There are seven NBA DFS games to breakdown tonight, as we have a surprising lack of value here. There are some fantastic plays, but we do not have too many different directions that scream out at us here. The team we must start with is the Golden State Warriors, as we recently got the news that Steph Curry will miss the final stretch of the regular season. Curry does everything for the Warriors, so there is always a ton of room for other guys to step up when he sits.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 3/20/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardJ. Poole $7,000
Shooting GuardB. Hyland $5,200
Small Forward
Power Forward
Center
Guard
Forward
Utility

Whenever Curry is sidelined the first guy we are looking at for DFS is Jordan Poole. Poole has been fantastic over the past few weeks, averaging 41.3 FPTS across the past ten days. We expect him to have the ball in his hands a lot as the primary point guard without Curry, so his upside is tremendous right now. Poole is too cheap at $7,000 with Curry out, and the Warriors have a fantastic matchup against the fast-paced Spurs.

One guy who has been on fire over the past week is Bones Hyland¸ who has gone over 30 FPTS in each of the past four contests. Hyland has been taking on some fantastic usage for the Nuggets, as he has been stepping into a bigger role. He played 35 minutes in a close game last time out, and he offers a lot of upside at $5,200 here. We don’t have a ton of budget options tonight, so we are going to be getting to a lot of Hyland.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 3/20/22 (using DraftKings Values)

A lot of our top-end options are priced well tonight, so there are not many guys we are happy to fade here. One option we are getting away from is Jayson Tatum, who is a little too expensive for us at $10,000. Tatum is a good DFS producer, but we have much better options in this price range tonight. We also do not have a lot of cheap plays, so we must sacrifice a lot to pay $10,000 for someone.

Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month or $99 For The Year…
• A star guard in a great spot tonight.
• Two stud wings with massive upside.
• The rest of our priorities from The Warriors.
• A few guys we like from Toronto with Fred VanVleet sidelined.

Point Guard

Devin Booker – ($9,000 DK) Booker was a little bit disappointing last game production wise, but his minutes were limited in a massive blowout win. Booker has a fantastic matchup against the Sacramento Kings tonight, and we love getting back to him with Chris Paul off the floor. Booker’s usage has been spectacular in Paul’s absence, and we have seen him go for some huge assist nights.

Shooting Guard

Klay Thompson – ($7,900 DK) Thompson is expensive here, but we expect that to keep his ownership on the lower side. He has been taking a nice role for the Warriors, as he continues to look healthier by the game. With Curry off the floor, there is room for Thompson to take on some massive usage, which means he offers a lot of upside here. The Spurs are a great matchup, so we are happy getting to a few Warriors tonight.

Small Forward

RJ Barrett – ($7,800 DK) The forward positions are weak tonight, so we are desperate for options with good upside. Barrett has become of the highest usage guys in the NBA, which leads to a lot of massive DFS explosions. He has a tough matchup against the Jazz tonight, but that should let him get him at pretty low ownership here.

Power Forward

Andrew Wiggins – ($7,200 DK) Wiggins has been good lately, going over 40 FPTS against the Bucks last game. We have seen him drop some huge performances when Curry was sidelined this season and a good matchup helps. Wiggins is not as expensive as he should be given the situation, so he is another Warrior we are getting to a lot.

Center

Deandre Ayton – ($7,100 DK) Ayton was a priority for us against the Bulls last night, and he managed to score 38 FPTS in only 24 minutes. Ayton has been great lately, as the injuries on the Suns have led to some extra usage for him. Ayton has a fantastic matchup against the Kings tonight, who have weak interior defenders. We are looking at more of a balanced build tonight, so this kind of price works very well.

General strategy

We just got the news that Fred VanVleet is out tonight, which creates some value on the Raptors. Scottie Barnes, Pascal Siakam, and Gary Trent Jr. all look like great spend-up options. We are also curious to see who starts for the Raptors here, as a surprising start at the point like Armoni Brooks could make for nice value. We are waiting to see if Trae Young remains out here, as we would love to get back to the Hawks if that is the case. Delon Wright and Bogdan Bogdanovic would be our priorities if Young sits. Good luck tonight and keep an eye on any more news that may break.
