We have a massive ten game slate tonight, and we have a lot of factors we need to discuss just like last night. Ten game slates usually put us in a situation where we have too many picks too choose from. However tonight there are a few guys who really stand out tonight due to price tags or situations. We are high on the Indiana Pacers again tonight, as everyone is even cheaper going into night number two without Malcolm Brogdon. Our core lineup tonight consists of some absolute priorities for us from Indiana as well as some guys who are coming in way too cheap for what they are doing. Like last night, we are going to talk about some potential injury news in our premium content, and we will get to some guys who look good if their teammates are out. There are a quite a few ugly games on this slate, so we really know what teams we are looking at here.
Here’s a balanced core For DFS Basketball 10/30/21 (using DraftKings Values)
Point Guard | S. Gilgeous-Alexander | $7,300
Shooting Guard | J. Clarkson | $5,400

Somebody over at DraftKings has a serious itching to make Shai Gilgeous-Alexander way too cheap for DFS slates. Gilgeous-Alexander has been fantastic across the past three games, and this is the third time in the past four slates that he comes way too cheap. $7,300 is a ridiculous price tag for a guy who scored 47.25, 40.75 and 52 FPTS respectively in his last three games. SGA is doing everything for the Thunder right now as he has been playing nearly 40 minutes a night on high usage. Oklahoma City play the Golden State Warriors tomorrow night, who offer a fantastic matchup for DFS. There is no reason for SGA to ever be much under $8,000, so his price tonight is pure value. SGA is going to be a cash core for us, and we are happy squeezing him in beside a few superstars for tournaments.
One piece of news that we have had since yesterday about tonight’s slate is that Mike Conley is not going to be playing for the Utah Jazz. The Jazz are on the front end of a back to back here, so it makes sense the veteran is resting. There is going to be a huge opportunity for the Jazz guards, and one guy who we know dominates in these spots is Jordan Clarkson. We are used to seeing Clarkson start and take massive minutes when Conley was out in the past, and we expect that to be the case tomorrow. Last year Clarkson would get all the way up to around $7,000 when Conely was out for a while, so we love getting to him tonight at his $5,400 price tag. Clarkson is one of those guys who never met a shot he didn’t like, so with a lot of floor time tonight he has incredible upside.
As we mentioned in our introduction we are still super high on the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers are on a back to back here, so guys have not been priced up despite the ridiculous roles they saw last night. In the first game without Brogdon on the floor, we saw a few massive recipients of floor time. The guy who consumed the most of Brogdon’s minutes was Torrey Craig, who ended up being the value play that paid off big last night. Craig played 34 minutes last time out, a massive bump up from the 12 minutes he had played the game earlier. We expect Craig continues to play a solid minutes load with Brogdon off the floor, and he is still only $3,100. At this price, there is not much to hesitate about. He opens a ton of salary and there is upside for another big game.
Our favorite spend up option for last night’s NBA slate was Domantas Sabonis, and he is our number one stud to go after tonight as well. Sabonis is just asked to do a lot more with Brogdon off the floor, and he has gotten to an even better price at $9,200. At this price point we would be interested in Sabonis if all the Pacers were Healthy, so with Brogdon out he is a complete smash. Indiana have a nice matchup tomorrow against the Raptors, which means Sabonis should have a lot of minutes against Precious Achiuwa. Sabonis should be able to feast here, and that is just about the only way Indiana gets a win.

Now what do you get if you sign up now for $99? • Priorities at every position • Some general strategy for the night • Two more guys we want a ton of from Indiana • Injury news we have our eye on
Point Guard
T.J. McConnell – PG ($4,900 DK) McConnell started in place of Brogdon last night as expected, and he went on to play some massive minutes. McConnell put up 14 field goal attempts in 33 minutes last time out, and we expect to see that role again as Brogdon remains out. McConnell has massive upside if he puts together good production in his time on the floor. We love that he has gotten $600 cheap for tonight, as this is too cheap for McConnell if he is going to be playing over 30 minutes.
Shooting Guard
Chris Duarte – ($5,600 DK) If you read our article yesterday, everything we liked about Duarte stays the same for tonight. The rookie has been taking on a massive role for Indiana, and he got even more shots up last night without Brogdon. Duarte is averaging just shy of 30 FPTS on the season, and he has seen a big role every game. He put up 19 shots in 34 minutes without Brogdon last night, so we love him in a similar spot against Toronto.
Scottie Barnes – (6,000 DK) Yesterday we talked about how we really liked getting to Barnes for the DFS slate, and he ended up putting out another dominant performance. Barnes has been the most impressive rookie by far this year, and it is a thrill to watch what he is doing every night. The Raptors are fully committed to Barnes, so we are seeing him play big minutes with high usage every game. This seems expensive for a rookie, but it is too cheap for Scottie Barnes.
Desmond Bane – ($5,300 Dk) It is Eerie how consistent Bane has been this season in terms of DFS production. He has scored over 29 FPTS every game this season. He has also scored over 32 FPTS every game besides a blowout loss in which he scored 29.25 FPTS in 23 minutes. Bane has taken a much bigger role then he saw as a rookie last year, and his offensive game looks fantastic. This is still too cheap for Bane for how he is producing, especially given how high his floor has been. If Dillon Brooks remains out, we expect Bane to be producing at a high level.
Giannis Antetokounmpo – (11,400 DK) Antetokounmpo comes with an ugly price tag tonight, but the price is well warranted for his production. Antetokounmpo is always one of the guys we are looking at as a priority to spend up to, however he looks even better now with Jrue Holiday out of the Bucks rotation. Antetokounmpo showed his upside last time, going for just shy of 80 FPTS. He had to take on a massive scoring load last game without Holiday, so we are excited to see what he does tonight.
Joel Embiid – ($10,200 DK) Embiid has been questionable often coming into games this season, but we are still yet to see him actually miss any contests. We think it is likely Embiid ends up playing again tonight, and we do like him at this price point. There are not too many studs on this slate, and Embiid is giving us one of the highest ceiling without giving us the highest price. If Embiid ends up sitting this one, Andre Drummond becomes a lack for us. we also really like paying up to roster Tobias Harris if he is going to have to carry the load for the Sixers.
General strategy
Ten game NBA slates are always a little bit difficult to navigate. We have so many teams playing that it is tough to decide which stars we want to stick our flag into. For tonight’s slate, we know we are going to Sabonis and SGA for Cash games, with some of the other Indiana guys. For tournaments tonight there are a lot of stars you can feel good about getting to. Steph Curry stands out at the top of the slate with over 56 FPTS per game so far this season, but his price tag is hard to stomach for Cash games. We are waiting on a lot of news out of the Detroit Pistons, as we could see some of their high usage guys sit today. First overall pick Cade Cunningham is likely to debut for the Pistons tonight. There is a lot of risk he doesn’t play, but we do like his upside if he starts at $3,600. Make sure you keep an eye on news for tonight, as with ten games some big stuff usually breaks that impacts the slate. Good luck with this one, go make some money.
