Last night’s slate got hectic, as we had superstar after superstar ruled out throughout the evening. We have a little bit of that tonight, but things are a lot easier to manage with only five games on this slate. We expect Ja Morant to remain sidelined, so the Grizzlies are an absolute priority for us here. The other team we are looking to for value here is the Washington Wizards, who are very thin with Kyle Kuzma on the sideline.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 3/24/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardT. Jones $4,300
Shooting Guard
Small Forward
Power ForwardG. Antetokounmpo $11,700
Center
Guard
Forward
Utility

If Morant sits tonight, Tyus Jones is the best play on this slate. He always steps into the starting spot without Morant, and he has been fantastic in this stretch. Jones has scored 30.25 and 34 FPTS respectively across the past two games, as he has had the ball in his hand a lot starting at point. Jones has been priced down to $4,300 for this slate, making him a lock for value.

We really liked Giannis Antetokounmpo last time out, as we expected his usage to be high with Khris Middleton off the floor. Antetokounmpo only played 29.4 minutes, but that was enough for him to drop 59.25 FPTS. Antetokounmpo did a lot of everything in the last one, and that is what we expect from him on a nightly basis. Middleton will remain out tonight for an easy matchup against Washington, so we are looking to spend up for Antetokounmpo again for this one.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 3/24/22 (using DraftKings Values)

We have a few price tags at the top that is hard to justify paying tonight, starting with Darius Garland. Garland is a terrific DFS producer, and he has great upside. However, he is all the way up to $9,700 for this slate, so we must sacrifice a lot to get to him. We want to spend for the Freak tonight, and we have a few priorities in the $5,000 – $8,000 range. We won’t have the salary to get to Garland here, and we can get similar upside for much cheaper.

Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month  or $99 For The Year…
• A superstar guard in a great spot.
• The rest of our priorities from Memphis.
• A cheap center who has been playing a cheap role.
• How we are handling Cash Games vs. GPPs with all the injury news.

Point Guard

Devin Booker – ($9,300 DKChris Paul is nearing his return for the Suns, which we must monitor as our interest in Booker will diminish when Paul is able to play. However, we still really like Booker here if we get the news that Paul will remain out, as he has been doing everything offensively for this team. Booker has been productive over the past few games, and he has a ton of upside in the role he is playing right now.

Shooting Guard

Desmond Bane – ($7,100 DK) Bane is a fantastic play with Morant off the floor, as he takes a massive role as the number one option for the Grizzlies. Bane scored 38.5 FPTS last game, as he took 17 shots in 32 minutes. We expect similar usage if Morant remains sidelined tonight, so $7,100 is a great price to pay here. Bane is a high-upside guy, which is what we are looking for in this spot.

Small Forward

Dillon Brooks – ($5,700 DK) Brooks is one of our favorite plays tonight, as his recent injury issues are leaving him way too cheap for this one. At $5,700 Brooks would be a solid play if Morant was playing, so he looks incredible with Morant sidelined. Brooks has taken a ton of usage over the past few games which have led to back-to-back performances well over 30 FPTS. In this spot, Brooks has a high floor and a great ceiling, so there is nothing to hesitate about here.

Power Forward

Rui Hachimura – ($4,500 DK) The Wizards forwards make for some great value tonight, as Washington will remain without Kyle Kuzma. Hachimura has been starting in Kuzma’s absence and playing around 30 minutes. He was productive last time out with 29 FPTS, and he has upside for a lot more given the lack of options on this team.

Center

Goga Bitadze – ($4,900 DK) The center position is not quite as loaded as we see on some other slates, but we still do have some solid options here. The Indiana Pacers are missing a few big men, so Bitadze has been playing a ton of run. He is averaging 34.8 FPTS per game over the past ten days and should be in for a big opportunity tonight.

General strategy

Despite there only being five games tonight, we have a ton of value to get to. For Cash games tonight our number one team will be the Memphis Grizzlies, as the value, they offer really stands out. We will also be getting to a lot of the Wizards, specifically their cheaper forwards. Those guys all look good for tournaments but will be high-owned. Going to the cheaper value from the Bucks is one way to get contrarian here, another option is to go a balanced lineup without Antetokounmpo or Nikola Jokic. Good luck with this one, and make sure to keep an eye out for more injuries.
