We have six games to break down on tonight’s NBA DFS slate, as there is a ton of value to talk about here. The Phoenix Suns still look great for budget options, as Chris Paul and Devin Booker will both stay on the sideline. The other team we are all over is the Cleveland Cavaliers, as all their big men look great with Jarrett Allen out. We are looking at a balanced lineup tonight, as most of the top plays from Phoenix and Cleveland are in that middle price range.

Most of our priorities tonight are between $5,000 to $7,000 tonight, but we are looking to pay all the way up for one superstar in Kevin Durant. Durant has not missed a beat since returning from injury two games ago, as he has scored over 30 real points in both games. The Nets do not have a lot of offensive options right now, so Durant must do a lot. Brooklyn have a fantastic matchup against the Hornets tonight, so we are betting on a big game from KD.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have a lot of productive big men on their roster, and everyone stands to gain some extra floor time with Jarrett Allen sidelined. Allen only played ten minutes last game, so we got some glimpse into where the minutes could fall. Lauri Markkanen crushed last time out as he played 38 minutes and scored 41.5 FPTS. Markkanen saw the most floor time out of any contest this season, which is not a big surprise given the circumstances. He is still only $5,700, so he is going to be one of our favorite options on the slate tonight. We expect Markkanen to see a ton of minutes again, and he is a great per-minute producer.

It has been a strange year for the Los Angeles Clippers who have been without their two stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George for months. A few guys have been very productive in their absence, but they have been priced up significantly. One of those guys is Reggie Jackson, who is an easy fade for us all the way up at $8,600. We have much better places to put our salary tonight, and we are being specific with the stars we spend up for.

Point Guard
Cameron Payne – ($5,300 DK) The Phoenix Suns are missing both of their usual leaders in Paul and Booker, and we have seen Payne take on a massive role in their absence. Payne has scored 46.25 and 39.5 FPTS respectively in the past two games, taking massive usage with a lot of time on the floor. It is surprising that he is only $5,300 here, but he is an absolute priority at this price.
Shooting Guard
Landry Shamet – ($3,700 DK) Shamet has been starting for the Suns with Paul and Booker out, and he has been consistently playing solid floor time. He showed some of his upside last time out when he went for 31.25 FPTS, and he is still cheap here at $3,700. Shamet is a great option to save salary, and we do not have a lot under $4,000 that stands out tonight.
Jae Crowder – ($5,100 DK) Crowder is usually not the most exciting DFS play, but this is a special situation with Paul, Booker, and Cameron Johnson sidelined. Crowder has been great over the past few games, averaging 31.6 FPTS across the past ten days. Crowder scored 37.3 FPTS last game, and that upside is not surprising with the increased usage he is taking.
Evan Mobley – ($7,000 DK) Mobley stepped into a great role as a center without Allen in the last game, and we saw him absolutely crush with 53.3 FPTS. Mobley took over on the glass with seventeen rebounds, and his usage was great. We love getting back to Mobley at this price as Allen remains out, and this is a great matchup against Indiana.
Deandre Ayton – ($6,600 DK) Ayton looks remarkable in this spot, as his price is great, and he has a ton of upside with the injuries. Ayton took nineteen shot attempts last game, matching his season-high as he went for 44.5 FPTS. We expect Ayton to continue taking a huge role in the Sun’s offense, as he is the best player that they have available by far.
General strategy
This is another slate that works great for Cash games, as we have some locks for value that make it easy to build the perfect lineup for 50/50s. Payne, Markkanen, Mobley, Crowder, and Ayton are all Cash locks for us tonight, as they are too cheap for the roles they must take on right now. We also love Durant for Cash, as he is always a consistent DFS producer when he is playing. We are still getting to those value options a lot for tournaments, and we will be looking to get contrarian with our stars like last night. Darius Garland, Jonas Valanciunas, and Kevin Love look good as they offer massive upside.
