Last nights slate was a crazy one. We had a ton of moving parts, as a ton of huge injury news did not come until after lock. We had eleven games to choose from and we had to be prepared for some late swapping. Tonight’s slate is a lot simpler as we only have three games going on. It is going to be a lot easier to build our lineups here, as we don’t have an overwhelming number of options to choose from. With that said, we still have some fantastic options on tonight’s slate as a few plays look fantastic. We really like the Brooklyn Nets for value tonight, as they are missing Joe Harris and of course Kyrie Irving. We also have some fantastic superstar plays here, as a few of our studs are cheaper than they have been on the last few slates. In our core picks we will get to one fantastic value from Brooklyn and one great superstar play. We will also talk about one of the stars we are fading on tonight’s slate.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 11/16/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardS. Curry $10,900
Shooting GuardP. Mills $3,800
Small Forward.
Power Forward
Center
Guard
Forward
Utility

Our favorite spend superstar on tonight’s slate is Steph Curry, who is coming in at his cheapest price tag in a few slates. Curry is $10,900, which we are happy paying for him with an easy matchup against the Brooklyn Nets. Curry is averaging over 2 more FPTS per game then anyone else on the slate, and his upside is on a league of its own. Curry can easily go for 60 FPTS on a good night, and there are not too many players that consistently show that upside tonight. Curry is the most expensive play on this slate, but we some strong budget options to help pay up for him.

We saw Joe Harris go down with injury 14 minutes into the last game, and we already have the news that he is going to be out again tonight. Harriss’s absence unlocks a lot of value for this Nets team, as they already didn’t have too many options with Irving out. Patty Mills was the biggest beneficiary when it came to minutes last time out, as he picked up 31.3 minutes. Mills smashed last time out with 38.5 FPTS, as he put up a whopping 16 shot attempts. Mills may not hit quite the same upside here, but we do expect him to play a lot of minutes without Harris. Mills is best three point shooter off the bench, and we saw last game they opted to use him to try and supplement the shooting without Harris. At $3,800 here, Mills is a fantastic value if he plays around 30 minutes again.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 11/16/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Coming into the season we were very high on drafting Dejounte Murray, as the departure of a few veterans left a huge hole for him to fill. Murray has been breaking out this season, and he has been showing huge games. He went for over 60 FPTS last time out, but his price tag has gotten too high for tonight’s slate. Murray is $9,500 here, which is hard to swallow compared to some other players. Murray does have great upside, but we need over 50 FPTS at this price, and anything short of that hurts us.

Now what do you get if you sign up now for $99?

Point Guard

Eric Bledsoe – PG ($5,200 DK) We are riding the hot hand here with Bledsoe, who has been on quite the tear lately. Bledsoe has scored 31.25, 35.75, 39.75, and 32 FPTS respectively across his past four games, as he been playing a big role for the Clippers. The Clippers have a nice matchup here against the Spurs, and Bledsoe works well on a slate without too many options.

Shooting Guard

Donnovan Mitchell  ($8,600 DK) Mitchell looks fantastic in this spot, and he is our go to guy for studs in this price range. Mitchell has been solid lately, scoring over 45 FPTS in each of his past three games. However, he has been priced down to a ten game low $8,600. Mitchell has fantastic upside, and a 50 FPT game from him could make hi ma guy you need tonight. We like this matchup against the Sixers, as their defense is not as scary with Embiid and Simmons out.

Small Forward

Kevin Durant  ($10,300 DKKevin Durant is giving you the most consistent production on the slate, as we usually see him somewhere around 50 FPTS. Like Curry, we are seeing Durant a few hundred cheaper than he has been over the last few slates. The Warriors are a fantastic matchup here, so with only three games we will be getting to a lot of Durant.

Power Forward

Keldon Johnson – ($6,000 DKJohnson has been fantastic over the past five game stretch, as he has been benefiting from the absence of Jakob Poeltl. Johnson has scored over 30 FPTS in five straight games, and he scored over 35 FPTS in four of those five. Johnson has been rebounding more without Poeltl, and his minutes have been much more consistent.

Center

Ivica Zubac – ($4,900 DK) As Serge Ibaka is with the Agua Caliente Clippers G league team, Zubac is the clear guy at center for the Clippers. Zubac has shown some nice upside recently, and we really do not have a lot of options for centers tonight. Averaging over 29 FPTS throughout the past ten days, we are happy getting to the hot hand without a lot of options here.

General strategy

There is a lot less that we must go over for tonight’s slate, as with only three games we don’t have as much information to process. As of now we don’t have any lingering questionable tags, unlike last night where we did not know if Damian Lillard, Fred VanVleet, or Jimmy Butler was playing until after lock. We already have the information we need for this slate, so it is going to be a lot easier preparing lineups. We know for Cash games tonight we are using Durant as our superstar and we really like plugging in Johnson as well. We want a little bit of exposure to Curry, Durant James Harden, and Mitchell in tournaments tonight as they all have the upside to be the guy tonight. Good luck tonight and keep an eye out in case something surprising gets announced.
