Fred VanVleet

We have an overwhelming thirteen games to breakdown for NBA DFS tonight, and as you can imagine there is a lot we have to go over here. Whenever we have a slate of this size it is always a problem of too many strong options. Our biggest challenge is going to be choosing between multiple fantastic options at every price point. We know we are going back to the Oklahoma City Thunder today, as their guys are still not priced for there production with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander sidelined. In our free content today, we will cover one priority for the Thunder as well as one of our favorite stars tonight. We will also get to one fade on this slate who we are happy to pass on with all these options. In our premium content we will get to more priorities across the slate, followed by some potential news we are waiting on.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 11/24/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardF. VanVleet $7,800
Shooting GuardL. Dort $5,100
Small Forward
Power Forward
Center
Guard
Forward
Utility

Fred VanVleet comes at a nice price tag of $7,800 here, as he is doing so much for the Raptors offence. VanVleet is averaging over 38 minutes on the season, with huge usage and playmaking responsibilities. VanVleet is averaging over 40 FPTPS on the game, and a lot of that comes by way of 50 FPT outings. The Raptors have a solid matchup against the Grizzlies here, and we like betting on a big night from VanVleet at this price. If OG Anunoby remains sidelined, it is more likely VanVleet must take over offensively.

One guy who we have been all over for most of the season is Lu Dort. The reason we were so high on Dort is he is very young, and we saw him doing a lot offensively at the tail end of last season. Dort started the season ugly, but he has had a bunch of nice games recently. Dort was already too cheap at $5,100 before SGA got hurt, and now he is a real priority for us. We expect Dort to play close to 40 minutes here and put up nearly 20 shot attempts. He is also an absolute beast at collecting defensive stats. He has huge upside, as we saw Dort go for over 50 FPTS a few games ago. With Gilgeous-Alexander out, we love the upside on Dort in this spot.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 11/24/21 (using DraftKings Values)

This is our third fade in the last week and a half for Kevin Durant as he has not been a guy you needed in a little while. Durant has been priced up over $11,000, so you need him to be a top producer on the slate. Durant consistently goes for around 50 FPTs, but he rarely goes for 60 which is what we need at this price. Durant has shown a pretty low floor lately and he has not shown a good ceiling game in weeks. Comparing him to his teammate Harden, there average production is similar. However, the upside on Harden is so much better, so he is a guy we want some of for big tournaments.

Now what do you get if you sign up now for $99?
• A cheap center who is getting the start right now.
• A star guard whose upside is second to none.
• One guy we expect to do a lot offensively for OKC.
• A superstar with the highest floor in the NBA.

Point Guard

LaMelo Ball – PG ($10,700 DK) The sophomore is having a tremendous season so far, as he consistently has some of the most electric performances in the NBA. Ball is a little bit expensive for his medium production here, but he is still very important for tournaments due to his upside. Ball’s upside is as good as the $12,000 plays, and at this point he might even have the best upside in the entire league. He can easily go for 60 FPTS and is always a candidate for top producer on the slate.

Shooting Guard

Patty Mills  ($4,700 DK) Mills has been consistently playing over 30 minutes as the Nets are extremely thing with Joe Harris and now Bruce Brown out. Mills has been fantastic over the stretch, as he has scored over 25 FPTS in four of the last five outings. We expect Mills to continue playing around 35 minutes with solid usage here, and his production shows he is too cheap for this role.

Small Forward

Josh Giddey  ($6,600 DK) Giddey is one of the first names that we will think of after hearing that SGA is still out. Giddey went for 40.25 FPTS last time without Gilgeous-Alexander, and we saw him create a lot of offence for the Thunder. Giddey is going to be the clear playmaker for OKC in this spot, and he has the potential to put a ton of shots up with all the extra usage. He has been priced up a bit since the last game, but he is still too cheap for the opportunity without SGA.

Power Forward

Giannis Antetokounmpo – ($12,200 DKAntetokounmpo is the most expensive player on this slate, and he is even starting to get pricey by his own standards at $12,200. However, we have a ton of cheap value that looks great on this slate, so it is not going to be a problem paying all the way up for Antetokounmpo here. Antetokounmpo has some of the best upside on the slate, as we know he can go for 70 FPTS with an easy matchup like Detroit. Antetokounmpo was disappointing last time out, but that could be attributed to the massive blowout that occurred between the Bucks and Orlando Magic.

Center

Luka Garza – ($3,000 DKIsaiah Stewart was suspended for two games due to his altercation with LeBron James. We expect Garza to start again, and there is potential for a much better game at the minimum salary. Garza got five quick fouls last time, leading him to only play 17 minutes with the start. The Pistons have a much better matchup tonight, and we like betting on things to work out better for Garza here.

General strategy

There is a lot going on for this slate, and we want to focus on the strategies we are taking for Cash and Tournaments tonight. For Cash games, we prefer looking to some of the turbo slates over the full thirteen gamer. The one we will be looking at the most is the six game eight pm EST turbo. That slate has a lot of strong value from OKC and Detroit, without as many plays to worry about killing you for not having. We love getting to the thirteen-game goliath for GPP’s here, as you can get to a contrarian lineup that is made of all strong plays. Some guys we are looking at for tournament plays tonight are Darius Bazley, Jonas Valanciunas, Ball, Dort, and Cade Cunningham. Good luck tonight, and make sure to watch for the news as anything can happen with thirteen games.

Go win your lineup and tell us how you did. Twitter (@FantasyDFSX) is a good place for that.
