We only have five games to breakdown for tonight and we can tell this one is going to be a lot less chaotic than yesterdays slate. We do not have as many of our favorite plays today, but we do have some great opportunities to go after. We do have a solid team target in Portland tonight, as there is a big opportunity without Damian LillardWe have a studs and duds lineup tonight, but we are not able to go to our usual favorite pay up options. Furthermore, we are targeting some guys who are either missing teammates or have fantastic matchups to get extra upside tonight.

Here’s a studs and duds lineup For DFS Basketball 4/20/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardK. Irving $9,900
Shooting GuardN. Powell $6,400
Small ForwardD. Bacon $7,000
Power Forward
Center
Guard
Forward  $4,400
UtilityS. Adams $5,200

We know that James Harden and Kevin Durant are among the many sidelined Nets for tonight, which leaves all the usage to Kyrie Irving. Irving is expensive tonight at 9,900, however he is still one of our favorite spend up options on the slate. Irving has had massive games all season and we have seen him really take over when he is the only star available to play. The rest of the Nets are all low usage guys tonight, and there is some crazy upside from Irving if he has an efficient scoring night. Furthermore, we do not have a lot of our favorite superstar options like we had last night, and the upside we get from Irving looks unmatched.

We mentioned that Lillard is out for tonight and we have a few strong options from Portland. We really like getting to Norman Powell at $6,400, as he should be in for a nice opportunity without Lillard. We have a smaller slate tonight, and we high upside plays will really stand out when they hit. Powell only scored 26.75 FPTS last time without Lillard, but the role he played was massive. Powell played 38 minutes last game and shot the ball 16 times. Powell only made six field goals last game, but he should have another chance as Lillard remains out. With a better shooting night, Powell can be in for some fantastic production at this price.

The Orlando Magic are missing a few guys tonight, mostly forwards. Dwayne Bacon looks like a nice value play as he should be forced into a lot of minutes and we have seen him take him some high usage before. Bacon is only $4,200 tonight after a great game scoring 34.75 FPTS in 33 minutes. We expect Bacon to see similar run tonight, as he is one of the only forwards left healthy for the Magic. Bacon is not a play we would be going to on a larger slate like yesterdays, but he should be in for solid value here and opens a lot of salary for us.

It is not every day that we talk about Steven Adams upside, but we are all over him with the matchup against Brooklyn tonight. We are getting Adams at a solid price of $5,200, as he is averaging 27.3 FPTS over the past ten days and scored 34.5 FPTS with big run last game. But it is the matchup with the Nets that make Adams part of our core lineup. The Nets have been the worst defensive squad against centers all season, and frankly the problem has only gotten worse as the roster has developed. We are at the point where Brooklyn is running Blake Griffin at starting center, and this should be a rebound feast for Adams. Adams should be able to impose his will inside tonight and that playing style can rack up FPTS rather quickly.

Now what do you get if you sign up now?
• A stud forward with a fantastic matchup.
• More priority plays from the Portland Trailblazers.

Zion Williamson – PF ($9,700 DK) The price tag on Williamson is slightly off-putting tonight, but it is warranted given his recent production. Williamson scored 55.8 FPTS last game and is averaging over 50 FPTS over the last ten days. Williamson has emerged as one of the leagues polarizing stars, and he brings the DFS production that comes with that. We have seen upside in the high 60’s from Williamson and are all over him in this matchup with Brooklyn. A lot of what we said about Adams applies here, except Williamson is already one of the top DFS producers in the league. The Brooklyn frontcourt is an absolute joke at this point, and it is easily the worst-equipped rotation of big men to try and defend a titan like Williamson. Williamson should feast on the glass and score at will inside tonight. He could be in for one of his big nights in this spot.

Enes Kanter – C ($6,100 DK) The re-addition of Jusuf Nurkic to Portland’s rotation has been catastrophic for Kanter’s DFS output. However, Nurkic is out tonight, and we can roster Kanter for a little too cheap. Portland is also missing there first option tonight in Lillard, and Kanter should have to put up a few more shots. Last time Nurkic was out, Kanter scored a ridiculous 70 FPTS. We cannot expect that performance consistently, but it does show us the kind of upside Kanter has when he is getting the full center run.  The Clippers are not a great matchup but are also not a problem for big man, and we have seen them struggle to defend players like Kanter in the past. Everything looks good for Kanter tonight, and he is our favorite center option as of now.

Anfernee Simons – G ($3,800 DKSimons is a guy we always expect to see a solid minute’s bump when Lillard is off the floor. At this price, it does not take much to get value and we expect Simons plays more then enough minutes. Simons scored 16 FPTS last game which is slightly underwhelming for the price. However, Simons played over 30 minutes last game, and we expect him to see big minutes again tonight. IF Simons plays near the 30 minutes he has played the past two games, he should be able to produce a better game and give us some great value.

Gary Harris – F ($4,400 DK) Harris was the last guy in for us and is far from someone we consider a lock. However, we are interest in Harris with all the Orlando injuries tonight. Harris has been solid for this price lately, scoring 22.8 FPTS last game. However, with all the forwards out for Orlando tonight, Harris might have to do a little bit more. Harris should have the upside for a big night, and it will not take much to make a great value play tonight.

Here’s a stars and scrubs lineup for DFS Basketball 4/20/21 (using FanDuel Values)Point GuardK. Irving $9,400Point GuardA. Simons $3,700Shooting GuardD. Bacon $3,800Shooting GuardB. Brown $4,800Small ForwardN. Powell $6,200Small ForwardA. Edwards $7,100Power ForwardZ. Williamson $9,800Power ForwardJ. Randle $9,400CenterE. Kanter $5,500  Bruce Brown – SG (4,800 FD) Brown should be one of the top guys for the gutted Nets tonight. The Nets do not have a lot of guard options outside of Browns and Irving tonight. We should see a massive opportunity for Brown has been solid lately. Brown scored 32.2 FPTS last game and he should be playing a bigger role against New Orleans tonight. Anthony Edwards – SF (7,100 FD) Edwards was the last guy in for us and is not someone you need to play. However, the upside on Edwards is always fantastic and his usage is always there. The Timberwolves have a great matchup with the Kings tonight, which is a prime opportunity for a big game from Edwards. Julius Randle – PF (9,400 FD) Randle is on fire right now and we are happy rostering him for this easy matchup against Charlotte. Randle has scored over 65 FPTS in back-to-back games, and he has been on a tear for a little while now. The Hornets have a terrible frontcourt, and we could see a dominant performance from Randle. Good luck tonight, small slates like this can be a refreshing change to the insanity we have been getting recently.
