach Thibodeau has no problem running his players big minutes. Rose is a strong fantasy producer which explains how he scored well over 40 FPTS with all the floor time last game. Rose is a smash play if Payton is still out.

The Hornets are the team to target today. A few core players are missing, and they have the best possible matchup in the Sacramento Kings. PJ Washington should get the start again today and play massive minutes. Washington amassed 43 FPTS in his last game starting at center and has a better matchup tonight. Washington is $5,900 tonight, which works well in a midrange build like ours. Washington checks every box in terms of DFS value tonight, which is always what we are looking for.

The Memphis Grizzlies have a great matchup with Houston tonight and are a tad underpriced. $7,400 for Jonas Valanciunas is a nice discount and he has a really exciting matchup. Valanciunas is pretty much the last back to the basket big man in the NBA and he is playing against micro ball tonight. The Rockets do not have a single big and Valanciunas has some tremendous upside. Valanciunas is a great play for tournaments tonight as he can really go crazy against this Houston squad.

Malik Monk has really been emerging as a scoring threat lately and should get a nice boost tonight. Expect Monk to see a little extra run without Gordon Hayward, and he does not need much. Monk is averaging over 30 FPTS over the last ten days and scored over 33 FPTS last game. It is always fair to expect a fairly good game against the Kings, so we expect Monk smashes value in this spot.

Now what do you get if you sign up now?
• Our core spend up tonight
• Midrange plays who should get a boost in production
• Different options to prepare for the night’s news

Ja Morant – PG ($7,200 DK) Morant is way too cheap and our favorite Grizzlies play tonight. Houston is a great matchup and Morant has dominated in pace up spots in the past. Morant is averaging 38 FPTS over the last ten days and has faced much tougher matchups. Morant is a steal in this spot and is a core play for any midrange lineup.

Cody Martin – G ($3,300 DK) Martin is easily our favorite value play tonight, as he provides us with multiple advantages. Martin has the ideal SG/SF position eligibility that will effectively always make him fit well. Beyond that he is near minimum price and has a pretty good floor today. Martin played 25 minutes and scored 18.3 FPTS last game. However today Gordon Hayward is out, and Martin should get a huge boost. Martin is a core play tonight as it is very unlikely, he hurts you tonight.

Lebron James – F ($10,800 DK) James is not a steal at this price, however he is still a great play. That is because there is so much value available it would be ineffective to not pay up for one of the superstars. James projects way higher in total FPTS then anyone else tonight, which is why we really like rostering him with all the value. James scored 67.75 FPTS last game and has another great matchup tonight against the Warriors. James fits in five of the eight roster spots and is surprisingly easy to pay up for.

Kelly Olynyk – Util ($4,400 DK) We expect the ownership on Olynyk to be somewhat depressed tonight as he has not produced well the last few nights. However, Olynyk has played over 30 minutes the last two games and has shot terribly. With a decent shooting night Olynyk will smash value. Olynyk is a great tournament play as he will not be as chalky as the rest of our lineup.

Alternative Moves…

John Wall – G ($8,300 DK) Wall is looking great tonight as Houston is missing a few key players. Expect Wall to receive a nice usage boost tonight and has some great upside. The Rockets have a good matchup against the Grizzlies. Wall is priced fairly but he has the upside to pay off big.

Keep track of the breaking news tonight and have some fun with this one.
