We have a lot to talk about for tonight’s nine-game NBA DFS slate, as there is a lot to like across the slate. We are looking at a very balanced lineup tonight, as most of our favorite options are midrange studs priced $7,000 – $8,000. We do not have a ton of cheap value tonight, so we are looking to avoid the superstars we must spend $11,000 – $12,000 for. One team that really stands out tonight is the Cleveland Cavaliers, as guys are priced well with Jarrett Allen sidelined and a great matchup against the Lakers.

We do not have a ton of cheap value tonight, so one guy who really stands out is Kris Dunn. Dunn looks fantastic here, and his price of $3,800 is key for our lineup. He has played four games since joining the Trailblazers, going well over 20 FPTS in each of the last three. Dunn stands out as a value play tonight, as we expect him to continue playing solid run for Portland.
Saddiq Bey has been on fire lately, going for 40 FPTS last game and a whopping 78.75 FPTS in the last game. Bey promises to continue his production here, as he should see some extra usage with Jerami Grant off the floor. The Pistons have a fantastic matchup against Portland tonight, so they look good here. Bey is still cheap at $7,100, making him our priority from Detroit.
Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 3/21/22 (using DraftKings Values)
As we have mentioned there are not a lot of cheap options tonight, so we must be very specific about the stars we spend up of. Joel Embiid has been having a tremendous season, but he has going to be a fade for us here. Embiid is tough to spend up for at $11,000, and this matchup is awful against the Miami Heat.
Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month or $99 For The Year…
• A stud guard who is too cheap here.
• One star who has been on fire lately.
• A few priorities from the Cavaliers.
• Some key questionable tags we are watching tonight.
Point Guard
Fred VanVleet – ($7,900 DK) We do not know for sure if VanVleet is going to play tonight, but we like him if he plays. VanVleet always plays a ton of minutes, and usually, he is not limited if on the floor. VanVleet takes massive usage for the Raptors offense, so we are always happy when we can roster him under $8,000. The Raptors have a great matchup tonight, and VanVleet gives us the kind of upside we are always looking for.
Shooting Guard
Donovan Mitchell – ($9,000 DK) Since we are going to a more balanced lineup tonight, we are happy with Mitchell being our most expensive play. Mitchell has been crushing, going over 50 FPTS in three straight contests. He has an amazing matchup against the Brooklyn Nets here, so we are very happy riding the hot hand at this price.
Zach Lavine – ($7,600 DK) The Bulls have generally been too expensive for us this season, but the tables have been flipped tonight as Lavine is too cheap for his upside here. He is averaging 39.4 FPTS per game, and as a volume scorer, he can always go for a huge night. The Raptors are a solid matchup for Lavine, so we will be playing a lot of him at $7,600.
Lauri Markkanen – ($7,200 DK) We have seen Markkanen play consistent minutes with Allen out, and he has had some great games. He showed his upside a few nights ago with 60 FPTS, as he should continue to see nice opportunities. The Cavaliers have an amazing matchup tonight against the Los Angeles Lakers, which is what makes Markkanen a fantastic value here.
Evan Mobley – ($7,900 DK) When Allen got hurt Mobley moved from power forward to center, which has led to a huge boost in his DFS production. Mobley has been crushing on the boards, while his usage has been higher as the clear option inside. We expect Mobley to dominate the Lakers frontcourt in this matchup, and they are a great team to face as a rebounding big.
General strategy
We are waiting on a few big pieces of news for this one, starting with the questionable tag on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. SGA sat last game, and there is a lot to like on OKC if he sits again. Theo Maledon, Tre Mann, and Aleksej Pokusevski are all priorities if SGA is not available. Another guy we are watching is Karl-Anthony Towns, who is also questionable for this one. Anthony Edwards, Jared Vanderbilt, and D’Angelo Russell all look good if Towns sits. Have fun tonight and keep track of all the news we must monitor.
