Another nine-game slate tonight, however tonight’s slate is much more stacked at the bottom then yesterdays. We will have a ton of value to choose from as San Antonio has announced they will be missing half their roster due to COVID-19 protocols. The Spurs have not been priced up at all, so a huge part of our strategy tonight involves a big Spurs stack. Alongside the San Antonio players, we will be targeting some studs who have good opportunities going into tonight. We will have no problem paying up for anyone we want to play tonight, as there are so many great budget options.
Here’s a value-based lineup For DFS Basketball 2/24/21 (using DraftKings Values)
|L. Walker IV
As we mentioned earlier, the Spurs are missing a lot of talent tonight. Dejounte Murray is the only high usage guard left for San Antonio and should take on a huge load tonight. Murray is a little pricey at $7,400, however this price is still a huge steal considering the boost he should receive tonight. Murray scored 55 FPTS last game and had a 60 FPT game recently. Tonight’s contest will be the perfect opportunity for Murray to show us his massive upside once again.
There is no doubt that Lonnie Walker IV is a core play for tonight. Walker should be forced into massive minutes as the Spurs are specifically short on wings. Walker is only $3,700 tonight and allows you to pay up without compromising any production. Walker should be forced into north of 30 minutes tonight and is an absolute lock. Walker fits at five of your eight roster spots on DraftKings, it is going to be very heard to get away from him tonight.
Kemba Walker will be sitting out against the Hawks tonight, Jayson Tatum should get a nice boost and is one of our favorite spend up options. Tatum is not cheap at $9,200; however we will have no problem getting to him with all the Spurs value. Tatum has dominated without Walker in the past and Atlanta is atrocious defensively. Tatum should have a big night in this spot, and he fits great in our stars and scrubs build.
Saban Lee had another big game last night for the Pistons. Lee has only been priced up to $3,800 for tonight, however he has scored at least 30 FPTS in both games without Delon Wright. Lee has seen a massive minute’s boost without Wright and should get good run again tonight. If Lee can produce anywhere near the level he has the last two nights, he will crush this price tag. Lee is a great piece for stars and scrubs and works well in all contest types tonight.
Now what do you get if you sign up now?
• More budget options to finish off the perfect stars and scrubs build
• A guard with slate breaking upside
• Different pivots to prepare for breaking news
Patty Mills – SG ($4,300 DK) Mills is another Spurs value who should crush tonight. Mills should get a solid minute’s boost for San Antonio tonight and he is a fairly high usage player. Mills is averaging 21.9 FPTS per game this season but he is in line for a huge bump with all the injuries for the Spurs.
Zion Williamson – SF ($4,500 DK) For a while this season, it felt like Williamson could not score more then 43 FPTS. However, he has totally broken his ceiling and has been dominating lately. Williamson scored 48.5 FPTS last game and has passed 50 FPTS in two of his last four outings. Williamson has an easy matchup against the Pistons tonight and has been having a ton of strong performances lately.
Solomon Hill – F ($3,000 DK) Hill is looking strong tonight if John Collins ends up out. Hill came in for Collins last game and managed to put together 23 FPTS. At this price Hill should crush as long the minutes are there. However, if Collins is in you may want to look at Keita Bates-Diop at the same price.
Trae Young – Util ($9,800 DK) It makes a lot of sense to use your utility spot for an extra point guard tonight, as there is a ton of value at that position. Young has scored over 55 FPTS in each of his last four games and has a ton of upside tonight. The Hawks will have a few injuries and may be missing star forward John Collins. If Collins is out Young is a core play, but he is one of our favorite spend up options regardless.
Jarrett Allen – C ($7,700 DK) Allen has been dynamic since he got the starting spot for the Cavaliers. Allen scored 45.5 FPTS last game and is averaging over 43 FPTS across the last ten days. Allen is a fantasy producer who gets a lot of his production off the glass and is going up against a tiny Houston frontcourt tonight. Allen is a little too cheap for his recent production and has some really enticing upside with this matchup.
Good luck tonight folks keep an eye on that key John Collins news and whatever else might break.
