There are only four NBA games tonight, but we have a lot of value to break down here. We really like getting to the Milwaukee Bucks for budget options on this slate, as a few guys stand out in the absence of Khris Middleton. There is also a lot of usage going around in Golden State, where Steph Curry will remain sidelined for the near future. We are going to a stars and scrubs lineup here, as we want to get to one of the superstar-level guys at the top end.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 3/22/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardJ. Poole $7,400
Shooting Guard
Small ForwardP. Connaughton $3,70 0
Power Forward
Center
Guard
Forward
Utility

The price has been rising on Jordan Poole, who is up to $7,400 for tonight. However, we are still happy rostering him given the role he is playing at point guard with Curry sidelined. Poole has been hot for a little while now, as he is averaging 41.4 FPTS across the past ten days. He took on a monster role in the first game without Curry and finished with 39.3 FPTS. We saw Poole take 21 shots last game, and we know he has a ton of upside with Curry off the floor.

Pat Connaughton missed over a month with a knee injury, but he played well in 20 minutes last game for his first game back. Connaughton went for 26.25 FPTS, as he took a solid 11 shot attempts. We expect him to see some solid run for the Bucks tonight, as they will be short-handed on wings with Middleton off the floor. Connaughton has some decent upside, and his salary of $3,700 goes a long way for us tonight.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 3/22/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Despite the shorter slate, we have a lot of options that stand out at the top end tonight. One guy we are going to be fading here is Trae Young, who has a tough matchup tonight against the Knicks. Young is expensive here at $10,400, as there are some stars we can get to for much cheaper.

Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month or $99 For The Year…
• A budget guard who is stepping into a nice starting role.
• Two stud wings with massive upside under $8,000.
• One superstar we are spending up for here.
• Our strategy for handling Cash games vs. GPPs tonight.

Point Guard

Alex Caruso – ($4,100 DK) Caruso played point guard for the Bulls last game, and it was indicated that he will remain in that role. He was ok last night with 21.5 FPTS, but we love the role he played as starting PG. He was on the floor for 33 minutes, and he went for six assists. If Caruso is going to keep doing so much for this team we expect more productive performances from him, and he is still very cheap here at $4,100.

Shooting Guard

Zach Lavine – ($7,500 DK) Lavine was a priority for us last night due to his price tag, so we were surprised to see he has gotten even cheaper for tonight. Lavine was great in the last one, going for 46 FPTS in 35 minutes. Lavine is averaging 39.5 FPTS on the season, and he is a massive upside guy. He is too cheap at this price, which makes him an obvious priority for DFS.

Small Forward

RJ Barrett – ($7,600 DK) This is one of our weaker positions tonight, so we are happy spending a bit of salary to roster Barrett. He has been one of the leagues highest usage players over the past few weeks, which has led to some dynamic nights for DFS. Barrett has gotten a bit cheaper here and has a lot of room to work with here to show some strong value.

Power Forward

Giannis Antetokounmpo – ($12,100 DK) We know that we want to spend up for either Antetokounmpo or Nikola Jokic tonight, as those two really stand out as the top DFS producers on the slate. We are leaning towards Antetokounmpo tonight, for a few reasons. Firstly, he is a little easier for us to roster, being $300 cheaper and forward eligible. Antetokounmpo also could be in for a boost tonight, as we expect some great usage out of him with Middleton off the floor.

Center

Clint Capela – ($6,400 DK) We do not have as many priorities at center as we often do, but there is still a ton of upside coming out of this position. We are still high on Clint Capela, who has been playing around 30 minutes a night or more in the absence of John Collins. Capela has massive DFS upside, especially if he can get some blocks going. He has been solid over the past few games, but there is still a lot of upside he is yet to show us this season.

General strategy

For Cash games tonight we really like focusing on the Bucks, as they offer a ton of value without Middleton. We will be plugging in Antetokounmpo and surrounding him with value options like Connaughton and Caruso. We will be getting to all our priorities in tournaments, but with only four games we have to focus on how to get contrarian. Capela, Barrett, and Nikola Vucevic are all GPP priorities for us as they have a ton of upside and should be somewhat low-owned. Good luck tonight, and make sure to watch if any unexpected news breaks.
