There are eight NBA games for us to breakdown tonight, as we have a ton of value to play around with once again. Our favorite team for value right off the bat here is going to be the Orlando Magic, as a lot of Magic players are way too cheap for how they have been producing. We have a lot more value on the bottom of this slate then the top, so our challenge is going to be finding studs that look as good as our budget plays. Our core plays for the day include one value option who looks great from Orlando, as well as one of our favorite stars on the slate. Along with one star who is an easy fade for us here. In our premium content we will get to all the plays we are building around as well as some big injury news we are waiting on.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 11/20/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Point Guard
Shooting Guard
Small ForwardT. Ross $3,400
Power ForwardJ. Tatum $9,900
Center
Guard
Forward
Utility

We mentioned in our introduction that a lot of the value on Orlando is way too cheap tonight. Ross has been great over the past handful of games, as he has scored 28.25, 29.5 and 22.5 FPTS respectively in his last three games. Ross has been consistently playing around 30 minutes per game and he is taking massive usage, similar to what we saw him do for Orlando last year. Ross is only $3,400 tonight, making him one of the best value options on the slate regardless of what news comes.

The stars on this slate look a lot less enticing than the budget options, as a lot of guys are expensive for their production. If Jaylen Brown remains out for the Celtics then we really like getting to Jayson Tatum here, as Tatum has had some big games recently without Brown. Tatum went for 64 FPTS last time out and over 57 FPTS in the game before, as he always must put up a ton of shots when Brown is sidelined. If Tatum has another one of his big nights here he will likely be a must play with the way this slate is working out.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 11/20/21 (using DraftKings Values)

It has not been a very productive start of the season for Bradley Beal, who is averaging a relatively low 41.5 FPTS per game. Beal is our fade here, as he is way too expensive for how he has been producing at $9,400. Beal has not hit 50 FPTS since October, and we do not expect that outlier performance in a nightmare matchup against the Miami Heat.

Now what do you get if you sign up now for $99?
• A budget point guard who is on fire right now.
• A starting guard who is not being priced for the role he is playing.
• A stud big man who is in the position to explode tonight.
• A super cheap center who has been seeing a ton of minutes.

Point Guard

Jalen Suggs – PG ($3,800 DK) Suggs was questionable yesterday, but it was obvious he was way too cheap if he was going to play. He ended up taking the court yesterday, and he dropped 37.5 FPTS in 32 minutes. Suggs could end up sitting here, as he was questionable going into a back to back. However, if Suggs continues to play and start here we assume he is going to play solid minutes. He is way too cheap in that case and will be a priority for us if he plays.

Shooting Guard

Marcus Smart  ($5,100 DK) If Brown sits tonight Smart will be a priority and our favorite play from the Celtics. Smart has been fantastic in the seven games without Brown, as he has played over 30 minutes every single game. He has crushed value at this price point in six out of the seven, with the exception still being a 20 FPT night. Smart must do a lot more for this team when Brown is off the floor, and it is bewildering that he has not been priced up in the entire span of Browns injury.

Small Forward

Franz Wagner  ($4,300 DK) We loved getting to Wagner for last nights nine gamer, and as he looked fantastic nothing as changed at the same price. Wagner put up 31.5 FPTS in 29 minutes last time out and he got up 13 attempts from the field. Wagner has scored over 28 FPTS in four out of his past five games, and the only reason he is so cheap here is his last game was a back to back.

Power Forward

Jeremiah Robinson-Earl – ($3,400 DKRobinson-Earl was another guy we liked for value going into last nights slate, but he was a bit disappointing with only 13.5 FPTS. However, the role we saw from Robinson-Earl makes us even more interested in rostering him for tonight. Robinson-Earl played 28 minutes last time out, and he has been consistently playing well over 20 minutes. At this price point he looks fantastic play through the sheer floor time he is seeing.

Center

Montrezl Harrel – ($6,500 DK) The Harrell play tonight is fully contingent on what happens with Daniel Gafford who is currently questionable. Harrel has consistently seen massive run when Gafford has sat this season, and he has had some huge nights with those opportunities. Harrell played over 36 minutes last time without Gafford, and his disappointing production should lead to his being under owned here.

General strategy

We are waiting on a few core pieces of news here, the most important being whether Suggs plays. Suggs is one of the best budget options on the slates if he plays, and we still are happy playing lots of Ross and Wagner. However, if Suggs sits Ross becomes an absolute lock and Wagner looks even better as well. We would also be happy getting to Gary Harris or R.J. Hampton if Suggs sits. For cash games tonight we know we are using a lot of Orlando magic alongside Tatum and Giannis Antetokounmpo. For tournaments we like getting exposure to a lot of different guys, but Smart, Harrell and Lu Dort stand out.
