We only have five games to breakdown for tonight, but there are a few things we need to mention. We have a lot of strong targets for a slate this small, and we can find solid plays consistently thought out the slate. Our favorite team to after tonight is going to be the Detroit Pistons, as they have the ideal matchup against Washington and will have a few injuries tonight. Furthermore, we have a solid number of injuries on this slate in general, and we have a lot of priority plays on a few different teams. We are going with a somewhat balanced lineup for tonight, as we do not have many cheap value options unless more news breaks. We are targeting guys who are underpriced for tonight and have high upside in their matchup’s.

Here’s a balanced lineup For DFS Basketball 4/17/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardR. Westbrook $10,900
Shooting GuardC. Joseph $4,700
Small ForwardS. Bey $5,200
Power Forward
Center
Guard
Forward  $5,900
UtilityD. Ayton $6,800

We have been going to Russell Westbrook a lot lately as he is on a ridiculous tear right now. Westbrook is hotter than anyone in the league has been all season, and he has been a must play often. Westbrook is the most underpriced player on this slate at $10,900, given the production we have seen from him lately. Westbrook has scored well over 60 FPTS in six over his past seven contests, and he has scored over 50 FPTS in every contest for too long to count. Westbrook feels like the safest play on the slate, as he has not had a bad game in weeks. Westbrook went for over 69 FPTS in both of his last two games and that is not surprising given his recent production. Westbrook has a fantastic matchup with Detroit tonight, and he is a lock once again.

We just got the news that Detroit is going to be resting a few guards today, but Cory Joseph was not on the injury report. Joseph has taken on a massive role since being traded to the Pistons, as they are tremendously low on scoring options. Joseph is only $4,700 tonight, despite scoring over 40 FPTS in two of his last four. Joseph was disappointing last time out, but he likely endured the injury that game. Before that, we saw three straight games of over 30 minutes for Joseph. The Pistons are going to be undermanned at the point guard tonight, and we expect to see a nice opportunity here for Joseph. The Pistons have the best matchup in NBA DFS tonight against the Wizards, and we want some exposure to there top usage guys. Joseph is cheap tonight, and he could be in for a massive role against the Wizards in this one.

We went to Saddiq Bey yesterday and he did not disappoint. Bey crushed yesterday with 34.3 FPTS in over 39 minutes. Tonight, Bey may not have quite as much usage as Jerami Grant should be back in the lineup. However, Bey is still cheap for his upside as he is only $5,200. Bey is averaging 30 FPTS over the past ten days and we have seen him go for big games with Grant in the rotation. We mentioned how we want multiple pieces of Detroit tonight and Bey always plays solid minutes. The Wizards are terrible defensively and we hope Bey can capitalize on his playing time tonight.

Another player we have been all over on DraftKings lately is DeAndre Ayton as he has been fantastic lately and is yet to be priced accordingly. Ayton scored 42.75 FPTS in each of his last two contests and is still only $6,800 for tonight. Ayton has been showing us the production we expected from him all season lately. He has hit solid value at this price in seven straight games, with four games over 40 FPTS in that span. Ayton has great upside as he is not priced for his current production. The Suns have a solid matchup with San Antonio tonight, who we know are far from the defensive juggernaut we remember them as. Ayton could be in for a big game and is a priority play if he stays this cheap.

Jerami Grant – PF ($6,500 DK)Grant was rested last night, and he is not on the injury report for tonight’s game. Assuming Grant plays, he is way too cheap at this price considering the matchup tonight. Grant is averaging 36.6 FPTS per game this season and would be a priority play in almost any matchup. However, the matchup with the Wizards makes Grant a smash play tonight for us. Grant has been a massive usage guy all season and he is the clear first option for Detroit. Grant has showed countless big games this season, and he is priced for an underwhelming performance tonight. The Wizards offer a fantastic pace up opportunity and Grant will have a ton of chances tonight against the measly Wizards defense.

Tristan Thompson – C ($4,500 DK) Robert Williams is out again for tonight and we expect to see Boston turn to Thompson like last game. Thompson is still so cheap tonight, and he is a smash play if he is announced as a starter again. Thompson scored 30 FPTS without Williams last game, and he has upside for an even bigger performance as we have seen in the past. We can remember that Thompson was a dynamic DFS producer in his last years in Cleveland, and he will be playing big minutes tonight. Thompson would be much more expensive than this if he were consistently the only big man available, and this is a great opportunity to grab some value.

Coby White – G ($5,200 DK) Zach Lavine remains out and we want to go right back to Coby White tonight. White dominated last time out with both Lavine and Tomas Satoransky out, going for over 45 FPTS. Satoransky is questionable as of now and White is a lock if he is out again, however he looks solid regardless. We saw White play over 33 minutes last game and shoot the ball 17 times. White should be in for a big opportunity again here tonight, and we could easily see him have another massive game. Regardless, White should have enough usage here to put out solid value even with subpar shooting.

Kyle Anderson – F ($5,900 DK) Anderson has been good for a little while now and his price does not fully reflect his production. Anderson should be over $6,000 tonight as he scored 36.3 FPTS last game and is averaging 34.1 FPTS over the past ten days. Anderson has scored over 30 FPTS in eight out of his past ten contests, showing nice upside in multiple games. The Grizzlies have a decent matchup with Milwaukee tonight, and Anderson is very solid at this price.

Here’s a balanced lineup for DFS Basketball 4/17/21 (using FanDuel Values)

Point GuardR. Westbrook $11,400
Point GuardC. White $4,500
Shooting GuardB. Beal $8,300
Shooting GuardD. Brooks $5,000
Small ForwardS. Bey $5,400
Small ForwardK. Anderson $6,400
Power ForwardJ. Grant $7,100
Power ForwardD. Green $7,400
CenterT. Thompson $4,300

Bradley Beal – SG (8,300 FD) Beal has had a few underwhelming games lately, but he is way too cheap for this slate. Beal is averaging just under 45 FPTS per game, and he is warranted a higher price as he has so much upside. Beal is the top scorer in the NBA this season, which results in massive nights in DFS. The Pistons are terrible defensively, and they have no defenders on the caliber of Beals scoring. Beal could be in for a huge game here, and he has so much upside because of the price tag.

Dillon Brooks – SG (5,000 FD) Brooks gives us a ton of variance as he is a scoring dependent producer. However, he is too cheap tonight which mitigates a lot of the risk here. Brooks went for 39.4 FPTS last game, and we see him put out that type of upside on a regular basis. Brooks has great upside and is underpriced for his median production tonight.

Draymond Green – PF (7,400 FD) Green has fantastic upside due to his triple double potential and ability to amass defensive stats. Green went for 59 FPTS two games ago and we have seen a lot of games north of 50 FPTS from him this season. We get green at a solid tag tonight, and he has the kind of upside we are looking for on a slate like this.

Good luck tonight folks, keep checking the news for more injuries as we get closer to lock.
