NBA DFS Picks For February 15 2021

James Harden DFS
LOS ANGELES, CA - DECEMBER 19: Houston Rockets guard James Harden (13) kicks out the ball with a no look pass after driving the lane in the first half during the game between the Houston Rockets and the Los Angeles Clippers on December 19, 2019, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA. We have seven games to break down today and a lot of value has already opened. The past few slates, we have been at the mercy of late news that broke after lock. For tonight, we already have most of the important injury news, so we can identify top plays a lot easier. Our game plan for tonight involves running a stars and scrubs build, to capitalize on some great studs available. Like usual, we will continue to exploit value created from injured teammates.

Here’s a stars and scrubs lineup For DFS Basketball 2/15/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardJ. Wall $7,500
Shooting Guard  $8,900
Small ForwardC. Osman                                  $3,300
Power Forward  $6,600
CenterD. Cousins $6,200
GuardJ. Harden $10,700
Forward  $3,600
Utility          $3,200

John Wall will play his first game against the Wizards tonight, the team that drafted him. We are not on Wall for the narrative tonight, but because he has a great matchup playing without Victor Oladipo. The Wizards are terrible defensively and John Wall should be able to have a big game. Wall is underpriced at $7,500 tonight, considering he is in the perfect situation for DFS.

With Andre Drummond officially scrapped from the Cavaliers rotation. It is finally time for the return of the Cedi. Cedi Osman has seen his price drop all the way down to $3,300, as he has lost playing time. However, with the Cavaliers committing to going smaller, Osman should work his way back into the rotation. I would not be surprised if Osman starts tonight, but he should see solid floor time regardless.

DeMarcus Cousins has been somewhat disappointing lately in the starting lineup, causing his price to plummet to $6,200. The rockets have been blown out in each of there last four games, and it does not make sense to play an injury prone center like Cousins in a blowout. Tonight the Rockets face off with the Washington Wizards, who are one of the worst teams in the league. Its hard to predict one of these teams can put this away and it should stay close. Cousins has upside to break the slate if he must take on more competitive minutes tonight.

Kevin Durant has been ruled out for tonight’s contest with Sacramento. James Harden projects great without Durant and should take on a huge role tonight. Harden scored over 62 FPTS last game and has showed that crazy upside consistently throughout the last few years. The Kings remain the best target in NBA DFS, due to their pace and weak defense. Harden is the most enticing pay up option tonight and there is more than enough value to pay up for him.

Now what do you get if you sign up now?
• Value plays to complete your roster
• A star in a great situation tonight
• Pivot options at Center and Point Guard

Bradley Beal – SG ($8,900 DK) The news just broke that Russell Westbrook will be playing his first back-to-back of the season tonight. Beal projects better without Westbrook but is a lock at this price regardless. Hopefully the Westbrook news lowers the ownership on Beal, because it should be very high. Beal is averaging just shy of 50 FPTS a game this season and scored over 54 FPTS last night. Beal is leading the NBA in real life points with 33 a game and has an easy matchup tonight against the Rockets.

Harrison Barnes – PF ($6,600 DK) Barnes may be a nice contrarian play tonight, as he has shot poorly the last few games. However, Barnes has a great matchup tonight against the Nets and has shown great upside all season. Barnes has been in a few blowouts lately, which explains his small reduction in minutes. This is a good chance to buy low on Barnes, who is lined up for a big game tonight.

David Nwaba – F ($3,600 DK) Nwaba has certainly been up and down lately. However, his minutes should be somewhat secure without Victor Oladipo in the lineup. Nwaba scored 18 FPTS last game and should get a little more run tonight. Nwaba allows us to pay up elsewhere and should hit value in this one. However, better value may open later in the day.

Mo Wagner – C ($3,200 DK) Wagner got the start last night and is a lock if he starts again tonight. Wagner is a decent per minute fantasy producer and the minutes should be safe if he starts. Wagner scored 24.5 FPTS last game and has a much better matchup tonight against Houston. If Wagner remains in the starting lineup, expect him to crush value tonight.

Alternative Moves…

Jarret Allen – C ($6,700 DK) Allen will probably be the highest owned player tonight, for good reason. Allen will be getting the start again for Cleveland and has a great matchup against the Warriors. Allen has dominated in the past without Andre Drummond and has massive upside tonight. A key to this slate will be choosing the right centers, as there are a few great options.

Darius Garland – G ($5,500 DK) Garland is way too cheap tonight and is a great play against Golden State. He is averaging 28.8 FPTS on the season and has seen increased usage without Drummond. Garland scored 34.75 FPTS last game and should have another good game tonight. The only problem with Garland is there are more expensive point guards who have very enticing upside.

Have fun tonight, this is looking like our most stable contest in weeks.
