We have a nine game NBA slate to breakdown tonight and this one is looking solid. We do not have as much obvious value plays as we did on some other slates but there are still some great opportunities. We have a lot of questionable tags as of now, so it is going to be essential to keep an eye on the news as the day progresses. We have highlighted a few plays that have great matchups and price tags for this slate. Furthermore, we will talk about a couple priority plays depending on where the questionable tags are going to end up. We have gone with a stars and scrubs build today, although we are targeting multiple midrange plays as well.

Here’s a stars and scrubs lineup For DFS Basketball 4/7/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardR. Westbrook $11,100
Shooting GuardD. Bane $4,400
Small ForwardM. Bridges $5,000
Power Forward  $5,600
Center  $6,000
Guard  $8,800
Forward  $5,800
UtilityG. Bitadze $3,000

Bradley Beal has been questionable going into the past five slates and he has missed every single one of them. We have no idea if Beal will play tonight, but Russell Westbrook is a lock if he is out and a great play regardless. Westbrook has been the top producer in NBA DFS over the past few weeks and he has shown a massive boost in opportunity without Beal. Westbrook went for 62 FPTS last game and he is averaging 64.8 FPTS over the past ten days. Westbrook has showed some of the best games we have seen all season recently, and he may have that situation without Beal again tonight.

The Memphis Grizzles have announced that they are missing a few rotation pieces for tonight’s game. Desmond Bane fills an awkward SG spot, and he is too cheap for this spot at $4,400. Bane went for over 30 FPTS last game and we expect him to put out another solid performance with some extra run. Bane has hit solid value at this price in four out of his five past outings, with the exception still being over 20 FPTS. If Bane gets a small boost with the injuries today he will be a great play. The Grizzlies play the Hawks tonight, who offer a solid pace up opportunity.

Both LaMelo Ball and Gordon Hayward are listed out for tonight. There will be a lot of extra opportunity and we expect to see a massive boost for Miles Bridges. Bridges is cheap tonight at $5,000 and we expect him to see a nice opportunity with Hayward out. Bridges has played over 30 minutes in four of the past five games and he has showed some real upside. Bridges went for 46 FPTS just two nights ago and he will have a chance for another big game tonight. Oklahoma have been playing catastrophic defense lately and we have seen them get blown up a few games in a row.  Bridges has a great situation tonight and he has some great upside for his price tag.

We do not have a lot of great budget options today, but we get all we need from Goga Bitadze. It is looking likely that Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis are both ruled out tonight. If that is the case Bitadze is an absolute lock but he looks great with either one of them out. We get Bitadze at the bare minimum of $3,000 tonight, and he opens all the salary we need for the rest of our roster. Bitadze has been a great value at this price the past three slates and this could easily be his biggest game if the two big men are out. Sabonis seems to be injured bad and Turner hurt his ankle last game, so we expect to see at least one of the two sidelined. The price on Bitadze gives us a ton of flexibility tonight and he should be in for a nice value night.

Now what do you get if you sign up now?
• A few plays with the ideal matchup against the Wizards.
• A star guard with phenomenal upside
•  Get 7-days for free and all-access for all sports for $99 per year after

Aleksej Pokusevski – PF (5,600 DK) Pokusevski is a guy we have been getting to a lot lately, as he has a great role of Oklahoma City that does not really show in his price. Pokusevski has played north of 30 minutes in every single game for the past seven contests. He has emerged as a top usage guy for the Thunder, as just last game he took a team leading 19 shots. The Thunder have a solid matchup against the Hornets tonight and we are happy going back to Pokusevski, He has not scored under 20 FPTS in eight days and it is much more likely he has a great game then he disappoints us tonight.

Wendell Carter Jr. – C ($6,000 DK) Carter Jr. was part of our lineup last time around and he did not disappoint as he went for over 40 FPTS. In fact, Carter Jr has scored over 40 FPTS in each of his three past games. Carter Jr has only been priced up to $6,000 when he should be close to $2,000 more. There is no reason to think that Carter Jr. is not going to play a massive role for the Magic moving forward as he is clearly there number one option at center. Carter Jr has played over 30 minutes in each of the past three games and we expect that to be the case unless he falls into foul trouble.

Trae Young – G ($8.800 DK) Anytime Young is under $9,000 we are going to have a lot of interest as he is one of the top DFS producers we have in the league. Young is averaging 46.2 FPTS per game and we know he has upside from some of the best performances in the league. Young scored 52.25 FPTS last game and we see him score well over 50 FPTS on a common basis. The Memphis Grizzlies have been playing at a fast pace lately and this could be a big night for Young.

Chuma Okeke – F ($5,800 DK) Okeke was another guy who we were on last game for the Magic. Okeke scored 41.25 FPTS last game and he has scored over 30 FPTS in each of his past four outings. Furthermore, the Magic are playing against Washington tonight, who are the best matchup in the NBA. The Wizards play at the fastest pace in the league by far, and we always want to get some exposure to the team they are playing. Okeke should be at least $500 more expensive, and the matchup makes him a great play for tonight,

Here’s a stars and scrubs lineup For DFS Basketball 4/7/21 (using FanDuel Values)

Point GuardR. Westbrook $11,000
Point GuardT. Young $8,200
Shooting GuardD. Bane $4,200
Shooting GuardD. DeRozan $7,900
Small ForwardA. Edwards $7,400
Small ForwardR. Barrett $6,000
Power ForwardM. Bridges $5,800
Power ForwardA. Pokusevski $5,500
CenterG. Bitadze $3,900

DeMar DeRozan – SG (7,900 FD) DeRozan is a little too cheap tonight as he has shown increased output since the deadline. Dejounte Murray is listed as questionable tonight and that is something we are going to have to track. DeRozan looks solid regardless, but he is an absolute smash if Murray ends up out. DeRozan has great upside and we have seen him that a massive role as primary playmaker for the Spurs.

Anthony Edwards – SF ($7.400 FD) Edwards is a little to expensive over on DraftKings tonight but is a solid price on FanDuel. Edwards has massive upside as we have seen him score over 40 in three of the past five outings. Edwards has seen a massive role for the Timberwolves lately as he consistently plays high 30’s minutes. Edwards is a top usage guy, and he always gets the opportunity for a huge performance.

RJ Barret – SF ($6.000 FD) we are getting Barrett for a little bit cheaper than he wave seen him over the past few weeks. Barret is coming off a few subpar shooting performances, but he is still playing a massive role for the Knicks. Barrett plays north of 30 minutes every game and he should get a nice opportunity here.

Good luck tonight, keep an eye on the news as a lot of guys are still listed questionable.
