We have another five NBA DFS slate to breakdown for tonight, as there is a lot of news we need to discuss for this one. We have a lot of plays that stand out already here, as well as some questionable tags that could create a lot more value. One key piece of news that we already have is that Jaylen Brown has been ruled out for tonight, we are looking at the Boston Celtics as a main source of value in response. In Our core lineups we will get to our favorite play from the Celtics as well as the superstars we have our eyes on for tonight. We will focus on potential priorities from the questionable guys in our premium content, as well as a few more picks that look good right now.

Here’s a balanced core For DFS Basketball 11/6/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardR. Westbrook $4,000
Shooting GuardD. Schroder $4,600
Small Forward
Power ForwardA. Davis $10,500
Center
GuardA. Caruso $3,900
Forward
Utility

We know that Lebron James is going to be out for the Lakers for at least a week, that means there is going to be a consistent opportunity going around for everyone else. Russell Westbrook is the most expensive player on this slate at $10,900, and for good reason as we know how productive he can be when he has the ball in his hands. Westbrook really takes over for this team when James sits, and we have seen him drop some huge games in similar spots this season. Westbrook should see massive usage tonight, and his triple double upside gives him the potential of being a must play with a ceiling game. Last year Westbrook was the best DFS producer in the league as the primary ballhandler for the Wizards, which isnt far from the role he plays when James sits.

There are a few guys who look interesting tonight from the Boston Celtics, but one who really stands out as a priority for us is Dennis Schroder. Schroder has looked good for a while now, as he has averaging 30 FPTS per game so far for the Celtics. Schroder scored 32.25 FPTS in 30 minutes last game, and we are getting him a little too cheap at $5,400. Browns absence makes Schroder an absolute priority for us, as he should see a significant usage and minutes bump here. Schroder is one of the top offensive options for Boston without Brown, so there is upside he puts out a huge game if he can shoot well.

With the news that James is out, the other stud who is going to stand out is Anthony Davis. Davis was our core star last time out, and he smashed without James scoring 65 FPTS. Davis has to take on a much larger scoring role for this team when James is out, as a lot more of the offense runs through Davis inside. Davis is $10,500 here, which we are happy to pay for him if he plays. Davis is questionable after the last game, and we have even more value on the Lakers if he sits. Westbrook would be an absolute lock without Davis, and we would have a lot of value from the Lakers big men.

We have a lot of priority studs on tonight’s slate, so we know we need to find some nice budget guys to plug in. One priority for us tonight is Alex Caruso, who looks good at $3,900. Caruso consistently plays solid minutes for the Chicago Bulls, as we usually see him play between 25 and 32 minutes. Caruso is averaging 22.7 FPTS per game so far this season, so we have a lot of interest at this price tag. Caruso consistently goes for around 20 or more FPTS, so he is giving us a great floor here. We know Caruso is not going to kill us, and his salary allows us to fit in a lot of upside.

Here’s a balanced core For DFS Basketball 11/6/21 (using FanDuel Values)

Point GuardR. Westbrook $9,600
Point Guard D. Schroder $6,000
Shooting Guard
Shooting Guard
Small ForwardD. Hunter $4,500
Small Forward
Power ForwardA. Davis $10,600
Power Forward
Center

Now what do you get if you sign up now for $99?
• Priorities at every position
• Some general strategy for the night
• More studs that we have an eye on
• Potential priorities if certain guys get ruled out

Point Guard

Luka Doncic – PG ($10,700 DK) Our two favorite stars as of now are Westbrook and Davis, so it is harder to fit Doncic into all of our lineups. However, Doncic also looks good here and he stands out compared to most of the stars that we can choose between. Doncic has some of the best upside on the slate as we know how much he can explode in his big nights. If Davis ends up out and we have more cheap guys from the Lakers we want to roster instead, we will likely be plugging Doncic into most of our lineups in his place.

Shooting Guard

Donovan Mitchell – ($9,300 DK) Mitchell is questionable coming into tonight’s slate, as we saw him miss his last game. Mitchells absence created a ton of value on the Jazz, as a lot of guys had the chance to step up. If Mitchell plays tonight we do not like anything on the Jazz, as everyone is expensive in a brutal matchup against the Miami Heat. However, if Mitchell sits we are going right back to the Jazz. Jordan Clarkson becomes a priority for us, and the rest of the Jazz starters all look good as well.

Small Forward

Jayson Tatum  ($9,600 DK) Normally we would be looking elsewhere when Tatum is this expensive, as he has struggled to produce at the level we expected from him coming into the season. However, when Brown is out for the Celtics Tatum is the only guy who can really score at a high caliber. We usually see Tatum take on monster usage when Brown sits, so he is a spend up option we really like for tonight as well. For Cash games we would get to the Lakers studs over Tatum, but we are happy getting to him where we can in Tournaments.

Power Forward

De’Andre Hunter – ($4,100 DKIf we end up getting the news that guys like Mitchell and Davis get ruled out, we are probably going to end up with some value plays who look a lot better then Hunter here. However, as of now Hunter is one of the budget options that stands out to us. We have seen Hunter playing tons of minutes lately, and we expect hunter to be priced over $5,000 this season. He has had some good games, and all the floor time he sees gives him a solid floor.

Center

Deandre Ayton – ($6,500 DK) Ayton has been averaging 34.3 FPTS per game so far this season and we have seen play some decent minutes lately. Ayton is a fantastic DFS producer, and we expect his average to get higher as the season progresses. Ayton is too cheap on tonight’s slate, as he should be around $7,000 right now. We love trying to fit Ayton into our lineup alongside our core stars, as his price allows him to be squeezed into a ton of lineups.

General strategy

We are going to focus on the potential injuries for our general strategy tonight, as that is what is going to be most important as your putting lineups together.

We will start with Kyle Lowry, who is currently questionable for the Miami Heat. Lowry takes solid usage for the Heat and does a lot of playmaking, so we will see a lot of opportunity clear up if he sits. Jimmy Bulter becomes a strong spend up option if Lowry sits, but still not an absolute priority for us. The guy we like most if Lowry can’t go tonight would be Tyler Herro. Herro has shown huge upside this year and we will expect a ton of minutes from him if Lowry sits. If Davis ends up out tonight, we have a crazy situation where some of these dirt cheap Lakers options have to see a ton of floor time. Deandre Jordan and Dwight Howard both look great if Davis sits. We can also get to cheaper guys like Malik Monk and Rajon Rondo, as pretty much all the Lakers should see a step up. It is going to be key to keep an eye on the news tonight and adjust accordingly.
