NBA DFS Advice for March 23, 2022

Spencer Dinwiddie

There is a lot going on between eleven games on tonight’s NBA DFS slate. The first team we must mention here is the Dallas Mavericks, who are in the perfect position for DFS tonight. Luka Doncic is sidelined, and they play against the Houston Rockets, to the remaining Mavs offer a ton of value. We also really like getting to the Sacramento Kings tonight as they are thin in the frontcourt with Domantas Sabonis sidelined.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 3/23/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardS. Dinwiddie $6,400
Shooting GuardR. Bullock $4,200
Small Forward
Power Forward
Center
Guard
Forward
Utility

As we mentioned there is going to be a ton of usage on the table in Dallas tonight, where Doncic usually does just about everything on offense. Spencer Dinwiddie is a fantastic option her at $6,400, as we know he has a ton of upside when the opportunity is there for him. Dinwiddie has been productive recently, averaging 34.7 FPTS across the past ten days. If he is to see any boost with Doncic off the floor he should provide some nice value, and his upside is fantastic in this spot.

Staying with the Mavericks here for our second core play, we really like getting to Reggie Bullock for value option. Bullock has been playing a ton of run for the Mavericks, and after missing a few games he was great last time out with 34.75 FPTS. Bullock is usually a lower usage guy, but we expect him to get some shots off with Doncic off the floor. $4,200 is a great price here, and sg/sg eligibility is as good as it gets.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 3/23/22 (using DraftKings Values)

With eleven games we can never get to everybody, and some guys are not in a great DFS spot for this slate. One guy we are fading here is Jayson Tatum who has a tough matchup against the Utah Jazz. Tatum is all the way up at $10,100 for this one, so we would have to sacrifice a lot to get to him. Although he has good upside, we have much better options given the matchup.

Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month  or $99 For The Year…
• A superstar guard we are spending up for tonight.
• Two wings that have massive upside.
• A budget big man who should see some nice floor time here.
• Our priorities from Memphis with Ja Morant on the sideline.

Point Guard

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – ($9,700 DK) Gilgeous-Alexander has become one of the best DFS producers in the NBA, as he has had to take on a massive role with injuries to Josh Giddey and Lu Dort. We really like spending up for SGA here, as he has shown the ability to consistently go over 60 FPTS in this role. Gilgeous-Alexander is cheaper than some of the other options with his upside tonight, so he is a priority for us.

Shooting Guard

Jalen Brunson – ($6,700 DK) We are fine with playing both Brunson and Dinwiddie tonight, but we are also happy to keep it to one for GPPs. Brunson has been a little bit less consistent since Dinwiddie has been added to the lineup, but there will be more than enough opportunity for him with Doncic sidelined. Brunson has a lot of upside in this spot and is a great Cash play if he starts.

Small Forward

RJ Barrett – ($7,900 DK) Barrett was a priority for us yesterday against the Atlanta Hawks, and he looked a lot better once we got the news that Julius Randle was sidelined. He crushed with 54.25 FPTS, as he took 25 shot attempts and dominated the glass. The Knicks have a great matchup against the Hornets tonight, so we are happy getting to Barrett if Randle plays. However, Barrett will become an absolute lock if we find out that Randle will sit another game.

Power Forward

Justise Winslow – ($5,900 DK) Winslow returned from injury three games ago, and he has quickly stepped into a huge role for this Portland squad. Winslow is playing around 30 minutes in close games, and he has taken high usage in the past few contests. He has a lot of upside as a producer, and we always like getting to a team that does not have many options.

Center

Damian Jones – ($3,700 DK) Domantas Sabonis is sidelined for the Kings tonight, which opens a lot of opportunity for the other Sacramento bigs. Jones played 22 minutes Sabonis missing the fourth quarter last game, and he provided some great value with 29.3 FPTS. We are waiting on if Jones gets the start here, but at this price, he looks solid either way.

General strategy

We just got the news that Ja Morant will remain out tonight for the Grizzlies, so there is a lot that we like from Memphis. Desmond Bane is an absolute priority for us at $6,900, as he proved last game that he is the guy for this team with Morant off the floor. Another guy we are all over here is Dillon Brooks, who is way cheaper than he should be at $5,600. Brooks has seen some massive usage with Morant out, and his minutes will continue to rise as he gets back to perfect shape. For value we like Tyus Jones, who should continue to start at point in Morant’s absence.
