Tonight’s seven game NBA slate presents us with a lot to talk about, as there is a lot of news around this slate. The first thing we must talk about is all the questionable tags, as we are unsure if a lot of big time stars are going to play tonight. There are a lot of teams that we don’t really like if they are fully healthy tonight but have the potential to be priorities if certain guys end up out. For our core lineup tonight, we are going to talk about our favorite plays with the information that we currently have. In our premium content, we will get to some guys who we will want to roster if certain questionable players end up out. Our general strategy for the night will also focus on all the questionable tags. As of now we are focused on the Indiana Pacers for value tonight, who will play a fantastic matchup in the Brookyln Nets without Malcolm Brogdon.

Here’s a balanced core For DFS Basketball 10/29/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardT. McConnell $5,500
Shooting GuardB. Brown $3,800
Small ForwardO. Anunoby $6,800
Power ForwardD. Sabonis $9,400
Center
Guard
Forward
Utility

As we mentioned in our introduction the big news that we already have for this slate is that Brogdon is going to be out for tonight’s game against the Nets. Brogdon has been averaging 36.6 minutes and close to 20 shot attempts this season, so there is a huge opportunity tonight for the other Pacers. The point guard we expect to see the biggest minutes boost in Brogdon’s absence is T.J. McConnell, who we expect to start here. McConnell is averaging 22 minutes per game this season, but we likely see him play over 30 minutes tonight. Even at this $5,500 price tag, we are happy getting to McConnell. There are a lot of way that he can fill the stat sheet and stepping into Brogdon’s starting spot he should see a massive opportunity.

It was a big surprise in the Brooklyn Nets season opener to see Bruce Brown only play 4 minutes. However, his role has been steadily increasing all year and we saw him play 35 minutes last time out. We expected Brown to see a ton of floor time this season, if Kyrie Irving remains inactive. Browns is only $3,800 here, and it is likely he continues to play 30 or minutes in a fantastic matchup against Indiana. If Brown continues to start tonight, we really like going to him for salary savings.

We have seen a massive usage bump so far this season for OG Anunoby. Which we expected given that there are a lot less cooks in Toronto with Kyle Lowry gone and Pascal Siakam injured. Anunoby is averaging 36.8 FPTS so far, so we are still happy with the $6,800 price tag. Anunoby struggled with the increased usage the first few games out, but we have seen him adjust and score over 44 FPTS in both of his last two outings. We expect him to continue to take massive usage for the Raptors, and it is likely he becomes an $8,000 guy this year.

With the news that Brogdon is out against Brooklyn we are all over Domantas Sabonis for tonight. Sabonis is coming in at a fantastic $9,400 price tag after a slower night last time out, and we expect him to do everything for the Pacers offense. With Brogdon out Sabonis is going to be relied on heavily for scoring and setting up others on offense. There is upside for a crazy game from Sabonis tonight, and he feels like the safest stud at this price. Sabonis is who we are looking at as first guy in for Cash as of now, and we really like using him for tournaments.

Here’s a balanced core For DFS Basketball 10/29/21 (using FanDuel Values)

Point GuardT. McConnell $5,700
Point Guard
Shooting GuardO. Anunoby $7,200
Shooting Guard
Small ForwardC. Duarte $5,600
Small Forward
Power ForwardD. Sabonis $9,300
Power Forward
Center

Now what do you get if you sign up now for $99?
• Priorities at every position
• Some general strategy for the night
• More value from the Indiana Pacers
• Who we want to go after if certain studs are out

Point Guard

Jalen Brunson – PG ($4,800 DK) Brunson took a nice step up last NBA season, and he appears to be doing the same thing this year. Brunson has scored over 35 FPTS in both of his last two games, and his price has come down $200 for tonight. Brunson is too cheap for the massive role he has been playing in the last few games for the Mavericks. If Kristaps Porzingis ends up out tonight, it looks even better for Brunson. However, we like him either way.

Shooting Guard

Chris Duarte – ($5,500 DK) Duarte has been one of the most impressive rookies early this season. He is averaging 29.6 FPTS per game so far, and he has played over 30 minutes every game. Duarte is already a high usage player for Indiana, but we expect his role to increase significantly with Brogdon out. He has already shot 15 field goals attempt or more every game, so the upside tonight is impossible to ignore. With an easy matchup against the Nets, we love getting to Duarte here.

Small Forward

Scottie Barnes  (6,000 DK) Barnes has been the most impressive rookie in the NBA so far this season, and he has been a complete stud for DFS. Barnes can stuff every stat on the stat sheet, which has led to him averaging 31.8 FPTS per game so far. Barnes has had some massive games so far, with two outings over 40 FPTS. The Raptors have an easy matchup against the Magic tonight, so we like betting on another big game.

Gary Trent Jr. – (5,000 Dk) Trent is another Raptor we really like getting to tonight. Since getting the start for the second game of the season, Trent has been playing a massive role for Toronto. He has played 32 or more minutes and put up double digit shot attempts every game he has seen the start. He has great upside if he can get his three’s to fall, and we like him in this matchup with Orlando.

Power Forward

Maxi Kleber – (3,300 DKKleber saw a massive opportunity last time out without Porzingis playing, and he stepped up with over 40 FPTS. Kleber is still so cheap here and offers us the ability to fit in a couple stars. If Porzingis is out again tonight, we love going back to Kleber at this price. He can hit value so easily when he is this cheap, and if he has a solid performance there is massive benefit.

Center

Nikola Jokic – (10,700 DK) Jokic is questionable for tonight’s slate, and he looks like as solid spend up option if he does play. However, there is a lot more to talk about if he is out. Jokic does everything for this team, so a lot of guys have the room to step up when he sits. Plays like Aaron Gordon, Michael Porter Jr and Will Barton all look fantastic if we do see Jokic sit.

General strategy

We have a ton of questionable tags tonight, so our general strategy is going to be focused on that. Lebron James missed his last two games, and he is questionable for tonight. We saw the classic top of the league production from Russell Westbrook when James was out, so we love paying up for Westbrook if James sits tonight. We also want to go right back to Malik Monk if James sits, as he was starting in his absence at a great price. If James and Anthony Davis both play, we really don’t want like anything from the Lakers tonight. We just got the news that Bam Adebayo is questionable for tonight as well. If he ends up out, Dwayne Dedmon becomes a priority for value and Jimmy Butler is a solid spend up. Make sure you are keeping track of the news tonight as there is a lot of value that could be unlocked, good luck.
