Tonight, is something of a shocking change from last night’s twelve-game slate, as we only have two games to look at tonight. There is some amazing basketball tonight, but for DFS we have a lot less value than we have been used to. The two NBA MVP frontrunners are at the forefront of this slate, as Joel Embiid and Ni kola Jokic are both in amazing spots tonight. We are looking to stars and scrubs build tonight, as the superstars playing are too good to pass up on.
Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 3/10/22 (using DraftKings Values)
|Point Guard||G. Dragic||$3,600|
This is an interesting slate, as we do not have too many options, but we have a few of the best possible superstar spend-ups. As a result, we are desperate to find value and our standards for budget plays are relatively low. Goran Dragic is a priority for us tonight because of the flexibility we gain from his $3,600 price. Dragic is playing some solid run off the bench in this spot, as he has gone over 20 FPTS in two of the past three games.
The Philadelphia 76ers matchup with the Brooklyn Nets is going to be something of a spectacle for NBA fans, and there are some great options in DFS. This is an amazing spot for Joel Embiid, who we expect to crush against the Nets frontcourt. Andre Drummond is no match for Embiid inside, and the Nets play at a fast pace. Embiid has been showing some of the best upside in the NBA lately, as we saw last game when he went over 74 FPTS. Embiid is coming in at his lowest price in a few months here at $10,800, so there is a lot to like in this spot.
Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 3/10/22 (using DraftKings Values)
If you are playing MME tonight you really should not be fading anyone at the top end, as there are not that many options with only two games. However, Embiid and Nikola Jokic both look amazing, which takes away from other superstars for a single entry. Kyrie Irving is coming off a massive 69.8 FPT performance, but we are low on him tonight at $9,900. We would much rather pay a little bit more for Embiid, Jokic, or Irving’s teammate in Kevin Durant.
Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month or $99 For The Year…
• A cheap guard who has been on fire.
• A few budget options we are using for salary savings.
• Our second superstar priority for tonight.
• Some thoughts for handling Cash games vs. GPPs on this slate.
Monte Morris – ($4,700 DK) We are waiting on some key news from the Denver Nuggets tonight, as we saw both Will Barton and Monte Morris sidelined, which lead to Morris continuing his streak of good production. Morris has gone well over 30 FPTS in each of the past three games, so it is surprising to see his price has come down for tonight. Morris is a great salary fit for our squad tonight, and he offer some solid upside of his own.
Jordan Poole – ($5,200 DK) Poole has been on a tear lately, scoring over 34 FPTS in each of his past four games. With only two games tonight Poole really stands out at this $5,200 price tag, as he could be a must-have if he continues his recent production. The Shooting guard position is weak tonight, so it makes a lot of sense to plugin Poole.
Moses Moody – ($3,500 DK) The Warriors have been giving solid run to Moody as of late, which has led to some nice production from the rookie. Moody has played over 30 minutes in each of the past two games, and he always plays a ton of run in blowouts. If he can put together another solid game tonight, we are going to NEED this price tag, as the $3,500 salary makes it easy for us to get to our big stars.
Georges Niang – ($3,300 DK) It is hard to get excited about Georges Niang, as he is not the most polarizing DFS producer. However, he has been solid lately and he is coming in at only $3,300 tonight. Niang loves to shoot three’s so he always has some upside if he can have a good shooting night. Regardless, we can do a lot with this price tag.
Nikola Jokic – ($11,200 DK) The Joker was one of our favorite options last night, and he showed another dominant performance with 77 FPTS. Jokic has been priced down significantly here, which makes it a lot easier to spend up for him with the lack of value tonight. Jokic and Embiid stand way ahead of the rest of the slate tonight, so we are happy getting to both as the main place we are putting our salary.
For cash games tonight we are looking to our approach of surrounding Jokic and Embiid with cheap value, as they are both guys we need for Cash tonight. That is a solid strategy for tournaments as well, as big games from Jokic and Embiid could be the winning combo. However, both of those guys will be very highly owned. For big GPPs we will be looking at some lineups around James Harden, Kevin Durant or some more balanced plays as that will likely be more contrarian here.
