With only four games tonight all our focus is on the Memphis Grizzlies who promise to offer a ton of value with Ja Morant considered doubtful. Morant does absolutely everything for this team offensively, so there will be a ton of opportunity going around if he sits. Grizzlies will be at the core of our Cash lineups, and we will be getting to them a ton for tournaments as well.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 3/15/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardT. Jones $3,400
Shooting GuardD. Bane $6,700
Small Forward
Power Forward
Center
Guard
Forward
Utility

If Morant sits tonight Tyus Jones is a no-brainer for cheap value. Jones typically starts in Morant’s absence, which is what we expect to see tonight. He is only coming in at $3,400 here, so he does not need to do much to provide value for us. Jones is averaging 19.4 FPTS on the season, and we know he would be over $5,000 if Morant had been sidelined for a while. There is a lot to like from the Grizzlies, and Jones stands out at the top of our interest.

Sticking with the Grizzlies for our second core play tonight, we really like getting to Desmond Bane at $6,700. Bane is a top-scoring option on the Grizzlies, and we expect him to be their number one option with no Morant. Bane is averaging over 30 FPTS on the season, and he has shown massive upside this season. We expect to see Bane take a comical number of attempts from the field here, so we are very happy betting on his upside.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 3/14/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Kyrie Irving showed his best game of the season last week when he went for 50 real points and 69.75 FPTS. With that said, Irving is all the way up at $10,200 tonight and we are fading him at that price. We have far better options for cheaper tonight like Devin Booker, so it is hard to justify getting to Irving in a single entry.

Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month or $99 For The Year…
• A budget guard with massive upside tonight.
• A superstar guard who is doing everything for his squad.
• One star big we want to spend up for here.
• Some general thoughts on all the value from Memphis tonight.

Point Guard

Markelle Fultz – ($4,200 DK) Fultz has been active for a few weeks now for the Magic, and his play is starting to show some great promise. Fultz has gone over 30 FPTS in back-to-back games, so he is starting to get enticing at this $4,200 price tag. Fultz has a lot of upside in this spot, which is huge on smaller slates like this.

Shooting Guard

Devin Booker – ($9,600 DK) Booker was a priority for us last time out, as we always expect him to do a lot when Chris Paul is off the floor. Booker was fantastic in the last one, as he went for 58 FPTS. He picked up ten assists while taking 25 attempts from the floor, as the Suns relied on him to do everything offensively. Booker has an easy matchup tonight, so we are still happy getting to him at this increased price.

Small Forward

Dillon Brooks – ($4,900 DK) Brooks was sidelined for about two months with an injury, and he returned in the last game. Brooks played 26 minutes in his first game back, and he took 14 attempts. We expect his minutes to trend upwards here, and his usage should be fantastic with Morant out. Brooks is not going to be under $5,000 for long, so this is a fantastic opportunity to roster him while his price is down.

Power Forward

Wendell Carter Jr. – ($7,400 DK) We really like targeting the Orlando Magic tonight, as they have a fantastic matchup against the Brooklyn Nets. Carter Jr. looks fantastic here, as he has been crushing lately with some amazing upside. He scored 48.5 FPTS in the last game, and he has gone over 40 FPTS in three of the past five. The Nets give up a ton of FPTS to bigs so the upside on Carter is tremendous here.

Center

Bam Adebayo – ($8,200 DK) The Heat have a fantastic matchup against the Detroit Pistons tonight, and we know Adebayo has been showing a ton of upside lately. He went for 45.5 FPTS and 60.75 FPTS in the game before. We do not have a ton of options to spend up for tonight, so Adebayo really stands out at this price.

General strategy

With this kind of a slate, we often land on the question of how many Grizzlies are too many. For Cash games, it is as many as DraftKings will let you play, as these guys stand out as the clear best values. We want to get to a ton of Grizzlies for tournaments as well, but we may be moving towards guys we expect to be less owned. We will also have a lot of Magic guys for tournaments, as they should be less owned than the Grizzlies value.
