We only have six games today, but we have a ton of great plays. We know there are going to be a lot of injuries on the Pacers, Celtics, and Rockets. Most of our lineup consists of players from those three squads, as they offer the most value as of now. With all the injuries, we have some good cheap plays tonight, leading to yet another stars and scrubs style build. The Indiana Pacers have a ton of questionable tags as of now, and as always we will discuss a few options depending on who is available. There is a ton of value to play around with here, and you can take your lineup in a few different directions.

Here’s a stars and scrubs lineup For DFS Basketball 4/27/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardP. Pritchard $3,700
Shooting GuardJ. Brown $8,400
Small ForwardE. Sumner $4,000
Power Forward
Center
Guard
Forward  $10,900
UtilityK. Porter Jr. $6,500

Kemba Walker and Jayson Tatum are both ruled out for tonight. There is a huge opportunity here for everyone else in the Celtics Rotation. Payton Pritchard is a smash play for us tonight at $3,700. We have seen Pritchard consistently play big minutes when Walker was out in the past. In the last game without Walker, Pritchard played 24 minutes and scored 33 FPTS. Pritchard has consistently hit value without Walker, but the play becomes so much better with Tatum also sidelined. The Celtics will not have a lot of offensive creators tonight, and we could see some significant production from Pritchard. Pritchard is one of the top guys in line for usage tonight and is way too cheap for that opportunity.

Our second priority from Boston tonight is Jaylen Brown. No doubt Brown will be high owned tonight, and for good reason. Brown is the clear first option with Tatum and Walker out. The Celtics do not have a lot of offensive options here, it would not be surprising to see them rely heavily on Brown’s offense. Brown is $8,400 tonight, but frankly the price does not matter. He would be a great play if he is $1000 less or more, as he simply has some of the best upside on the slate via scoring opportunity. Brown has been having big games all season, and we are expecting to see one tonight. The Celtics are matched up with Oklahoma City, and the Thunder’s novice defenders make a bad shooting night a lot less likely.

Along with the Celtics our top team for value will be the Indiana Pacers tonight. The Pacers are without Domantas Sabonis, with a few guys having questionable tags. One guy who has seen a massive minute’s bump with all the injuries is Edmond SumnerSumner has played 34 and 37 minutes in the past two game, and we are expecting solid run tonight. Sumner should be in for massive run if Jeremy Lamb remains out. Sumner has scored well over 30 FPTS in back-to-back games. What makes Sumner a smash play here is he has not been priced up for the run he has been getting at all. Sumner is still only $4,000, despite crushing this tag a few games in a row. Sumner is a fantastic play here and he should be able to easily hit value if he continues to see extended minutes.

John Wall is out tonight, and Houston is another squad we can look to with a great matchup against the Timberwolves. Kevin Porter has massive upside with Wall out of the rotation. Porter offers a lot of variance in his DFS production in general. However, we have seen him take on a much bigger role without Wall in the past. Porter should be in for some massive usage here, which helps a lot with lifting the concerns of a floor game. Regardless, we are taking Porter for the upside as he can easily go for 50 or more FPTS here at only $6,500. We know how high Porter’s upside is, and it is much more likely we see that big game with Wall off the floor. If Porter goes off here, no other play on the slate will match his production for the price.

Jaden McDaniels – PF ($3,600 DK) We went to McDaniels yesterday as he has been playing massive minutes lately. That trend continued as McDaniels played 34.3 minutes to go for 25.5 FPTS. McDaniels price has hardly moved, despite playing over 30 minutes in four straight games now. McDaniels is certainly not a glamorous DFS play, but he is the definition of solid value here. McDaniels has a way easier matchup tonight against Houston, and we are hoping he can show some upside. Regardless, McDaniels should be in for more than enough floor time to hit value once again.

Goga Bitadze – C ($4,000 DK) Bitadze is once again questionable, as he has been going into the past three slates. Bitadze has ended up out for each of them, however that is no reason to think he cannot play here tonight. If Bitadze is in, we are looking to roster him. He should be starting center and could give us value even in limited run. However, if Bitadze is out, Indiana will have to continue starting Oshae Brissett at center. If this is the case, we want to keep rostering Brissett, as he has been playing a ridiculous role as the only big for the Pacers.

Malcom Brogdon – G ($8,800 DK) Brogdon is a completely different producer with Sabonis off the floor, which is why we are happy rostering him as this elevated price point. Brogdon has been fantastic in the three games since Sabonis went down. Scoring between 45 and 60 FPTS. Brogdon is still cheap for the role he has here, and the Pacers have a nice matchup with the Portland Trailblazers. Brogdon has been taking massive usage in the past three games. We saw him play a bit less minutes last game on the second end of a back-to-back, so we expect him to play even more minutes tonight. The Pacers are clearly lacking offensive creators without Sabonis, and we expect them to rely heavily on Brogdon again.

Luka Doncic – F ($10,900 DK) Doncic is a priority for us tonight for a few reasons. Firstly, he is the most expensive player on the slate, and we can afford him. With all the high priority value plays we have talked about; we are able to play Doncic very easily. Furthermore, we know that multiple key Mavericks are going to be sidelined tonight. Dallas will have to rely on Doncic even more then usual here, and he has some incredible upside. Doncic can always go for a huge game, and the ceiling is even higher with the extra usage he should see tonight. The Mavericks have a great matchup against the Warriors tonight. Every box is checked for Doncic and we are looking for a big game here.

Here’s a stars and scrubs lineup For DFS Basketball 4/27/21 (using FanDuel Values)

Point GuardL. Doncic $11,300
Point GuardM. Brogdon $8,500
Shooting GuardM. Smart $6,600
Shooting GuardE. Fournier $5,200
Small ForwardJ. Brown $8,100
Small ForwardK. Porter $5,600
Power ForwardJ. McDaniels $4,100
Power ForwardJ. Green $5,400
CenterG. Bitadze $5,100

Marcus Smart – SG (6,600 FD) Smart is a solid play on both sites at this price. The Celtics do not have a ton of options here with Tatum and Walker out, which means Smart should be in for a big opportunity. We expect Smart to take a ton of shots tonight and they have a good matchup. Smart has some great upside here and we want a few Boston guys.

Evan Fournier – SG (5,200 FD) Fournier has not been playing a lot of minutes since he came back from injury, however we expect him to get back to a normal load soon. With Tatum and Walker out for Boston, this is a great chance for Fournier to play some solid minutes. Watch for a minute’s limit here, as Fournier looks great if he does not have one.

Jeff Green – PF (5,400 FD) Green was the last guy in for us, and he is a play you can replace as we can more options. However, he has been good lately and someone must perform for the Nets. Green has scored over 34 FPTS in two of his past four games. With a great matchup against Toronto, that is what we are betting on here.

Good luck everyone, keep an eye on the news as we have a ton of questionable tags right now.
